“I can't recommend Anthony and Jayson highly enough! Corin had an absolute blast. He loved spending time in the yard and came home happy. What really stood out was how responsive the rover was throughout the stay; I never had to wonder how things were going. I would absolutely book again the next time I travel. Five stars without hesitation!”

“We left our dog Koko in the care of Amy and her family, and it was a great decision. Every day they sent us photos and videos of Koko, and he always looked very happy. They provided him exceptional attention and care. Highly recommended!”

“Jose was SO easy to work with!! From coordinating a meet and greet to our pup’s weekend stay- he was very communicative and professional. Truly got the vibe that he treated our pup as his own. Thank you, Jose!!”

“Fabiola was fantastic. She sent consistent updates to let me know how my dog was doing and did a great job watching her. Would highly recommend!”

“Sophia took amazing care of our little pup Frank. She has a calm and loving energy and you can tell she genuinely loves dogs! She is an excellent communicator and we felt no anxiety leaving our pup in her care. Sophia is the best!”

“Amy was awesome! Made us feel very assured and comfortable with leaving our dog with her. She gave us updates, pictures and helped us feel relaxed so we could enjoy our vacation. Definitely recommend!!!”

“Elliot and Dominique did a fantastic job taking care of our little pampered girl. We have never left her with anyone else till these past 3 days. Elliot and Dominique did a great job updating us throughout the day and giving us pictures. They were loving and catered to Stella's needs. We will definitely let them watch Stella again.”

“Debra took great care of my dogs on my first extended trip away from them. She let my babies make themselves at home and put my mind at ease. I will definitely connect with her again in the future.”

“Alex and his partner were amazing at taking care of our two pups. We received daily photos and updates. From the updates you could really tell how much they were bonding and getting to know our dogs. They are very professional and really make the extra effort to understand the dogs and make sure they have everything they need to be happy and settled while they are away. My dogs exhibited some territorial behavior when a new dog came to stay, but they were able to handle the situation with care and thoughtfulness. My dogs came back happy and healthy and would definitely have them stay again. Thanks for everything!!”

“Would highly recommend and use Joely and Carson again! Great communication, very accommodating and consistent updates with pictures. I think my dog is still sad that she had to leave, but I will absolutely use them in the future.”

“Hannah is patient and very attentive with Ben! She gives regular updates and ensures that Ben has lots of fun. I’m never anxious whenever Ben is with her! Great job Hannah!!!”

“Leah was very thoughtful and patient with my puppy who is anxious and still learning house rules. She sent updates and was considerate about how to manage anxiety in dogs. I really appreciate that I could leave my pup with someone who I trusted!”

About: I come from a family who has always had multiple pets at a time, with anywhere from 3 to 10 foster dogs under our care at any given time! I’ve cared for a wide range of dogs from smaller poodles and Shih tzus to much larger retrievers, border collies, and German shepherds. I have experience with cats as well, but much more lengthy experience taking care of dogs of different sizes and temperaments :) I am a med student so my schedule varies in flexibility but I live in a very walkable area and typically spend a lot of time at home studying! I love taking long walks in between classes and studying and would love to bring a furry friend along with me :) As I do have to be in classes some days for a few hours (no more than 3-4 at a time), i am better boarding pets who can be left alone for a couple hours. As for my home, I have plenty of space for them to run around freely.
“Rachel was very accommodating with a meet and greet as well as the pick up and drop off times. She responded quickly to any questions, sent updates/pics, and took good care of Scout. It sounded like he had a lot of fun and he seemed happy, calm, and healthy when we picked him up. Thanks, Rachel!”

“Maryfran was a wonderful help with our Dog Ruby. She took Ruby on lots of walks and send us photos and updates throughout her stay. Maryfran even gave us some tips on how to get Ruby to be a better on leash walker! We really appreciate the care and love she gave to our fur baby while we were out of town! I would definitely use her again and recommend her!”

“David was amazing! He was super accommodating about a last minute booking, and sent lots of sweet pics of my pup having fun and getting loved on. He came back tired from all the playing and fun he had.”

Lauren and Justin are outstanding! We feel fully confident leaving our Golden with them. They are great at communicating with daily pictures, responsive and flexible. They have sweet dogs at their home and fenced in yard for lots of playtime. We are very thankful for the great care they give!

Amanda is amazing, so kind, and her dog Lucy is now my cat’s new friend. She provided pictures almost daily of my pet and let me know if there were any issues. I highly recommend her if you are looking to do a longer stay– she was phenomenal and went above and beyond.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
