“We are so thankful for Jon! He did an INCREDIBLE job watching our pack of 4 poms over our wedding weekend! We have never used Rover before or left our dogs overnight and were pretty nervous. We even got on a call with Jon prior to booking and he was more than willing to answer our millions of questions. He was flexible with drop off and pick up times (we drove into NOLA from STL) and was so patient with my "helicopter parent" husband that wanted to set up their beds himself and was so anxious to leave them. Jon's house is also on a side street that made drop off really easy. We received multiple updates and the cutest photos the whole weekend! Our pack definitely had a great time. They loved the backyard! We have a senior dog with mobility issues that he was very careful with, and another pom with some hearing and vision loss and he was wonderful with both. It was very obvious that Jon loves dogs and took care of our fur babies like they were his own! When we picked the pups up he had everything packed up which was a huge time saver since we were driving back home. He had even ran one of our blankets through the dryer so they would have a warm spot to lay since the weather had gotten cold that morning! It is so difficult to trust someone else with your animals, and we were lucky to find such a caring and thoughtful Rover. They hate being alone and I don't think they had a moment unattended in the 5 days they spent with Lindsey. About: I've had pets my entire life. I'm retired now and travel extensively for part of the year, so I'm unable to have pets of my own and thought this would be a great way to keep busy while I am in town. I have a doggy door and a large, gated backyard for games of fetch or hide and seek. I will provide a safe, loving home while you are away or drop-in if you so choose. When I'm in NOLA, I often work part-time from home. I'm retired so you could call me a homebody, and I'm often found working in my garden. In the fourth quarter of the year, I do travel until thanksgiving but will keep my calendar here updated. I am relatively flexible with scheduling. My son recently moved and took his Boston Terrier with him, so there are no longer any pets in my home. I have a large, fenced yard perfect for games of hide-and-seek or fetch, and I'm often in the back as well working on my garden. I do not have any plants that would present a danger. About: I've had cats and other small animals since I was 2! I had a dog for all of my childhood and I was her primary care taker. I've been pet sitting for friends and family for many years! “Iryna is fantastic. I could tell immediately that she and her family love animals. Her pup was super sweet when we arrived, so that was a bonus. This was our first time booking with Iryna, which I can find a little stressful. I had nothing to worry about bc she put me at ease immediately. She had great communication throughout the entire stay and kept us updated with plenty of pictures. She noticed a wound on our pup that we weren’t aware of, cleaned and treated it, and let us know right away. We also had a last minute medication request for a separate issue, and she was incredibly accommodating without hesitation. It was clear that she cared for our guy like he was her own. “We are so thankful for Jon! He did an INCREDIBLE job watching our pack of 4 poms over our wedding weekend! We have never used Rover before or left our dogs overnight and were pretty nervous. We even got on a call with Jon prior to booking and he was more than willing to answer our millions of questions. He was flexible with drop off and pick up times (we drove into NOLA from STL) and was so patient with my "helicopter parent" husband that wanted to set up their beds himself and was so anxious to leave them. Jon's house is also on a side street that made drop off really easy. We received multiple updates and the cutest photos the whole weekend! Our pack definitely had a great time. They loved the backyard! We have a senior dog with mobility issues that he was very careful with, and another pom with some hearing and vision loss and he was wonderful with both. It was very obvious that Jon loves dogs and took care of our fur babies like they were his own! When we picked the pups up he had everything packed up which was a huge time saver since we were driving back home. He had even ran one of our blankets through the dryer so they would have a warm spot to lay since the weather had gotten cold that morning! It is so difficult to trust someone else with your animals, and we were lucky to find such a caring and thoughtful Rover.
