I work from home and enjoy having a friend join me. Potty time first thing in the AM, quick trips outside during the day and walks in the afternoon and after the work day. In NY we have a wonderful off leash park with a creek. If you've got a dog that loves to swim or run free, we go there in the evenings.

Safety, trust & environment
I care for pets in my home as if they are my own while following owner or foster coordinator direction. In the owners home, I obviously offer lots of love, any med and cleaning requirements. I enjoy long walks and enjoy having a dog with me if they enjoy them too.

Information Amy L. would like to know about your pet
Information required before watching a pet is simple but extensive. Any meds and how to administer? Where does the dog normally sleep? How often is the dog used to going outside? Do they prefer long walks and greeting strangers or do they prefer shorter trips outside? What time is meal time and what do they eat? Is snacking allowed? What snacks? People food? How much and how often? How rigid are the snack rules?
A typical day
A typical day is boring. I'm not sure what to say here because things change dramatically based on the personality of the pet. One dog might need the ball thrown 457 times an hour when another needs to be coaxed outside for a potty break. I work from home so unless I'm going to a store that isn't dog friendly, they're with me all the time.

Pet care experience
I have extensive experience with all types of pets including birds, lizards and insects neonatal and elderly. Any new clients will include a meet and greet before we start our relationship. This allows the people a chance to meet and discuss expectations. Its a chance for your pet and I to get to know each in a less stressful environment. I like to meet at my house. That way it's familiar to your pet on drop off day. I can take more than one pet per household but do not take pets from more than one family at a time. I love animals but travel too much to have my own. I was fostering regularly but, I was getting attached, especially to the ones here long term.
Reviews

Amy was great with Darcy! She sent lots of updates and he really enjoyed his time there

Amy is professional, skilled and kind. She shared daily updates and appreciated all my pet's quirks. She has worked with many pets and understands animals. She enjoys them, too. My pet was absolutely spoiled.
Amy took care of my super anxious, never-been-babysat-before, rescue dog. I received photos, videos and updates which was great. Felt completely comfortable with Amy!

Amy was wonderful, she sent pictures and videos throughout the day. Loki seemed to be having a great time with her. It was a last minute booking and I’m very grateful she was able to watch him.
