I love getting to know each animal's unique personality. I am available many days of the week to take care of your babies while you are away at work. I love sending updates to pet parents through out the day so that they can see what their babies have been up to. I also have an older dog with special needs, so I am understanding of pets with disabilities or medical needs, and I know how scary it can be to leave your pets with someone new. I am available to take dogs on plenty of walks through out the day to ensure that they are getting the exercise and attention they need. About: After a tragically pet-free childhood, I've spent the last 20 years seeking out any opportunity to care for animals—from free dog walking for friends and cat-sitting for vacationing pals to hiking with hounds and being a designated vet chauffeur. I love exploring the outdoors with a dog, chucking sticks across empty fields, and praising them for every "good stretch"! I do everything I can to make pet parents feel comfortable and assured when they leave their furry friends in my care—including plenty of photos and updates! I work from home as a writer/editor and a live-edge woodworker, so my schedule is entirely flexible and under my control. I have a fenced-in backyard with ample shade where I often write and work, so outside time is always available for the animals I care for. I love walking the city and wandering through green spaces, especially Audubon Park and City Park, and having a puppy pal to accompany me makes it even more enjoyable. My interior home space is approximately 1,800 square feet, with multiple couches and rooms and sunspots for dogs and/or cats to relax and lounge. The fenced-in backyard is well-secured with a 6-foot fence for stress-free bathroom breaks, and my active lifestyle takes me on at least 2 longer walks each day, typically in the morning and evening. At a client's home, I pride myself on being highly adaptable to new routines and expectations, and my career as an editor makes me very attentive to details, e.g., medication needs, feeding times, sleep schedules, walk durations, etc. Whether you need someone to pop in and play with your pooch for an hour, or leave your animal at my home for a longer trip, you can rest assured they will be cared for, loved and pampered in a safe and comfortable environment.

About: I've owned and fostered feral cats for decades! Loved every neighborhood dog and adopted my own lab rescue a decade ago. Currently dog-less, I am missing our daily runs and walks in parks and neighborhoods all over town. About: Hello! I’be been a pet lover for several years. I have a loving 2yr old Shih Tzu that enjoys company and loves to play! We take daily walks in the neighborhood and to the park. I'm retired now and travel extensively for part of the year, so I'm unable to have pets of my own and thought this would be a great way to keep busy while I am in town. About: Greetings, y’all! My name is Ashley, and I’m a public health graduate student. I am originally from the east coast (Maryland, New Jersey, Philly, NYC), and I’m a recent transplant from the southwest (Austin, TX). I’m currently working remotely and attending my Master of Public Health classes online so I have open availability to care for your pets while you’re away. I want to house and pet sit because we love to help people, their pet family members and their plants. I have my own “doghter” named Zoë, a 9-year-old black Lab that I rescued at 8 weeks old.
