About: Hi there! I'm a lifelong dog lover who knows that our pets our family. I am a senior dog owner to two puggles and they are treated like royalty. I provide reliable dog walking and pet sitting with plenty of care, patience and playtime. Whether your pup needs a quick potty break, a long walk, or some extra love while you're away, I'll make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. I'm also comfortable feeding, light grooming (brushing), and giving extra snuggles if needed. I'd love to help you care for your furry friend like I do my own! I am currently getting a second masters degree online and I am home most of the time (info for pet parents who are looking for services). I take my dogs on lots of walks each day to get all of their sniffs in! I live in a townhouse and every time we go outside my dogs are on leashes. They go on about five walks a day. I would love to ensure your dog gets adequate exercise too!
“Jose was so great with Truffle! She's a very senior Pomeranian, and I worry that she'll be too much, but she was very happy and enjoyed her stay with him. Jose was also super flexible about drop off and pick up times when our flight times got shifted, which was super kind of him.”
“So so amazing! My second time having them as my pups sitter. They are so kind, and always send so many updates and pics! I would highly recommend, my puppy had the best time :)”

About: I have been walking dogs and taking care of cats and dogs for years. I give cats and dogs some attention and play with them. I am currently available on weekends and week nights for walking dogs. I am flexible with the times on weekends. I can take dogs for more than 20 minutes to give them more exercise and an enjoyable time. If you need your dog (s) to stay at my house overnight or during the day on weekends, I can look after them, play with them, and walk them. I have a large fenced yard.
“We contacted Terry with very short notice and he was willing to sit for Teddy. We had a meet and greet with his dogs and cat that went well. Terry took very good care of Teddy. He was responsive every time I texted him and he posted lots of pictures.”

“We left our dog with Ada and Micheli for two weeks and it was such a wonderful experience. They cared for him so well and he was very happy when we picked him up. They sent us photos and updates of him every day. You can easily tell how much they enjoy caring for pets. We will be happy to leave our Bentley with them anytime!”

About: I’ve always had a dog since I was born until I moved to Buffalo for school. I currently work a full time hybrid job where I am home most days with a pretty flexible schedule. Due to recent life changes, I no longer have my own pet and am really missing having a buddy at home.**Child not always with me, she’s with me Sunday through Wednesdays (away all day during the week for work) but is great with animals and has been around a large variety her whole life :) She’s for sure my mini and loves the fur babies as well! I currently work a full time hybrid job where I am home most days with a pretty flexible schedule. Due to recent life changes, I no longer have my own pet and am really missing having a buddy at home. I currently live in a first floor apartment, but there is a fenced in dog area right behind my building and love to take walks around the neighborhood. I have always been around animals and have a strong love for them all. A family member also a top Rover sitter in the Canandaigua area that I have assisted with as well for several years.
“Kiara took such a great care of Max! She also saved our lives as she took our last minute request after the pet sitter booked weeks in advance cancelled 30 minutes prior to drop off. Kiara came to the rescue and even picked up max in no time. We had a tournament out of the state and Kiara helped us loving our dog as if he was hers. She sent several pictures and kept us updated all the time. I will definitely let max again with her. :)”

“Alex and Bethany are the best. Super reliable! They had my blessing to introduce my dog to another and everything went great! They are seriously amazing. Thanks again guys!”

“Brian & Kathleen were excellent! Our dog can be a handful, but they took great care of him and treated him like their own. Will definitely hope to book again”

I cannot recommend Kasia enough! She took amazing care of Winston while I was away for the weekend. Kasia provided regular updates and photos - letting me know Winston was happy, comfortable, and so well loved. It was clear he was in great hands and getting lots of attention and care. I will definitely use Kasia again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy dog sitter!

Sophia is wonderful and was everything I hoped for when looking for someone I could trust to care for Petey. She has such a kind, calm, and laid-back demeanor, and Petey took to her right away—which immediately put me at ease. It’s a great feeling knowing Petey is with someone he’s comfortable with and who genuinely cares for him. Thank you, Sophia! Petey and I look forward to seeing you again soon!

Maryfran did a fantastic job taking care of our senior 13-year-old mini poodle! She greeted us at drop off in a clean, welcoming house, and reviewed all of our instructions before we left. We got thoughtful updates with pictures and videos every day, and our "Buster" came home relaxed, without any signs of stress - just the way you'd want it! Thanks, Maryfran!

Elizabeth and her family provided safe and happy vacation for our Skip and Kate. Elizabeth kept in touch and sent pictures through out the stay. When our flights were delayed she was flexible and it was easy to communicate changes with her. I highly recommend for your senior dog. I will definitely rebook with her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
