About: Hi! I offer dependable dog walks and drop-in visits with a focus on consistency, safety, and genuine care. I love animals and enjoy getting to know each pet’s personality and routine. I grew up with dogs and have cared for a variety of animals over the years, including cats, birds, and other small pets. Being around animals has always been a natural part of my life, and I’m comfortable adapting to different needs and temperaments. I also have my own dog, which has reinforced how important patience, structure, and understanding behavior can be. I take a calm, thoughtful approach and always aim to make pets feel comfortable and cared for during each visit. With my background in healthcare, I’m very detail-oriented, reliable, and respectful of routines. Whether it’s feeding schedules, medications, or specific instructions, I make sure everything is followed closely. Pet care fits into my routine in a consistent, structured way. I offer early mornings, limited midday visits (based on proximity), and evenings, and I keep my schedule intentionally manageable so I can be on time and fully present for each pet. This works well for clients who need reliable, ongoing weekday support. I focus on keeping pets comfortable by sticking closely to their normal routine and following all care instructions carefully. Safety is a priority—I use secure leashing and entry practices, pay attention to each pet’s behavior, and adjust as needed to keep them safe and calm. I’m respectful of your home and provide clear updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing.
“Sun has been great to work with, and I hope to continue to work with them this year. Fitz responds really well to them, and I can tell they care about taking care of my dog. Thank you so much for all that you do!”

About: Have taken care of various breeds, both big and small, as well as high energy working dogs, for family and friends over the years. This includes both walks and full dog-sitting for up to two weeks at a time. Currently work remote and can provide lots of care for dogs who need it! I am usually an early riser and prefer to get outside in the mornings, but can also offer midday and night walks given my flexible work schedule. Willing to go on runs for dogs who have lots of energy to get out! I am primarily open to caring for pets in clients homes because I currently have roommates. I keep spaces clean and organized and will provide plenty of ear and belly runs for your pet.
About: I have experience with dogs/animals of all types! Being raised on a hobby farm, I grew up with a deep love for animals and have cared for dogs, cats, horses, goats, rabbits, and small rodents. I currently have a senior husky with epilepsy and a hospice foster dog at home, so I am very comfortable working with seniors or animals who might have some extra needs. Recently, I worked for a private client in Baltimore city doing drop-in visits and overnight stays in my home 3-4 days a week, caring for a 100lb Labrador Retriever. I would love to get to know your best friend (and you)! Please reach out with any additional questions! I am currently preparing to start my graduate internship in mental health counseling. Due to this, I currently have a lot of available time and flexibility in my work schedule. Making sure your pet stays safe and happy while I’m with them is my main priority. You’re the expert on your pet, so I will always listen to your wishes/rules for your pet and home while I’m there.
“Hannah did an amazing job with my anxious pup! She is very patient and kind towards her. In addition, she is extremely reliable, flexible, informative, and communicative with myself when planning for walks and during her time with Lady. Highly recommend!”

About: I've taken care of all different kinds of pets since I was 15, ranging from small dogs like westies and dachshunds to big dogs like pitbulls and Newfoundlands, as well as cats, and small mammals like guinea pigs. I work from home so I can watch your pet at my house, or I can stop by and sit them for a while, and I also have experience house sitting pets. I currently work from home and make my own hours, so I can work around your pet's schedule. I can take care of them at my house or watch them in their own home. I have a fenced in yard and multiple floors with pet gates on each level to keep your pets separated from own if it is needed.
“Kal was great! She came and got the dogs from our hotel which was a huge help. She did a good job walking them and feeding them for us. She worked with our schedule to meet up prior to her coming to take them out. I highly recommend Kal!”

“We would highly recommend Emily! She was responsive, responsible, reliable, and prompt. She clearly took great care of our sweet boy and showed him lots of love and attention during their walk together. Thank you, Emily!”

About: Hey all, I have been hosting dogs on Rover on and off for almost 10 years now. My dog Camden really enjoys hanging out with pups and meeting new buddies! I work in DC Monday-Wednesday, but the rest of the week I’m available for boarding and drop ins/walks. I have experience with a ton of breeds, ages, and sizes of pups and am always happy to take them on adventures! I work remotely and have a fenced yard, allowing me to provide supervision pretty much the entire day. My own dog Camden is very dog friendly and would love any friend to play with, inside or outside. I have my own dog as well who loves meeting new friends. I would be happy to take our dogs on group walks or hikes, and have my own backyard for them to play whenever they want.
About: I have years of experience with pet care starting at a young age with numerous dogs. I am great with large dogs. I have trained all of the dogs I have had in the past. I work at home allowing me to stay on schedule for meals, medications and walks while watching them to make sure they get the care and attention they need. I have a small park right out front for quick bathroom breaks and Patterson Park is a couple blocks away for longer walks. I take them on walks routinely, feed them at the expected time, give medication if needed at specific times and get them stimulated through playing with them.
“Andrew has been really great with our two dogs. He is great with them, attentive, and patient. He is also responsive when it comes to messaging about booking or concerns about my dogs.”

