About: I've had pets my entire life. I'm retired now and travel extensively for part of the year, so I'm unable to have pets of my own and thought this would be a great way to keep busy while I am in town. I have a doggy door and a large, gated backyard for games of fetch or hide and seek. I will provide a safe, loving home while you are away or drop-in if you so choose. When I'm in NOLA, I often work part-time from home. I'm retired so you could call me a homebody, and I'm often found working in my garden. In the fourth quarter of the year, I do travel until thanksgiving but will keep my calendar here updated. I am relatively flexible with scheduling. My son recently moved and took his Boston Terrier with him, so there are no longer any pets in my home. I have a large, fenced yard perfect for games of hide-and-seek or fetch, and I'm often in the back as well working on my garden. I do not have any plants that would present a danger. I love to take long, daily walks on the levee, which is only two blocks away...and would love to bring your pet along! I often have family visit, who also love pets.

About: I’ve taken care my dogs my who life. They were always played with, well feed, taken on walks, and groomed to perfection. I love taking care and spending time with animals. I’m available some weekends before 3pm and during the week days I am in school so I have more free time on my hands from working. I have had dogs and cats in my life. My last pet was a female Siamese Cat her name was Nala and I had dog named Bacchus years before her and some one stole them both. But, they stayed with shot updates, vet updates, toys, stocked on food, treats, clothes, love and much entertainment from me. I also believe outside time is very important, it gives them a sense of calmness.
About: I adopted my traveling friend's cat, Zara, for a year and a half before my friend moved back home during lockdown. Zara and I moved a few times in New Orleans, but she adjusted to our home perfectly once we were settled. She snuggled me everyday and was patient with me while I worked in the service industry. I have also cared for ducks, chickens, two older pigs, and a parrot while one of my friends left the city (New Orleans) for her birthday vacation. During this same week, I cared for my disabled friend's blind cat, shrimp tank, goldfish, and two neighborhood cats she tends to. Even though these friends lived on opposite parts of the city, I split my time snuggling with the furry pets and attended to all pets who had medication or special needs. My love for animals has expanded to animals I never thought I'd get to love on! I hope you can welcome me as your pet caretaker while you are away from home. About: Ive pet sit since I was 14, both paid and unpaid, and I love it! I have experience with difficult dogs/cats (multiple high energy pups in one home) and a moody pet does not scare me off. Currently, 30 hours, of my week (~5hrs a day) is spent at my job at a cafe. Outside of that I can fit your fur baby into my schedule before or after work or on my off days! About: I am a huge animal lover and advocate for all fur babies. I currently own four pets ( two cats and two dogs). I volunteer at the shelter and give back to the community. I have pet sat for my friends and families dogs and only recently decided to do this as a side gig. If you were to ask any of my friends and family, one of the main things they would describe about me is my love and care for animals. I go above and beyond. Just last year I picked up four lost dogs and reunited them with their owners. I also helped to TNR the kitties in my neighborhood and now have 3 permanent porch kitties 😂. You will never have to question if your pets are in good hands. I am also familiar with medium to large dogs and reactive dogs. My two dogs are reactive and I have learned a lot over the last 8-9 years. I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I can take your dog for walks or potty breaks throughout the week and even more flexible during the weekends. About: I've taken care of dogs for family and friends for weekends and overnight stays when they went out town. I've walked , fed, played, and bathed them when needed. Mostly big dogs and cats but I am comfortable with small dogs as well :) I work remote so I am available all day to watch your fur children :) I am flexible with my schedule as long as I know in advance I am needed . About: I used to work in a veterinarian hospital and also have always had pets of my own. Caring for animals has always been something I love. Transporting your animals to and from the island can be very difficult so I am more than happy to make accommodations whether that be in my home or yours. I work on our family farm from 7am to around 2pm. I am fully committed to making my schedule work around your animal’s schedules to provide the best care to them and keep them comfortable. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
