About: I've had pets my entire life. I'm retired now and travel extensively for part of the year, so I'm unable to have pets of my own and thought this would be a great way to keep busy while I am in town. I have a doggy door and a large, gated backyard for games of fetch or hide and seek. I will provide a safe, loving home while you are away or drop-in if you so choose. When I'm in NOLA, I often work part-time from home. I'm retired so you could call me a homebody, and I'm often found working in my garden. In the fourth quarter of the year, I do travel until thanksgiving but will keep my calendar here updated. I am relatively flexible with scheduling. My son recently moved and took his Boston Terrier with him, so there are no longer any pets in my home. I have a large, fenced yard perfect for games of hide-and-seek or fetch, and I'm often in the back as well working on my garden. I do not have any plants that would present a danger. I love to take long, daily walks on the levee, which is only two blocks away...and would love to bring your pet along! I often have family visit, who also love pets.

About: I've had dogs most of my adult life. I had 6 at one time and now have 2 Chihuahuas who I adore. I love all pets and want to be your pups best friend. I am retired so I have a lot of free time. I have experience with small puppies who are still being trained to pets that have special needs. I able to provide care such as feeding, walking, playing, cuddling and cleaning as necessary. My goal is to treat your pet as if they were my own so that you feel completely secure while they are away and in my care. I currently work full time but I am to adjust my schedule as needed as I make my own schedule. I am available every weekend. I have a fenced in yard that is maintained weekly. Before any booking I would like a detailed description of temperament of pet and they schedule as far as eating, feeding, walks, etc. Providing care at an individual’s home I would like that same so that I am able to provide the same care your pet is use to receiving. My goal is to provide a seamless and very loving experience for your pet.

About: I lost my own dog, Maika, a few years ago. She was 14 years old but it was way too early … I’m not ready to get a new dog myself, so Rover has been perfect. I moved to New Orleans a few years ago from Minnesota, where I was also an active member of Rover. My partner, Jonathan, and I bought a house that was built in 1909 — originally as an outdoor market in Holy Cross. It’s now a huge open space attached to a large fenced in yard. Dogs love it!. The dogs hang with me and I usually leave the door open to the back yard, which is basically a mini park with several fruit trrees. The neighborhood itself is also wonderful, there’s a large open field that is fenced in, I a great place for playing fetch or chasing frisbees. The levee is also perfect for long morning or evening walks. I''m a writer and work from home, so having a pup or two around is a real pleasure. I often take the dogs on walks or runs along the levee. But there’s also plenty of space in the house in yard if they just want to chill at home. Usually I work and puddle about doing arts and crafts and doggy's tag behind. The yard has both sunny spots and nice shade… Perfect for the pups.

About: Ive always loved taking care of all different animals! I have about 8 years of experience with animal care allowing me to perform a variety of tasks including administering medication (pills and ointments) and caring for injured and elderly animals. While housesitting I have had the opportunity to take care of vegetable gardens and even small scale farms in houses across the country. I am currently staying in Connecticut through the fall as my partner works remotely in his grandmothers house. I have full flexibility, tons of experience, and would love to help out in anyway I can! I have a big fenced yard that is perfect for throwing the ball around in or playing tug of war. I love going on walks around the neighborhood, across the levee or through the parks.I really would like to adopt a dog but have not wanted to commit to one as I don’t not know where my life will lead me in the next 5 years…however dog sitting gives me the opportunity to spend time and care for dogs as if they were my own!

About: I started my animal care experience working for the Audubon Science and Nature center in animal husbandry by caring for native and exotic animals, birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians in outreach and environmental education! My husband and I cared for wild, rehabilated, exotic, domestic and farm animals throughout our careers. My husband has worked in a stable and farm and has experience with horses, goats, pigs, chickens ect. Both working part-time and mostly from home we will love your baby whether it's got fur, feathers ,hooves, scales or semiporous skin! ;-) My husband and I have a flexible schedule working part time and seasonally, with most hours I can set for myself and also often I am able to work from home. Your baby can play with my pets or have the place to themselves if that suits their demeanor.
“Ayanna was such a wonderful person to have walk our dogs while my mom was away. One of our dogs takes a little time to warm up to people but after a day when she realized Ayanna was there to help her, she gladly joined her sister in their daily walks. It was great knowing they were in good hands! Thanks you, Ayanna!”

About: I’ve had dogs and cats in my life since I was a kid, so caring for animals comes naturally to me. One thing that sets me apart is my experience with senior and younger pets.
