I’m a reliable dog and pet sitter based in West Orange with over 18 years of pet sitting experience and 188 repeat clients. I truly enjoy caring for pets like they’re part of my own family, and I have experience with dogs and cats of all sizes, from small breeds like Yorkies and Poodles to larger dogs like German Shepherds. I live in a spacious 3 bedroom apartment with a good sized backyard, giving pets room to feel comfortable and relaxed. I’m also located in a quiet, friendly neighborhood near two large parks, both less than a mile away; perfect for frequent walks and outdoor time. I currently work in the UN Section for Humanitarian Affairs, and I bring that same sense of responsibility and care into how I look after animals. I understand how important it is to have someone dependable when you’re away, whether for work, travel, or emergencies. I have access to a car, so transportation is never an issue if needed. Walks are frequent, and I make sure pets stay active, comfortable, and well cared for. I also have experience administering medication, including pills and food-mixed medications, with no issues. My family has always had dogs, and I’ve cared for everything from small companion breeds to large dogs like German Shepherds. My 17 year old daughter also loves animals and has experience with her own large poodle, so pets in my care are always in a loving environment. Whether it’s dog sitting, house sitting, or drop-in care, I provide dependable, safe, and attentive care so you can feel completely at ease while you’re away.

Manuel was wonderful with Sharky, our maltipoo puppy. We’d already booked a trip before the chance to adopt her came along, which meant leaving her with a sitter just two weeks after bringing her home. We were sad to leave her, especially so soon after her arrival. Manuel was kind and patient, and he put us completely at ease. He sent daily updates, photos, and videos throughout the week. We absolutely recommend him!
We are very happy with Manuel, he takes great care of our dog Maui and we trust leaving our dog with him.

Schedule
I’m currently working from home Monday - Friday, except Thursdays, so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I’m available for boarding on both weekends and weekdays.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced yard and an indoor camera with microphone at home to monitor your pup when I need to step away. The temperature at home is always regulated to prevent it from getting too hot or cold.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks Surrounding neighborhood as well as two parks are located nearby. Branch Brook Park is relatively large with long walking paths and open grassy areas. Your dog's sleeping arrangement I want your dog to be as comfortable as they are when they're at home. My apartment is roomy so plenty of space to choose from. If you have a bed they love, please feel free to include it during your pet's stay. Time I'll spend with your dog On weekdays, I will be at my office for one day less than 8 hours, so before and after work will be devoted to taking care of your dog. On other weekdays/weekends, the entire day will be used for dog sitting.
