About: Mine was a dog family. My parents showed Chow Chows and Bichon Frisés at dog shows around the country with me in tow as a junior handler grooming, training, and caring for our dogs. In college, rather than wait tables, I worked as a kennel assistant and then as a veterinarian assistant during post-grad, spending weekends caring for medical boarders, administering meds and keeping lonely, isolated dogs company. I’m a deeply attached and passionate rescue advocate and animal-lover. My pets have all been mostly large, lovable mixed-breed dogs and second-chance stories like Betsey. Professionally, I have 20+ years of experience as a copywriter and creative strategist. Before starting Betsey & Julie Walk Dogs, I spent the past year as a Dog Handler at Pawlins Day Care — under the tutelage of all kinds of dogs. I’m a freelance writer and I work from home. I share this home with Betsey, an incredibly sweet five-year-old Labrador Retriever. I’m available and actively involved in your dog’s enrichment and overall experience. I’m active and attentive. Betsey and I are affectionate and accommodating. We love walks, parks, toys, treats, and cuddling. We think your dog will love spending time with us.

About: I have have been caring of all types of animals since I was 7+ years old. I have taken care of new born puppies, kittens, raccoons and reptiles of all types throughout my life and I love it!! If I could cuddle a gator I would!!! I have also done whelping services for many family members. I have done a lot of fostering and bottle feeding both puppies and kittens. I’m currently working only for Rover. So I can dedicate all my time to your fur baby and his/her needs and the loving care and schedule you want for them. However I am instructed to. I am there to make you and your pet comfortable while away. It can be stressful for pet and pet parents when they are not together. I try to keep your pets schedule as similar to what they are used to with you. Feeding/ walking/ playing/ sleeping/ waking up will all be as close to their normal schedule as possible. Their comfort is my first priority.

About: I am caring, reliable, and patient. Especially with the small pups. I love giving them attention. I love playing with them and making them feel safe, comfortable and loved. Currently, I’m a college student. I can’t do Mondays from 2 to 5 but other than that I can do any day at any time I’d rather stay away from nighttime services for my safety. I have a fenced yard so plenty of room for them to play. I am a retired pup owner, so I would suggest you bring food and toys, but I will take care of them with all love and care and have fun!

About: I've had pets my entire life. I'm retired now and travel extensively for part of the year, so I'm unable to have pets of my own and thought this would be a great way to keep busy while I am in town. I have a doggy door and a large, gated backyard for games of fetch or hide and seek. I will provide a safe, loving home while you are away or drop-in if you so choose. When I'm in NOLA, I often work part-time from home. I'm retired so you could call me a homebody, and I'm often found working in my garden. In the fourth quarter of the year, I do travel until thanksgiving but will keep my calendar here updated. I am relatively flexible with scheduling. My son recently moved and took his Boston Terrier with him, so there are no longer any pets in my home. I have a large, fenced yard perfect for games of hide-and-seek or fetch, and I'm often in the back as well working on my garden. I do not have any plants that would present a danger. I love to take long, daily walks on the levee, which is only two blocks away...and would love to bring your pet along! I often have family visit, who also love pets.

