“Michael is very kind, thoughtful, helpful, and responsive. He's very loving to my dogs, and Leila went up to him to have him pick her up. It was sweet. I recommend Michael!”
“My dogs were spoiled during my time away! I received daily updates and pictures/videos to prove they had a great time! Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

“Okay, where do I start with Jessica. Jessica is an Angel 😇 in my opinion with dogs. Jessica was magnificent in communicating with me throughout Gem stay. I felt a side of relief throughout my mini vacation for two days. Thank you so much and I look forward 😊 trusting you in the near future. Finally, thank-you for the snacks 😋( Gemini). I think you spoil her to much. 10 stars really. 🌟”

“Blair was fantastic. She was extremely responsive and very easy to schedule pick up/drop off. She has a pup of her own that got along great with my dog. I will definitely be booking her again.”

“Elena has watched our Italian Greyhound several times in her home, most recently for 6 weeks while we were abroad. She took fantastic care of our dog, and we felt completely confident that our sweet girl was in responsible, caring hands. Elena sent us pictures and updates regularly, and in general she is extremely accessible and responsive. She is now our go to sitter whenever we leave town, and it's so comforting to know that she'll take excellent care of our dog while we're gone. Elena is terrific - highly recommend!”

“Iryna is fantastic. I could tell immediately that she and her family love animals. Her pup was super sweet when we arrived, so that was a bonus. This was our first time booking with Iryna, which I can find a little stressful. I had nothing to worry about bc she put me at ease immediately. She had great communication throughout the entire stay and kept us updated with plenty of pictures. She noticed a wound on our pup that we weren’t aware of, cleaned and treated it, and let us know right away. We also had a last minute medication request for a separate issue, and she was incredibly accommodating without hesitation. It was clear that she cared for our guy like he was her own. We would absolutely book with Iryna again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, attentive, and reliable sitter. - Diana (and Roy)”

“Our three dogs had a wonderful time with Whitney. There is plenty of space for them to be comfortable and a huge yard to roam around. Whitney sent updates on them and they were safe and happy. Will definitely trust Whitney again, if needed.”

“This was my first time leaving my baby alone with someone and Brittany was the perfect sitter! She treated Soulja like family, checked on him constantly and made sure to keep me posted with updates. I can’t wait for him to go over again.”

“Rachel and Michael were wonderful! They took care of Missy over the holidays and clearly gave her a lot of love! They send sweet pictures and or videos daily. They were extremely responsive and reliable. They set up Missy for success by scheduling a meet and greet for our pups before the boarding period. They were also super flexible. My flight back to the city was canceled and I last minute needed an extra day of care for Missy and they accommodated this last minute change which was very kind. Overall, I felt relaxed and reassured in my travels knowing Missy was being cared for by Rachel and Michael!”

“Kenneth was amazing to work with. Really easy to communicate and coordinate and provided frequent updates on how Gorda was doing. I could tell he took really good care of her and that she had a great time there.”

“Our dogs were treated like family during their stay. Danielle’s home is clean and pet friendly. She sent updates with photos and they came home just as happy as when they left. Definitely recommend Danielle to other dog moms.”

“Jas was PHENOMENAL with caring for our Frenchie while we were away! From the moment we met her, our dog was comfortable and so were we. She sent pics and videos and gave us training tips when we picked him up. We will definitely be using her again for all future boarding needs! Highly recommend her for your smaller dogs.”

About: Mine was a dog family. My parents showed Chow Chows and Bichon Frisés at dog shows around the country with me in tow as a junior handler grooming, training, and caring for our dogs. In college, rather than wait tables, I worked as a kennel assistant and then as a veterinarian assistant during post-grad, spending weekends caring for medical boarders, administering meds and keeping lonely, isolated dogs company. I’m a deeply attached and passionate rescue advocate and animal-lover. My pets have all been mostly large, lovable mixed-breed dogs and second-chance stories like Betsey. Professionally, I have 20+ years of experience as a copywriter and creative strategist. Before starting Betsey & Julie Walk Dogs, I spent the past year as a Dog Handler at Pawlins Day Care — under the tutelage of all kinds of dogs. I’m a freelance writer and I work from home. I share this home with Betsey, an incredibly sweet five-year-old Labrador Retriever. I’m available and actively involved in your dog’s enrichment and overall experience. I’m active and attentive. Betsey and I are affectionate and accommodating. We love walks, parks, toys, treats, and cuddling. We think your dog will love spending time with us.
About: Hi! I’ve had dogs my entire life and they’ve always been at the center of my world. My most recent pup, Effy, was with me for 15 years — she was truly the love of my life. While I’m not quite ready to have a dog of my own again, I couldn’t imagine my life without them, which is why I’m so excited to be here on Rover! Your pet will be loved and cared for like my own. I can’t wait to meet them I work from home Monday–Friday, so your pet will have my full attention throughout the day — no long stretches alone. I am able to work remotely so care during the day is no issue. I live in an apartment in Meraux above my dad’s office, so while there’s no yard, we have plenty of space to get outside for walks. There are stairs, but I’m happy to carry pets up and down as needed.
The median cost per night for dog boarding in Meraux is $40
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Meraux
After a past nightmare experience with a daycare left my dog with vocal cord damage, I was terrified to leave him with anyone for Labor Day weekend. Booking Dez on Rover was the best decision I could have made! She picked him up from my hotel, put my mind at ease by sharing her address, and sent video updates almost instantly every time I checked in. When she dropped him off, he bounced out of the car happy, healthy, and tail wagging. Dez took incredible care of him, and she is officially my go-to sitter anytime I visit New Orleans!

Many sitters in LA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
