About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and they’ve always been my favorite kind of company. I’m patient and keep things calm and low-key. I only watch one dog at a time, so you can rest assured that I will treat your dog as if they were my own. Since I work remotely, your dog won’t be left alone much and will get attention throughout the day. I make sure to follow whatever routine helps your dog feel most comfortable. Happy to send you photos and updates throughout the day as well. I’m flexible with pickup and drop off times. I will be with your pup all day, and they’ll get plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m happy to adapt to your pet’s routine. If they’re a high energy dog, they’ll get long walks. If they’re a senior or low energy, I’ll take them on shorter walks or just let them sniff in the yard.

I recently moved to the area with my senior dog and two cats and was in need of a sitter for a short trip. Caitlin had great reviews, and we spoke and met - she has a gentle, calming presence which I liked and sensed would benefit my pets in this new environment. I was right - based on her frequent communication and pictures they took to her right away! All this was great, but I was most impressed and grateful for her attentiveness and concern - the first day of my trip she contacted me regarding an unusual development with my dog - it turned out she had developed a hot spot! The early detection allowed for easy treatment (those things can get nasty quickly) which Caitlin was willing to undertake. I highly recommend Caitlin and will be using her in the future.

Emily was the best pet-sitter we have ever had! She was caring, responsible, and had great communication. We received lots of pictures of our fur babies, and she checked in often, putting our minds at ease. We came home to very happy animals and our home was cleaner than how we left it. We will definitely be asking Emily to pet sit again!

Caroline was the consummate professional sitter for our recent vacation. I highly recommend her services. Caroline took great care of our pups in our home while we were gone, sending numerous pictures each day to let us know how they were doing. We could tell by their posture and demeanor they were happy and not stressed … which was our concern with leaving them with someone “new.” Caroline love the doggos and most importantly, they loved her! Additionally, Caroline took immaculate care of our home and had our place looking pristine upon our arrival home. I cannot be more pleased with her services! Use her!!! You won’t be disappointed!

Abby was great! Super communicative and we met before the time she was housesitting so she could meet the dogs and see our house. She took great care of our dogs and our house and was a delight. The dogs snuggled with her and she was great about walking them and taking good care of them. We are so grateful for Abby!

About: Hi! I’ve had dogs my entire life and they’ve always been at the center of my world. My most recent pup, Effy, was with me for 15 years — she was truly the love of my life. While I’m not quite ready to have a dog of my own again, I couldn’t imagine my life without them, which is why I’m so excited to be here on Rover! Your pet will be loved and cared for like my own. I can’t wait to meet them I work from home Monday–Friday, so your pet will have my full attention throughout the day — no long stretches alone. I am able to work remotely so care during the day is no issue. I live in an apartment in Meraux above my dad’s office, so while there’s no yard, we have plenty of space to get outside for walks. There are stairs, but I’m happy to carry pets up and down as needed.

About: If you’re looking for someone who will love your pets like they’re my own, you’ve come to the right place! I have over 3 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities—from playful puppies to energetic large breeds and lovable little companions. Animals have always held a special place in my heart. I even volunteered with an SPCA camp for several days and still enjoy spending some of my free time around animals whenever I can. Being able to care for pets brings me so much joy, and knowing they’re happy, safe, and loved while their owners are away means everything to me. I’m also a proud dog mom to a male Yorkie and a female Toy Poodle, so I understand the patience, attention, and daily care that pets need to thrive. Along with caring for my own dogs, I’ve also pet sat for friends and family on multiple occasions, giving me experience with a variety of temperaments and routines. When your pet is with me, they’ll receive lots of love, attention, playtime, belly rubs, and personalized care. I know every pet is different, so I take the time to get to know their personality and needs to make sure they feel happy and secure. pet care can always fit into my daily routine! I work 4am-12pm but i’m always available after those times i’m a very flexible person and always free Sunday’s and Mondays! I always treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. In my client’s home, I stick closely to their pet’s normal routine to help them feel comfortable and stress-free. That includes feeding them on schedule, providing fresh water, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of love and attention. I also keep the home clean, send regular photo updates, and make sure pets are safe! I’ll stay close to my phone incase of emergencies and i’ll make sure your pet is loved and cared for!

About: I have a calm demeanor that appeals to all sorts of animal personalities. In the past i’ve volunteered with Zues' Rescue and I’m generally the go to pet care friend :) I’m a school counselor, so during the school year I am available after school and on weekends. During the summer, I am available 24/7. I can make exceptions if I am on PTO, holidays, etc. I make sure to observe an animals natural routine. Where they like their toys to be, their food dishes, etc. I am especially understanding of animals who may have experienced trauma and have triggers; I make sure to meet them at their level when I approach, speak quietly, etc.

FAQs for House Sitting - Caernarvon

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 720 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Caernarvon. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Caernarvon walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Caernarvon maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Caernarvon choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Caernarvon. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
