“Amanda and her husband Max took such great care of our two dogs while we were away for a weekend! Amanda sent frequent updates, lots of pictures, and I could tell our dogs felt right at home! Would definitely recommend Amanda for any care needs!”

“Our dog Happy had a great stay with Brianna. It was the first time we ever boarded our dog, so we were nervous at first, but Brianna was very welcoming and our dog warmed up to her quickly. This was our quick test to make sure our dog (and we) could handle the separation for a short period of time, as a bridge to boarding her for a longer stretch of time. Our dog passed due to Brianna's hospitality, so we are much more comfortable boarding her for a longer stay with Brianna very soon! Thanks so much, Brianna and family!”

“Let me start by saying this was my first time using Rover ever. Andrew was so helpful and reassuring and explained everything to me. Additionally, while I was away he kept me up to date with texts and pictures of Finn. Finn had a great time with Andrew and you can just tell Andrew knew exactly how to best care for my puppy. Thank you so much!!”

“We are repeat customers by this point. My dog is always so happy during the time she's boarding there. It gives me joy to know that I'm leaving my dog with someone who loves her as much as I do.”

“Sabrina was very sweet. She kept in contact during my pets’ stay through pictures and videos. My children enjoyed seeing them and knowing Henry (Bullmastiff) and Aponia (Russian Blue) were content and well taken of. Definitely will use her again.”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and am comfortable adapting to all personalities ~ from energetic and social to more shy or sensitive. Growing up, our home always had multiple dogs, so I’m very used to different temperaments, routines, and dynamics. I’ve also had hands-on experience supporting pregnant dogs and caring for litters, including situations where extra attention and patience were needed early on. Over time, I’ve learned that every dog is different, and I take the time to understand their behavior, energy, and needs so they feel safe and comfortable. My own dog is very social and friendly, and since we’re new to the area, she would love to make some new friends as well. I’m happy to care for your dog in whatever way they need ~ whether that’s boarding, drop-in visits, or a relaxed walk around your neighborhood. My goal is always to provide dependable care and make the experience easy and stress-free for both you and your pet. I look forward to connecting with you! I currently work full-time in a hybrid remote role. I offer my services on days I’m working from home so I can give your dog consistent attention, supervision, and care throughout the day. If you need boarding services, you can expect that your dog would spend their time lounging in my home with me and my dog, Khalesi. We have a fenced-in dog park within the community, but I prefer to take them on long strolls near the grassy areas so they can get plenty of new smells to sniff.
“First Impressions Boarding my dog, Lilly, with someone outside the family for the first time made me a little nervous. My granddaughter, who had used Rover before, helped me submit the application and choose a sitter. Even on the way to drop Lilly off, I still felt apprehensive, but that quickly changed when Teresa gave us such a warm welcome and Lilly and I were greeted by Teresa’s three friendly dogs. Although Lilly seemed a bit overwhelmed at first, she soon relaxed after playing in Teresa’s large backyard, and I felt comfortable leaving her there. Updates During Her Stay Teresa reassured me that Lilly would be well cared for and promised to keep me updated. She followed through by sending photos and notes about how Lilly was sleeping, eating, and taking her medicine, which I really appreciated. Pickup and Overall Experience When I picked Lilly up, Teresa told me what a joy she had been to care for. She said Lilly was very sweet, that her daughter had fallen in love with her, and even one of her dogs had taken a liking to her. Teresa also said Lilly would be welcome back anytime. I left feeling grateful for the care Lilly received and would happily trust Teresa with her again.”

“Suely was the best! She took great care of Cooper. I can’t tell you what a weight off my mind it was knowing that he was in good hands, happy, and well taken care of. I got lots of pictures too during his stay, so I felt like I knew what was going on. I actually think Cooper was a little sad to leave he had such a good time! Thank you, thank you, thank you Suely!”

“sent adorable pictures, communicated clearly and timely prior to and during hana's stay with her, and loved on hana while caring for her during the stay. hana and milo (julie's dog) have similar personalities and seemed to get along quite well during the stay together. would highly recommend julie and will definitely request her to watch our hana again in the future. THANK YOU, JULIE!”

“Simply FANTASTIC!! Our furbaby was pampered by Marcy and her family for three nights. She takes her job seriously and sent MANY photos and videos and responded to any texts very quickly. Will definitely be using Marcy’s services again in the future.”

“Desi and Marilyn were wonderful. The dogs are a handful and Desi was great with them. I highly recommend their services. I felt confident the dogs were in good hands!! Will definitely send them there in the future.”

“Cheyenne was very patient with Jeremiah. He was hiding most of the time he was with her. Yet she still would find him and send us pictures daily. I would definitely use her again in the future.”

“Michelle went above and beyond for my dog Dodo during his stay. He was greatly cared and loved by Michelle. Michelle’s dog Archie was so awesome and friendly so they were able to bond and hang out. She sent photos and videos regularly and let me know how Dodo was doing. A must five star!!!!”

“We had to leave Hershey for the memorial long weekend and were fortunate to have found Dee to take care of him. She was AMAZING, super responsive, truly caring for Hershey, treating him like one of her own. I highly recommend Dee to anyone who's looking for a boarding for their dog.”

