“Robin was more than AMAZING !!!!! she spoiled my babies with walks and snuggles and lots and lots of love !!!!! I got countless updates and pictures and videos !!! She was just all around amazing . Will be using her forever and ever !!!!!”

“Kenneth watched my dog nova for a day and overnight when I went to a Mardi Gras parade and I can’t be more pleased. First off it was last minute and during Mardi Gras nonetheless so it was very challenging to find someone, Kenneth made it easy and responded to my request almost immediately. I was able to drop nova off and felt like I left her in good hands. Kenneth sent me lots of videos and photos during his time with nova which was also super appreciated. And finally when I was an hour late picking her up because I lost my keys and had to wait on a locksmith, he didn’t mind. Overall if I could give 6 stars I would and if I need a dog sitter in New Orleans again I know who to ask. Thanks so much Kenneth!”

“Serena was incredible. She was very responsive, flexible to some of my last minute schedule changes, and really sweet with my dogs. I have zero complaints and would absolutely recommend her!”

About: I’ve been caring for animals my whole life, starting from rescuing strays as a kid. I have years of hands on experience with dogs of all ages, including my own senior pup who was named Cici. She needed medication around the clock and caring for her taught me patience, gentle handling, and how to follow a strict care routine. I’m comfortable giving meds, understanding special needs, and making sure pets feel loved, safe, and understood. I would love to hang out with your fur babies and give them some extra loving! I am currently not working so I have all the time in the world to take care of your pets! Every day will be a party and I’d love to have some company! In my home, pets will have a safe, clean and comfortable space with plenty of attention, playtime and plenty of snuggles. While I don’t have a fenced yard, I will make sure they get regular leashed walks, potty breaks, and supervised outdoor time. I will stick to their usual feeding schedule, keep fresh water available at all times and follow any medication or special care routines exactly.
“My Brûlée had a wonderful experience with Lindsey! She had plenty of walks and fun with Lindsey’s daughter. I could tell she was a happy puppy when I picked her up! I definitely will be needing her to visit again!”

“WOW! What a great stay my maizy had! The pictures I got I will save for a lifetime. Filled with so many activates and great communication the entire time. I would highly recommend!!”

“Sarah was beyond accommodating. My dog is very strong and is aggressive with other dogs. She separated her dog from ours and stayed in the room with him so he wouldn’t get lonely in a new environment. She monitored his food and water intake, and sent us twice daily reports. She set the bar so high we probably will never use another sitter again. We are spoiled just like our dog was. When we tried to leave, he tried to follow her back to her apartment.”

“Jon took amazing care of my dog! Sent videos and picture updates. Gave me a tour of his house and yard so I knew my dog would be comfortable. Can’t recommend Jon enough”

“Having to leave Woody for a week while traveling for my son‘s wedding was something I dreaded. Katherine made it unexpectedly dreamy, though!! The messages and videos she sent were so very reassuring. I could easily see that Woody was well cared for and had a blast!”

“Wonderful stay for T, with the loveliest family, I felt completely at ease with him being under their care. Great setup and her pup, is the kindest gentlest pup. I couldn’t have asked for a better situation for T. 💕”

“Blake was amazing. She was available to take Luna last minute and Luna took to her really well. She was also really conveniently close to home about 4 mins from the house. Would definitely book again and recommend”

“Recently, I boarded my Golden Doodle and Dachshund with Juliana, and I was thoroughly impressed with the experience. Juliana was attentive, professional, and provided daily updates on my pets’ well-being. I highly recommend Juliana for anyone seeking safe, reliable pet boarding services.”

“Aja is an all-star sitter. She sent me twice daily updates and photos so I always knew that Phoebe was having fun with her pups and getting lots of loving care. Very communicative and thorough. I will definitely be working with Aja again.”

“Christine made my baby’s first sitting experience so easy! She was very attentive to his specific needs and kept me informed throughout the entire visit. I met with her before the planned visit to ensure my baby would be a good fit for her and her family (very important). I definitely will rebook another visit with her!”

“Maria was absolutely amazing with Simba. She kept me informed about his activities and how he was doing. When she noticed Simba wasnt eating she let me know and she tried different methods to try to get him to eat. Simba and her dog Reina played very well together. I will definitely be a repeat customer. She and her family were extremely nice.”

“I needed a last minute sitter for my kitten Queso. Joseph without hesitation assisted on taking care of my cat and even accommodated his home to fit my kittens needs. He’s very knowledgeable with animals and his home feels like a second family. Highly recommend him for your loved animal.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in LA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
