Pet care experience

Experienced, Loving Pet Care! 🐾

Hi, I’m Lynda and I’m paws-itively thrilled to meet you and your fur family! I recently moved to New Orleans from NYC and have brought years of both professional and personal animal care experience with me. I’ve had the privilege of working full-time with the ASPCA over the last 5 years, where I built a strong skills in compassionate, reliable, and knowledgeable animal care and handling. From managing daily routines to supporting pets with medical and behavioral needs, I’ve seen (and loved) it all. In 2024, I adopted m6 senior dog, Cassatt, from the ASPCA. He has arthritis, hypothyroidism, and diabetes insipidus. He requires daily medications that keeps these diseases well managed. And I have a senior cat, Noah, who I’ve had for 20 years! Both are friendly and hospitable host to any visiting four legged friends. I offer flexible, tailored care including walks, check-ins, feedings, playdates, and overnights. Whether your pet thrives on high-energy adventures or prefers cozy snuggles at home, I’ll meet them where they are and keep their routines consistent and stress-free. For everyone’s safety and peace of mind, I do require a quick phone call before confirming bookings, and I kindly ask for up to an hour to respond. You’re also welcome to browse my 5-star reviews from NYC families who trusted me with their four-legged loved ones. Thank you for considering me to be part of your pet’s world as I start this new chapter in New Orleans. I can’t wait to meet your furry family member and make their tail wag (or purr) with happiness!

Dog Walking • Apr 03, 2026

Needed someone to walk my dog for a few days while I was out of town. Dog seemed as happy as he gets when I'm out of town. Received nice photos.

Lynda is excellent! She is super communicative and Roxy loves her! It was great to know our pup was in good hands while we were out and we really appreciated the photo and video updates. We’ll absolutely reach out to Lynda again next time we have a need for care.

Lynda was wonderful with Tessa! She stepped in on short notice when I was in a bind due to travel delays and handled everything with ease. She was incredibly sweet and attentive, making sure Tessa was well cared for. I’m so grateful for her help!

Lynda is very personable and knowledgeable about dogs and their behavior, and brings a real sensitivity to each dog she works with. My sometimes nervous dog Clover was immediately comfortable with her. I’m grateful to have someone so skilled and thoughtful care for my dog when I can’t be there!

Lynda and her partner, Lexi, did a tremendous job with our senior cat, Jamie! We were nervous to leave him alone for several days but Lynda provided us with consistent updates and went above and beyond with brushing Jamie, cleaning his paws, and taking him outside. Our apartment was also spotless when I arrived home. Definitely recommend!

Safety, trust & environment

I live on one side of a cozy shotgun house with my two senior companions — a gentle elderly cat and a sweet senior dog — so any furry guests will need to be cat-friendly. Our home comes with a yard, perfect for fresh-air breaks and safe playtime, and I’m happy to host dogs of all sizes. Senior or arthritic pups are especially welcome here, as the space is no-stairs, quiet, and filled with lots of gentle care. When caring for pets in clients’ homes, I make sure to follow all instructions carefully and always ask for written directions to maintain your pet’s routine as closely as possible. I also leave your home just as I found it — tidying up after visits, scooping or changing litter, and cleaning up any little messes left behind by enthusiastic eaters or playful paws. Thank you for your trust and consideration. I look forward to connecting with you and your fur family soon!

Pets

A typical day

Depending on your pet’s activity level and needs, we’ll enjoy a nice walk around the neighborhood or spend time with cuddles and play if your cat prefers indoor fun. You can expect end-of-service updates and plenty of photos — I believe strong, open communication with pet parents is key to providing the best care. Please note: I never walk dogs from different households together. I only walk pets from the same family to ensure safety, comfort, and individual attention.

Important things to know: Before caring for your pet, I like to be aware of any important details that will help me provide the best and safest care. This includes preferred treats, health history, behavior notes (such as bite history, mouthing, leash-grabbing, stranger danger, or dog reactivity), and any “pet-peeves” like loud noises, skateboards, or other sensitivities. The more I know about your pet’s needs and quirks, the better I can tailor their care and keep them happy and comfortable! Please note: I also kindly request a meet-and-greet with dogs before confirming any bookings, to ensure we’re a good match. Sitting rates may vary for pups who require 24/7 care or have significant separation anxiety, but I’m always happy to discuss and work together to find a plan that feels fair and comfortable for everyone.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
