“I don't think we could have asked for a more positive first time Rover experience. We usually had family or close friends dog sit for us, but this year for the first time we did not have someone who could watch Frida while we were traveling between Christmas and New Year. So I decided to give Rover a try and I scheduled boarding with Jenn ~3 weeks in advance. I was a bit nervous, but Jenn was great, responsible and reassuring while we finalized plans. During the stay, Jenn provided updates and sent us pictures every other day. So, we enjoyed our trip and didn’t have to worry at all about Frida . Jenn was fantastic and we will definitely book with her again. About: I spent the past 4 years running a successful dog-watching business in NYC with my partner. We have since relocated to Northern NJ and intend to provide the same high quality services for pets here. I grew up with animals - dogs, rabbits, birds, mice, turtles and fish. I would’ve had cats too if members of my family weren’t so allergic. As a teen I volunteered with friends at our local animal shelter and chose to work with the cat population because most of the volunteers wanted to walk the dogs. Most recently I trained my own dog - starting from when she was 6 weeks old. I used a combination of training techniques (including crate training) to successfully potty-train her, teach her to walk on a leash and eventually teach her to hike and run together off-leash. My dog is now 3 years old and I bring her to my grandmother’s assisted living facility. She interacts with and plays appropriately with other dogs, pets, adults and children of all ages. She is a secure dog and adaptable to any environment. I believe my dog’s calm and friendly demeanor is a direct reflection of my skills. I’m prepared to handle dogs across the spectrum of sizes and energy levels. I live close to many beautiful parks and trails, some with dedicated areas for dog-play. I will closely follow any instructions you have for feeding, exercising, sleeping and socializing your precious pet. Typically, I would take dogs out on long walks in the surrounding areas or backyards, play with and feed all animals, and ensure that their water bowls are changed and filled with clean water, and all litter boxes, cages or tanks are cleaned. I will make sure to be vigilant when it comes to clients' pets to make certain they are safe at all times. And, you can ensure that I will leave the clients' home clean and exactly how it was found, and once finished, all doors and windows will be locked and secured to prevent possible intrusions. I am someone who always double checks to make sure a door is locked.
About: I have two kitties of my own, but have experience with both dogs and cats, including giving extra medical attention to elderly pets. I grew up around animals and absolutely love being around all kinds of pets. Would love to help out with your fur babies! I work full remotely and have a flexible schedule. I am very communicative and responsive, and will do my best to accommodate your schedule and needs! If I am in your home, I will be respectful of your space and ensure everything is left clean and how it was upon arrival!