“Joselyn walked my pup 4 times this past weekend and also made sure he was fed and got lots of treats. Joselyn was very responsive and kept me in the loop with updates. I highly recommend Joselyn and will plan to book her again in the future! Thank you Joselyn!”

About: I grew up surrounded by different pets but mainly dogs. As an adult I've been exposed to cats and I get to feed my neighbors cats now and then. Currently, I have two dogs, Flash and Mina, who I've been taking care of since they were puppies. My dogs are highly energetic, so I don't mind taking care of dogs with a lot of energy. Due to my schedule flexibility, I can help with potty training as well. I am currently self-employed and mostly work from home. I can adjust my schedule to mostly any pet routine. I can walk dogs many times per day as needed. For right now, I am not offering boarding as my two dogs prefer to have their own space. However, I am happy to take care of your pet in their environment and to keep their routine to make them feel as calm as possible while you are away.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs for the past eight years. I am comfortable house sitting along with dog sitting and dog walking. I am a very active person so I am happy to walk your dog as many times as needed to make them happy! I am currently working as a server and at Breakthrough T1D in DC, but I am hybrid some days and willing to help out weekdays and weekends. I would work around your schedule Though it says “Away”, reach out to me! I work at Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) and am also a server. My schedule is hybrid and I am flexible so I’m happy to discuss and work with you! I like to be with the dogs and cats as much as I can, but have the opportunity to occasionally go back to my own house to take a shower and grab some food.
About: I've always had a dog growing up and my parents made sure that me and my sisters were a part of training and raising a great dog. I've wanted my own pup forever and in 2019 when I was 100% ready to take on the responsibility, I got my best buddy, Atlas. We began our training at 16 weeks and are still going strong learning new skills and mastering old ones. My fiancé loves to say we "got such a great dog", but I know that Atlas and I worked our butts off to earn those compliments from strangers. In 2022 we adopted Dover into our little family giving Atlas a forever playmate. Dover is surprisingly 100% GSD which provided quite a learning curve as his training needs strongly differed from Atlas'. Working with Dover gave me a deeper understanding of dogs with separation anxiety and fear reactivity (barking) which has made me that much more prepared to work with any pup. I don't believe there are bad dogs, but every dog can have a bad day. As someone with a pup who is more reserved and particular about meeting new people, I understand the fear that comes with leaving your dog with someone new. It is my goal to love and understand your pup the same way you do so that you can feel comfortable being away. I'm embarrassingly obsessed with being the best dog owner, so I am constantly trying to learn how to best interact with dogs (and cats!) or fun new ways to engage my playful boys. I am the person friends call when they need help with their pets in any capacity-training, boarding, dog park visits, etc. My commitment to extraordinary pet care extends well past just my own boys. I can't wait to make your life as a pet parent just a little bit easier! Let's chat. 😊 I currently have a wide open schedule so I am available whenever your pet needs. I'm a morning person, so I don't mind the early morning walks. 🌞 As someone who understands that sometimes the need for short notice pet care is unavoidable, I am here to help step in when you need it most! Ever pet parent knows the best way to care for their pets, so I will always follow your guidance or suggestions. I love playing with pets and burning off that excess energy; I'm not one to just stop in and fill the water bowl-you can rest easy knowing snuggles always come after some exercise. I also love receiving updates or pictures of my boys when under someone else's care and I am happy to provide that to parents who prefer some pooch pics in the middle of the work day.

“Thanks to Imauri’s flexible schedule, she was able to accommodate our beagle who is just shy of four months and needed to be taken out for walks. Very professional, even checked up on my puppy when I was a little late getting back home just to make sure he was OK. She even tidied up after he came in from his walk which was extremely helpful. My baby loves her and is comfortable with her and that speaks volumes for my shy beagle.”

I have booked walks with Lady N. several times including a long 2 weeks vacation for my 10 year old lab/pitbull mix. Lady is great with Bordeaux! The communication was great and I received updates and many pictures during their walks, which made me feel at ease while I was gone. I definitely recommend Lady N!

My dog Bert is my Everything, he’s truly my Ride or Die. He’s also a fearful, reactive, and perfect boy all the same. Therefore, finding people to walk or care for him can be difficult. Dan is one among the few whom I feel totally at ease with knowing Bert is being prioritized and truly cared for while together. Nobody loves dogs like Dan, it’s a rare thing to see. Additionally, Dan has prioritized dog safety, which means he is aware of what dog anxiety looks like and how it manifests. He continues to train himself and his own dogs to maintain ongoing success in always changing environments which can be tough for anxious babies. That asset is tough to find in terms of your average dog walker. I’m so glad a person like Dan is out there giving it his all because to folks like me and Bert, that trust is priceless.

We are so fortunate to have found Sarah on Rover! We could not have asked for a more patient and understanding friend to our Tilley, and highly recommend her for anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy sitter! Great communication and flexibility during her visit, would definitely book her again!
