“This is my dog’s 3rd visit with Etta. She is the best. She goes above and beyond. I broke one of the handles off my dog’s bag and she sewed it on without me even asking or knowing she could sew. She even reinforced the other strap so that wouldn’t break off. Thank you!!!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs at every life stage, from puppies to seniors, with a variety of breeds and temperaments. Right now, I have a small breed senior who is still fairly active. I am typically at home, have a flexible schedule, and am available for drop-offs on short notice. Just let me know how I can assist! Your dog will have free range of the living areas, with regular supervised visits to the enclosed backyard, and will be walked at least twice daily or as often as requested.

About: Since May of 2021, my 4 year old son and I have been traveling the US pet-sitting while families are away on vacation. We would love to bring our services to this site and offer you the same! I now have a 1 month old baby boy as well. When we are not traveling, we have been fostering animals with the SPCA, so our experience with care has been consistent! I personally grew up with and caring for cats, dogs, birds, rabbits, fish, and ball pythons. I also spent several summers growing up assisting on farms in my hometown of Minnesota, so I have some light experience with cattle as well. I am a full time college student doing classes online, so I am available to stay at the home full time to care for pets! My son is in school from 8:15am to 3:45pm (sometimes as late as 6pm) Monday through Friday - for sits with pets that don't do well with toddlers these are the times I could sit alone. Other than errands and going to and from my son’s school, I will be fully available to tend to your pet’s needs! I can accommodate any needs or schedules. I would be delighted to take pets on walks or to parks, as I am walking distance to several in Algiers Point. I am also perfectly fine staying in the house and just providing your pet loving attention. My son has been with me for many sits and has done well with all breeds of all animal types of all ages. He is respectful, understands when pets need space, listens to me, does not make messes, and never leaves my sight. For daytime weekday sits he will be at school and not in the home, but I do have a newborn (1 months old) home temporarily until I get him in daycare. *I do not own a car at the time so your pet would need to be dropped off and picked up, unless you happen to be in walking distance :)

“Sophia managed Jackson’s energy well, especially with a dog of her own and another Rover pup in the mix. She was very communicative, especially when Jackson had an issue during the day (he vomited). 10/10 recommend. Thank you, Sophia!”

About: Born and raised in the vibrant city of New Orleans, I've been surrounded by beloved pets since childhood, particularly Labrador retrievers. With a deep-rooted passion for animal conservation, I pursued a career as a veterinary technician. From chameleons to parakeets, my upbringing instilled in me a profound love for all creatures, leading me to become a proud father of two adorable black cats I rescued back home. Throughout college, I've been lending a helping hand to neighbors and family friends, caring for their pets with the same devotion as my own. Now, I'm eager to expand my network of furry friends and offer my services as a reliable Rover dog sitter. Whether it's walks, playdates, or overnight stays, I promise to treat your pet with the utmost care and affection. Currently, I'm helping out with my brother and his dad's delightful lab puppies, teaching them how to potty outside and walk on the leash. If your furry friends ever need socialization or extra companionship, they're always welcome to join in on the fun. Don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or specific requests. I'm incredibly flexible and genuinely adore all animals. I am currently going back to nursing school in January so my schedule is very flexible. I can do overnight stays or bring pets to my apartment, whichever works. My apartment complex has a backyard for free roam and I am close to a dog park as well. I am also directly besides the greenway trail which is nice for long walks. I have a truck and would love to take your dogs to the park or walk along the levee if that is what they like. I have lots of toys, feeding bowls, leashes, treats, and lick mats for dogs and cats.
