About: Growing up on an animal rescue in Washington State, I learned to care for a wide variety of animals, including (but not limited to): cats, dogs, horses, donkeys, snakes, lizards, chickens, pigs, birds, and a couple types of rodent. And loved almost every minute of it! (Roosters can really mess you up) I live in an apartment in Chicago now so while I only have the capacity for our two cats as pets, I still have a lot of love to give and space in my heart for animals. So, helping others care for theirs has been a very fulfilling experience for me. *I do have experience with more challenging animals (reactive, anxious, behavioral issues), so if your little one struggles with any of the like, please let me know in your request what that looks like for you and them. I'm currently a bartender in music venues that are typically only open on weekend nights, leaving me quite a bit of free time in between! I care for your pets with the same care, love, and patience as if they are my own. You set the house rules and guidelines, and I do everything I can to keep things feeling as routine and normal as possible for them.

About: I've grown up with dogs. I helped care for my family dog from childhood until moving out after college. While living with my father and step mother in between college and medical school I helped care for their family dog. I took them for walks, fed them, provided water, and cleaned up after them as my step mom's dog sometimes had stomach issues. I've also pet sat my little sister's dog, who also needed to take vitamins and antibiotics at night and needed eye creams. I am currently a 4th year medical student who spends most of her free time outside of the hospital studying. Having the opportunity to go for a daily walk outside could easily fit anywhere in my weekend routine, as well as an evening or early morning walk on weekdays. I would love the opportunity to get some sunlight and fresh air while providing that for your dogs as well. Pet sitting in the evenings, over night or on weekends can also seamlessly fit my schedule. I can easily come by after coming home from the hospital to provide your pup with food, water, and a walk outside before we settle down to study, and take some breaks to play with dog toys or nap, or however your pup wants to spend our time together. I don't currently have a pet where I live currently, my dog lives back home with my father and step mother. While I lived with them, I would feed our dog in the morning then let him out into our back patio/yard to pee and poop and get some fresh air, and we would do the same at night. He also enjoyed sitting outside with me when I would take a break from studying, but I always kept an eye out for any signs that he'd been sitting out in the sun for a while and would make sure he'd go back inside and get some cool air and water. I would also take him on a walk either in the morning or in the evening. In your home, if you have a preference on when, where, and how you want these things to happen I will follow them. Otherwise I would take the approach of feeding them in the morning and at night, taking them for a walk or a short trip outside to pee and poop, and make sure they have water. If you prefer your pet be placed in their crate before I leave I will do that as well.
