“We LOVE Taylor! She is amazing with our 2 pups and handles both of their personalities so well! She is always punctual, a great communicator, and very flexible with our schedule. Highly recommended her for all animals with all different types of behaviors. Taylor rocks!”

“Alex did a great job walking my senior pup the past two weeks! He's very responsive on the app and was even willing to be flexible on the timing when something came up last minute. I recommend him for anyone looking for a dependable walker. Thanks Alex!”

“Kristine did an amazing job with my babies!! She was punctual. Communicated amazingly and was able to follow all my very detailed instructions making. I had a quite a few security measures and she followed vetting perfectly making me feel like my dogs and home were safe while I was way in Cancun for 5 days. The babies loved her. I even got a little jealous watching my Roxy cry on the camera after their time together. I will 1000% recommend Kristine and will be using her in the future for dog sitting/walking needs!”

“Sierra is amazing. She truly connected with our two dogs (both husky mixes), and they couldn't wait for her to arrive so they could on their walks with her. She has a great personality and I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a true professional.”

“Lady was excellent - she has trouble entering our apartment due to a front desk error but she was in contact with me and so patient. I'm looking forward to her meeting Lexie in the future for a walk!”

About: I have always been an animal person, and have been a regular dogsitter and catsitter for friends and family for over 10 years. I love caring for all types of critters, from little balls of energy to to more mellow senior animals, and will try my best not to spoil yours too much (depending on how quickly they steal my heart.) I specialize in enrichment activities, such as walks and play sessions, but will also enjoy just hanging out with your little buddy in any capacity. I'm currently off of school for the summer, so I have lots of available time in the day to care for your animals! I am generally available any day of the week between 8 AM and 10 PM, except for Sunday, when I am not available until 11 AM. (6-8 AM is also a possibility if necessary.) I always make sure to respect my clients' homes and keep their belongings safe from rowdy playing. I will always be sure to read your instructions for entry carefully, and I am good at cleaning up a mess if there is one made.

About: Experienced pet sitter caring for dogs and cats, including my grand kitties at home, providing feeding, playtime, litter care, and a calm, loving, consistent environment daily Pet sitting fits naturally into my routine, with scheduled walks, feeding, playtime, and check-ins, ensuring pets receive consistent care, attention, and comfort every day I create a safe, calm space by following routines, monitoring behavior, securing surroundings, using gentle handling, and building trust through patience, consistency, and positive interactions daily
About: I grew up always having a dog in the house. When I moved out I really missed hanging out with my dogs so I started dog walking. I worked as a dog walker in DC for 4 years. I learned about body language, leash training, and how unique every dog truly is. I love to walk. I love dogs. I figured why not get back into it. I am a student at UBalt, working part time remotely. I work Thursday to Saturday from home. My schedule is very open at the moment. I have a toddler so I am very sweet and caring but I also love to play (carefully) so if your dog has a lot of energy I can handle that and still be careful and attentive

“Jenna was great- she had availability at the last minute, was super quick to respond to messages, and the peace of mind that came from her text updates about picking up the pup and their hangout together was so worth it. I'd definitely use her services again!”
“Bria helped out while my partner was in the hospital and Ahsoka and I were staying in a hotel. She was great, worked with my hectic day-to-day plans, and gave me peace of mind that Ahsoka had a buddy.”

“Ivan came over for a meet and greet with my dog, who liked him immediately. He picked up the dog at the scheduled time and took him on an hour walk. When I got home the dog was back in his crate and very content. Thank you Ivan!”

“Julie is absolutely wonderful! I can tell she genuinely cares for the pets she’s watching. She’s quite diligent, prompt, and responsive. I would recommend her to any one who needs a dog walker/sitter”

About: **Note on availability: I’m moving to Boulder, CO on June 29th, so unfortunately I won’t be available for pet sitting in Baltimore after that!** I’m a (near-)lifelong pet owner and (actually) lifelong pet lover. I grew up with an adorable calico cat that my family got when I was 2 and an energetic Stabyhoun dog we got when I was 11, so I can’t remember a time in my life when I didn’t have an animal or two to care for. That calico cat, Micio, was my best friend until she died at age 17, during my senior year of high school. She experienced some significant health issues in her final years, which gave me lots of experience and a real passion for caring for senior pets and pets with health issues. I also help my mom care for my childhood dog, the Stabyhoun, whenever I visit the two of them—he is now 15 and has a few health issues of his own, but he still acts like a puppy, and I love figuring out how to make him as comfortable and happy as possible as his needs change! Sadly, the building I live in right now doesn’t allow pets, so I get my fix looking after my friends’ pets. This is what I’ve been doing since starting college in 2018. Between cat sibling rivalries, kittens so small they needed monitoring and heating pads 24/7, a dog with a fear of trash cans and rain, a puppy with a peeing problem, and two dogs competing to be the most polite to each other (I had to feed them in different rooms so they wouldn’t wait forever for each other to eat), I’ve cared for plenty of pets on every side of the personality spectrum, from the shyest of the shy to the most outgoing. I see it as a true privilege to get to know so many animals’ personalities and quirks, and I treasure the time that I spend with them. I am careful, thorough, sensitive, and a good listener. This helps me learn from you about how to give your pet the best care possible, and it also helps me be alert to anything your pet is trying to tell me while I’m with them! Hopefully I’ll live somewhere someday where I can have pets of my own and even offer boarding or doggy day care at my place, but for now, I’m just happy to help in any small way I can. I look forward to getting to know you and your pet; to learning what makes them feel safe, happy, and content; and to hopefully making a new friend. I’m a part-time music teacher, so my schedule can be quite flexible when planned ahead of time. Currently, I’m available M/W/Th before 3pm and after 5pm, Tuesdays before 3pm and after 9pm, and Fri-Sun all day. Depending on the week, I might have a concert to play or a lesson to teach here or there outside of those hours; let me know what time window you’re interested in and I can give you my full schedule in detail! I try my best to make the care I provide is customized to any pet’s needs. Since I’m a musician, my only limit is that if I’m spending a whole day or days with a pet who needs a lot of people time, I need to be able to practice my violin. I have a practice mute which can make the sound very soft, but still, I understand that this isn’t every person’s (or animal’s) cup of tea! Outside of that limitation, I am available to take your pet on walks, play with them (in or outside of your house), pamper them, feed them, give them medications, intervene in sibling squabbles as needed, do training exercises with them, brush their teeth—if your pet needs it, and you’re willing to teach me any special instructions or methods you have, I can do it!
Greenmount East dog parents share their Rover experiences
Alex was so warm, calm, and easygoing that he immediately made us feel comfortable, especially since this was our first time hiring a pet sitter. He took the time to get to know our husky, listened carefully to all of our instructions, and made sure our pup was well cared for, walked, and able to go potty. It gave us such peace of mind knowing our dog was in good hands. Thank you, Alex, for making our first Rover experience such a positive and wonderful one!