About: What sets me apart is that I don’t simply “check in” on your fur babies; I genuinely enjoy spending time with them and getting to know their individual personalities, routines, and needs. I have years of experience caring for both dogs and cats, including regular and extended care while their families travel. For the past six years, I’ve been consistently trusted to care for pets when Dad and Mom go away on frequent trips, including stays of more than 30 days. (I’m a Virgo, so I know meticulous details. 😂) I’d much rather know every little detail so I can keep their world as familiar and comfortable as possible while you’re away. I will also send you pictures and updates to provide you with peace of mind. I’m patient with shy or cautious animals, attentive to changes in behavior, and happy to adapt to different personalities, ages, and energy levels. Whether your baby needs long walks and playtime, is a workout nut (to keep me in shape, too 😂), needs extra attention, wants a cuddle buddy, or needs someone who understands that affection happens strictly on THEIR terms, I’ll follow their lead. Most importantly, I understand that you’re trusting me with a member of your family and, often, your home as well. I take that responsibility seriously. My goal is for you to enjoy your time away knowing your babies are safe, your home is safe, and your babies are comfortable, loved, and having a pretty great time with their favorite auntie, while you take care of whatever needs your attention, without having to stress about what’s happening back at home. 🐾❤️ I have a very flexible schedule, so I’m able to easily incorporate pet care into my daily and weekly routine. Whether your baby needs early morning or evening walks, scheduled feedings, medication at specific times, regular check-ins, playtime, or simply someone around to keep them company, I can adjust my schedule around their needs. I’m also available for overnight and extended stays in your home, which allows your pets to remain comfortable in their own environment and maintain the routine they’re already used to. About: Hi Guys and welcome ! I’m an animal control officer, you can trust me because you can find me lol! To protect animals and promote responsible pet ownership is my job. I’ve been helping our community and saving the lives of animals for about 6 years now. Being an experienced animal control officer has given me skills, knowledge, compassion and understanding for not just our pets but also our pet owners. During my time as an officer I have taken care of so many animals from fostering them through my shelter or pet sitting through family , friends and clients. I have taken care of all age ranges of dogs and cats. I’ve given daily medication to pets as needed and I also have experience with rehabilitating animals. I could train your pet to respond to basic commands or become potty trained. I work full time, but as an Animal Control officer I patrol the streets and respond to calls which allows me to be super flexible to take care of your pet. I care for pets in the client’s home making sure to resemble the same routine as their original pet owner. I will literally love and care for your pet as if it were my own. About: I’ve worked in the pet industry for several years now. I am a manager at a doggy daycare/boarding facility/grooming salon. I am knowledgeable about doggy behavior and body language. I can administer medication, with the exception of epidermal/needle syringes. I love being around dogs and getting to know their quirks and personalities. I’d be honored to take care of your pups! I am currently working full time and am available usually betweem 11am and noon on my lunch break. I am usually off of work by 2pm. I am able to host pets at my home as long as they do not have extreme cat aggression. Regardless I will limit interactions between your pet and my cat. When watching your pets at your home, I will make sure to keep my eyes and attention on them, and keep a look out for hazards.

About: I’ve been taking care of my animals and others’ animals from a young age. I have a range of experience- with puppies and kittens, administering medication, unique personalities, special needs, and more. Whether its a high energy dog or a nervous and shy cat or anything in between, I have seen it all! I am flexible and willing to help in any way I can! Currently not boarding at the moment since I am moving into a new space soon. I can go home for lunch during the week and am free all evenings and weekends. Since I am in the process of moving to a new space, I am not boarding at the moment. I am usually available for boarding on weeknights after 4p and full days on the weekends. Your pet is my priority whether I am at your place or mine. When staying at your place, I will always try to leave it neater than when I came across it. Whether its replacing batteries in your ring camera or letting the service man come in, I am available to help you in anyway you need when something unexpected occurs while you're out. Any animals staying at my home are made to feel comfortable and safe; my home becomes their home!

About: I’ve taken care my dogs my who life. They were always played with, well feed, taken on walks, and groomed to perfection. I love taking care and spending time with animals. I’m available some weekends before 3pm and during the week days I am in school so I have more free time on my hands from working. I have had dogs and cats in my life. My last pet was a female Siamese Cat her name was Nala and I had dog named Bacchus years before her and some one stole them both. But, they stayed with shot updates, vet updates, toys, stocked on food, treats, clothes, love and much entertainment from me. I also believe outside time is very important, it gives them a sense of calmness.

About: I’ve had plenty of experiences with both dogs and cats over the years. From feeding medications, to daily walking, to taking care of my own dog, I’ve always had a genuine heart for animals. I’m currently flexible, I am an ultrasound student at the university, looking for part-time side gigs for furry ones! I can usually make any time work with a 1-2 day notice. About: I’ve had dogs and cats in my life since I was a kid, so caring for animals comes naturally to me. One thing that sets me apart is my experience with senior and younger pets. I cared for my own dog in her later years when she developed back leg problems. I helped her move around the house, made sure she was comfortable, and gave her lots of love and patience every day. I additionally took care of my other dog in her early months waking up multiple times nightly to calm her down. Whether it’s a high-energy puppy or a senior pet needing extra care, I’m confident in handling all kinds of needs.