“Brain was very easy to work with. Meet and Greet was super easy and the actual boarding was super smooth. Max seems to have had a great time with Brian. I would highly recommend Brian.”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better and more trustworthy person to look after Cloud than Stacy. She kept us always up to date with how she was doing, asking good and relevant questions and above all, showing Cloud a lot of love. Stacy is my go-to person to look after Cloud whenever we need to”

“Chi Wing is absolutely amazing! He kept me updated multiple times a day on how my dog was doing with messages and pictures. I will definitely be rebooking with him! 😊”

“This was the first time Tracy and Steven watched our boy Orso and we will gladly book with them again. They provided a fun, stimulating and caring environment. They kept us well informed with daily pictures and videos. They were easy to work with and very responsive. They even purchased a larger dog door so Orso could comfortably come and go as he pleased. We were able to enjoy our time away knowing Orso was in such good hands and keeping busy meeting all his new pup friends.”

“I was so fortunate to find Amy just before our vacation given alternate plans that had fallen through. She is super friendly and accommodating, thorough and responsive. Took great care of my babies as if they were her own and they had a great time on their stay, given the many couch lounging photos sent daily. Thank you and will be our preferred booking moving forward.”

“Absolutely amazing sitters! Extremely professional and considerate. I was nervous to leave my dog with new people but they offered a meet and greet days in advanced, had me complete a questionnaire on his feeding, preferences, quirks etc. And provided me with daily updates including pictures. I was able to travel at ease knowing he was in safe hands. Thank you so much for taking such great care of Snickers.”

Sonya was amazing with our doggie Kylo. This is Kylo’s first time away from home and familiar faces so he was anxious. Sonya made sure to treat him like her own and kept me up to date on his stay. Would highly recommend her to anyone needing sitting services and her doggie also made Kylo feel welcomed.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Caitlin. She took such amazing care of our boy Orso ensuring he got plenty of exercise, attention., play, and ate well! She sent multiple updates throughout the day, including pictures and videos which made us feel so much better. She is responsive and communicates well. Orso had a great time with her and Georgia! I know he’ll look forward to returning!

Moonyoung and Sunhyung took such wonderful care of our dog Nova. From the very begining, they were thoughful, kind and caring. They asked all the right questions and really took the time to understand Nova's needs and personality. They provided daily updates on how Nova was doing along with a few pictures! It was clear they genuienly cared about her and treated her like their own. I highly recommend them and will definitely call on them again to care for our girl!

Our Australian labradoodle, Finn, had a great stay with Manuel. He was well cared for and enjoyed walks, playtime, and snuggles. We received updates everyday, so we could relax on vacation knowing Finn was safe and happy. We feel very comfortable leaving Finn with Manuel and will certainly use him again.

I honestly can’t recommend Justine enough. From even before I booked with Rover, she was incredibly communicative, transparent, and kind. We were in contact for weeks before Max’s stay, and she took the time to answer all of my questions and make me feel completely comfortable. As a first-time Rover user, that meant so much to me. While I was away in Mexico, I never had to wonder how Max was doing. Justine sent regular updates with photos and videos, and it was obvious from every update that she genuinely cared about him. She didn’t just watch him—she spent time with him, played with him, and gave him so much love and attention. It was clear he wasn’t just another pet to her. When I picked Max up, he was happy, relaxed, well-fed, and acted like he’d been home the whole time. That’s probably the biggest compliment I can give. I could tell he felt safe and cared for every single day he was with her. On top of that, I accidentally left some of Max’s belongings at her house, and she even took the time to drive them back to me. That level of thoughtfulness really says everything about the kind of person she is. This was my first experience using Rover, and because of Justine, it couldn’t have gone better. She exceeded every expectation I had, and I would trust her with Max again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much, Justine!

Thank you so much for watching Rocky. He was so happy when I picked him up. Doug & Luis were so pleasant and welcoming. Rocky immediately gravitated to Luis and Doug. This was my first overnight without my dog and I am glad that it was with Doug and Luis. Doug consistently communicated and sent pics with Rocky and friends. Thank you and I will be recommending and using again. Naj

This was our first time leaving our Lucy with someone outside of our home and it was a great experience using Darien. She was very professional, very kind, super communicative with daily videos and Lucy came back to us looking and acting super well cared for. We will definitely plan to use her again in the future.

Our family had an amazing experience with Gisselle! From the moment we booked, she went above and beyond to make sure both we and our dogs felt comfortable. She kept us updated throughout their stay with messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. The best part was seeing how genuinely happy our dogs were. They absolutely adored Gisselle, and they had such a great time with her sweet dog too! It was clear they were treated like part of the family, receiving plenty of love, attention, and care. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, communicative, and truly passionate about animals, we can’t recommend Gisselle enough. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!

What a relief. Our 10yr old Guinny has not had overnight boarding/sitting in years. Now that he is visually impaired and diabetic we were extremely nervous to leave him multiple days. Berenice was so attentive and made us feel comfortable from the very start. She maintained his twice-a-day insulin injection schedule and kept him active. At pick up I could immediately tell he felt safe with her as there was no pulling away, no whining, no fuss. We did not enter fully inside the home but still felt it was welcoming and suitable for dog-siiting. We are happy and will definitely book Berenice again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
