He can be a little particular about who he decides is part of the pack and Steph was able to warm him up very quickly, no doubt due to her extensive experience with animals. Steph’s communication is excellent, she’s willing to tailor her service to our dog’s needs and I have total peace of mind leaving our fur baby in her hands because she’s proven to be capable and dependable. She’s even brought one of her dogs and/or kids along sometimes to help us socialize him because I mentioned he struggled with those things. 10/10 would recommend booking Steph.”

About: Hello! I am a PhD student at UofR who enjoys spending time outdoors and caring for pets. I'm turning to Rover to find new clients after previously babysitting both cats and dogs in my apartment building, whose owners have recently moved away. I enjoy taking dogs on long walks and hikes, and have experience with many animals, having spent most of my life on a farm. I would love the opportunity to care for your pets and keep them happy and active! I am happy to provide references. As a student, my schedule is busiest midweek, but I have plenty of free time on weekends and can easily accommodate mornings and evenings. Mondays and Fridays are also more flexible, making them great days for drop-ins, walks, or house sitting visits. I want to make sure your pets feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I do have a car and can transport larger dogs if needed, but I usually prefer caring for pets in their own home. I can do drop-in visits, house sitting, and taking dogs on walks in your neighborhood or mine (wherever they feel most at ease).

Our quiet hours are after 10 pm, meaning we do not allow pick-ups or drop-offs after 10 pm. *We do daily updates for stays less than 14 days, and every other day updates for any stays longer than 14 days! This allows us to focus on your pup! *We do offer constant care where one of us is with your pup at all times! It is at a higher cost. Our home is a pet-friendly space, every room has truly gone to the dogs! We welcome dogs of all sizes into our home with open arms and hearts! Whether your fur baby is a tiny Chihuahua or a giant Great Dane, they'll find a cozy spot here! Pups in our home enjoy daily walks in the nearby parks and interactive playtime. We also have a doggy treadmill for those pups who love to run! Regular updates will be sent your way! Your dog won't just be taken care of; they'll be loved as if they were our own! About: I love my dogs and I would like to pamper yours in the comfort of their own home during a drop in visit or a four hour day visit. I have 27 years of experience with canines and raised my pup into the dog as seen in the black and white photo. I had a senior dog of his breed years ago. I can do basic training, if you wish, with positive methods: sit, drop, shake, down, stay, etc. I will feed your dog or puppy as per your instructions. Playtime is always a good time when I am around! We have our doggy spa days every 5 weeks: nails, a bath, & a cookie or two. Nap time is at 3PM at home. Cookies/treats are given for training and are a positive reinforcement method. Within the past year, I crate trained my older dog, so that she would go potty outside. She started to forget what to do. I have a fence at my home. My dogs love the fresh air and to chase after the occasional ball. My Polish Hound uses a probiotic in his food for his sensitive stomach. My older Staffie occasionally likes her "special" food. So, I sometimes add a Milo's meatball to her food. Simparica Trio keeps them healthy and happy.

About: Hi, I am a volunteer EMT and have a life long passion for dogs and all animals. On my spare time, my wife (Melinda) and I enjoy various aspects of the outdoors, no matter the season. We frequently pet sit for my brother-in law's German Shepard, who is full of energy, of which I have learned all the commands and public interaction techniques. This has been ongoing for approximately the past 4 years. * Melinda and I extensively clean and disinfect our house not only before and after each dog but also on a regular basis as well. About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs and animals my entire life, from my own pets to those of cousins, friends, and neighbors. For over 15 years, I’ve been the go-to person to feed, bathe, walk, and love on dogs of all kinds. I have cared for a senior dog through his final years with patience and compassion, and now I’m raising and training a playful new puppy, giving me firsthand experience with both ends of the journey. I treat every animal like family, because I truly believe they deserve all the love and care in the world. About: I have had dogs my entire life. My current dog, Koda, is a 75 pound rescue that required alot of training. I worked with professionals for months learning techniques to help him. I also walk him every day so I can handle large dogs. I promise he won't be too jealous when he smells your dog ;) I currently have a very flexible work schedule, and can make your schedule work for me! I would prefer to be done by around 5pm on weekdays. I love all dogs, and will treat your dog as if it were my own. You can be confident your dog is getting the care it needs and deserves in my presence.

About: Hi, my name's Anna! I'm a huge fan of both dogs and cats, as well as most other animals. I've been around dogs for my whole life, from Chihuahuas to Saint Bernards. Currently my family owns a Labradoodle but prior to that we had a Portuguese Water Dog. I've taken care of all sorts of animals for friends and neighbors, like cats, dogs, fish, chameleons, and more. I was on my high school's track team so I'm happy to run with dogs that need that over a walk. I am very good with dogs that have a harder time warming up to new people, my own dog gets very nervous even just going for walks sometimes, so I know many strategies to help dogs feel more comfortable. Additionally, I do have experience with older dogs that may need special care. I love all kinds of dogs, but I definitely have a soft spot for pit bulls and any type of sheepdog. I also love cats and really understand the difference in care they need when compared to dogs. I have a full time job, but I don't always work standard hours, so I'm happy to hang out with your pets during the workday when they need some extra attention! I have experience with dogs of all sizes, so I feel comfortable in tons of different situations. I feel comfortable crating dogs, adapting to dogs' specialized dietary needs and more. I've also been working with Rover on and off since I was in high school, so I'm very familiar with the app and the safety features they provide

About: I am reliable and flexible. I have taken care pets including dogs, cats, reptiles, and fish my whole life. I currently have one dog and two cats.I also have a sixty five gallon fish tank where I have tropical fish. I have had to bottle feed and take care of special needs animals. I am a recently retired school teacher and I am available all day. I have reliable transportation and I am very flexible with my time.my day starts off feeding playing with and walking my pets. Through out the day includes playing ball and swimming with my dog. We eat dinner go out to play one more time before bed. I understand routines are very important for our pets.
