“We are so thankful for Jon! He did an INCREDIBLE job watching our pack of 4 poms over our wedding weekend! We have never used Rover before or left our dogs overnight and were pretty nervous. We even got on a call with Jon prior to booking and he was more than willing to answer our millions of questions. He was flexible with drop off and pick up times (we drove into NOLA from STL) and was so patient with my "helicopter parent" husband that wanted to set up their beds himself and was so anxious to leave them. Jon's house is also on a side street that made drop off really easy. We received multiple updates and the cutest photos the whole weekend! Our pack definitely had a great time. They loved the backyard! We have a senior dog with mobility issues that he was very careful with, and another pom with some hearing and vision loss and he was wonderful with both. It was very obvious that Jon loves dogs and took care of our fur babies like they were his own! When we picked the pups up he had everything packed up which was a huge time saver since we were driving back home. He had even ran one of our blankets through the dryer so they would have a warm spot to lay since the weather had gotten cold that morning! It is so difficult to trust someone else with your animals, and we were lucky to find such a caring and thoughtful Rover. “Morgan is my favorite sitter I recommend her to anyone who wants to spoil their pet! I gave her a reasonable list of to-dos to help care for my cat for when i’m away and i’m very type A so I thought i’d feel the need to constantly msg and check up. I was gone for 2.5 weeks and across the world on a 12-14 hour time difference, so I often woke up to her updates without having to msg her while she was there bc I was sleeping. And when I tell you her updates are very thorough, addressing every single thing on the to do list and the ease or challenges she had with each one, with many many many pictures each visit!!! every question I could’ve had was answered, I felt soooo at ease it made my trip so much better knowing I can just move on with my schedule knowing my fur baby is well taken care of. About: I was always the one to take care of our families dogs while growing up, so I have a lot of experience! Smaller dogs, bigger dogs, senior dogs…does not matter to me! I am currently ending an Americorps term so I have all the time in the world to play with your pups! I also always appreciate a daily dose of serotonin :) I always make sure there are clear instructions or specifics provided by the client when watching their pups if necessary! A safe and trustful environment is crucial in this type of work, which is my number one priority. An attentive attitude is also crucial, especially when being in a clients home.

About: I go to Loyola University where I am doing my masters program in counseling. Back home (California) I have a big dog that my family adopted and she’s the sweetest. I’ve had dogs since I was born, so I’m super comfortable around them and know how to be stern if need be. I would walk the dogs around the neighborhood and bring them to parks to play. For in home visits, I will play with the dogs and cats if they want, make sure they do their business, and feed them. I can give belly and head scratches for hours and am able to match their energy. About: I’ve always lived with dogs and cats! Growing up, I was constantly tagged to care for neighbor’s pets while they were out of town. Even now, my friends and their parents know I’m the first one willing to step up and petsit. I have basic experience with leash training young dogs, as well as encouraging stiff seniors to get some exercise. And not to brag, but even the shyest cats tend to warm up to me, but I do know how to read cat body language and give them space when they want it. I work full time during the weekdays, but I’m available most evenings and excited to get out of the house. My weekends are almost always open to spend time with your dog! Pet safety is my top priority. I never walk dogs along busy streets, or where there isn’t enough shoulder to feel safe. I also do not allow my dogs to interact with others on leash, since this can be unpredictable. I’m not afraid to cross the street (safely!) to avoid a meeting.
About: My family has had at least one dog in our house since I was born. Everybody in my family has dogs. I have a few family members that rely on me to help them with their dogs when they need it. Everyone in my family treats their pets like they are humans and I do just the same! I am currently in between jobs so I’m available pretty much whenever. I do have my own dog at home so I prefer to not stay somewhere for a long, extended period of time. I am pretty flexible with that though so just ask me and I’ll let you know if it’s doable! I have a fenced in yard. I have a 14 year old rescue that just mainly stays to herself. There is a 1 year old Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix now living here as well, under the care of someone else that’s not me, however she is very rambunctious with other dogs. I do not mind walking them around the neighborhood. In my family, we treat our dogs like they are humans and they are like our children!

My one dog was nervous and hid before the first walk. Cody spent 30 min gently coaxing her out. After the first walk, all 3 of my animals were comfortable and happy. I will also send you pictures and updates to provide you with peace of mind. I’m patient with shy or cautious animals, attentive to changes in behavior, and happy to adapt to different personalities, ages, and energy levels. About: I’ve had dogs and cats in my life since I was a kid, so caring for animals comes naturally to me. One thing that sets me apart is my experience with senior and younger pets. I cared for my own dog in her later years when she developed back leg problems. I helped her move around the house, made sure she was comfortable, and gave her lots of love and patience every day. I additionally took care of my other dog in her early months waking up multiple times nightly to calm her down. About: I’ve taken care of 2 Belgian Malinois for 5 years where I’ve had to administer medication, train, switch up diet planning, and do basic grooming. I currently own a betta fish and red eared slider turtle due to renting restrictions. I currently work part time at 2 different jobs, however I can make my own schedule at both. I’m also a full time RN student, but we do have summer breaks. My schedule does fluctuate, however I am usually available consistently early mornings and in the evening time every day. My schedule will reflect when I am available. I’ve worked with multiple high maintenance that require lots of activity throughout the day, so my check ins are more in depth with feeding, potty time, and play time. “We are so thankful for Jon! He did an INCREDIBLE job watching our pack of 4 poms over our wedding weekend! We have never used Rover before or left our dogs overnight and were pretty nervous. We even got on a call with Jon prior to booking and he was more than willing to answer our millions of questions. He was flexible with drop off and pick up times (we drove into NOLA from STL) and was so patient with my "helicopter parent" husband that wanted to set up their beds himself and was so anxious to leave them. Jon's house is also on a side street that made drop off really easy. We received multiple updates and the cutest photos the whole weekend! Our pack definitely had a great time. They loved the backyard! We have a senior dog with mobility issues that he was very careful with, and another pom with some hearing and vision loss and he was wonderful with both. It was very obvious that Jon loves dogs and took care of our fur babies like they were his own! When we picked the pups up he had everything packed up which was a huge time saver since we were driving back home. He had even ran one of our blankets through the dryer so they would have a warm spot to lay since the weather had gotten cold that morning! It is so difficult to trust someone else with your animals, and we were lucky to find such a caring and thoughtful Rover. About: I have welcomed dogs into my family for the past 25 years living in New Orleans, and have loved caring for them as they have certainly cared for me too! I work from home most days of the week and am rarely gone for more than a few hours for in-person meetings. I provide lots of walks along the greenway and time in my fenced yard too. I have toys for stimulation such as puzzles and can play hide and seek with toys, treats, and me! I am happy to continue implementing your schedule and use your key words and phrases to maintain training while your pup is with me. I also enjoy taking my dog Conor to City Bark where he plays with other dogs and gets a nice bath. I am happy to bring your dog there too if they are able to go. I work from home and occasionally take meetings out of my house. Those usually are not more than a few hours. Once a week I go into my office from 8-4 but come home at lunch to walk my dog Conor. I have three boys that are in school who live with me every other week. I do a school drop off and pick up every other week for one of them around 7:15 am and again around 3:00 pm. I keep my dog on a predictable schedule of feeding and walks and provide toys for stimulation. I always keep fresh water available both inside and outside so that they are not dehydrated.
