“John is easygoing and passionate about pet care. Based on our initial meeting I had no reservations about his ability to manage drop-in visits with my cat. While I was away, he provided detailed reports on each visits with photos to document their activities together. John clearly made the effort to bond with my cat and show him the affection he desperately craves while I’m away. I will certainly invite John to return in the future.”

About: I own a Husky mix named Prisma who is turning 3 this year. She is quite energic and also epileptic. She is my daily experience. However I have sat for dog a bit bigger and much smaller! That includes Shihztus, Rottweilers, Golden Retrievers, Corgis, and Border Collies. I'm patient and responsible. My goal in any work field, but especially with your loved ones and possessions, is being reliable and communicating. This is what I find in my experience to be key for providing the best care and peace of mind. I work full time as a receptionist Mon - Fri, 8 to 4:30. This provides a lot of morning visits and overnight potential. Evening walks would works great as well. For specific requests, I can even dip into PTO to make the right situation work if a mid day visit is required during the work week. My Saturdays and Sundays are fully open at this time. I'm very patient and observant when interacting with pets of different personalities. Once informed on how you'd like your loved one to be cared for, I will do so in that manner. An obvious statement, but you'd be surprised how important that is to be said. If unsure or uncertain of care, we can brainstorm together as well to make sure I'm the correct sitter for the job.
“My diabetic cat with urinary problems was required to take 2 types of medicine, daily. My left paralysis handicap made that impossible for me to do. Ona eased my panic. She was on time, daily and gave him both medicines as professionally as a vet would do, and encouraged him as only an animal lover knows how to do. He loved her. Ona is a kind, personable person. I would trust giving her a key for the vacation, I’m going to go on, shortly. She ”checks off all the boxes”, of someone you’d want to take care of your pets. Thank you, Ona!!!”

“Nicole is great! She kept is well informed on how the dogs were doing, and they were happy and at ease when we returned from our trip! I recommend Nicole for sure!”

About: In highschool I was very popular in my neighborhood from doing there dog nails, to dog sitting, over night stays, and even medications. Even back in high school I had a part time and school and still made sure the fur babies were taken care of. To this day I still dog sit for my neighbor. I also worked at a doggy daycare for about 6 months then i moved, I learned so much while I was there in that short period of time from learning to gain respect and how to control a group of 15+ dogs . And was in a animal science program in highschool with a mentorship at a clinic, then tried to go to college for my vet tech degree but too expensive(still paying that off). I also do have a very energetic German shepherd who I train every day she knows pretty much everything(sit, lay down, roll over, paw, other paw, high five, spin, heel, center, look, leave it, back up, and wait). I also dog sat for my boyfriend's coworker who had an older pointer who had a seziure not only did I comfort the dog but I called owner asap then vet, I then called off of work. Just because it's not my animal doesn't mean I will love them any less. But the take away from all that is I have a lot of experience in the animal department. I'm currently working part time and have a lot of free time on my hands and love being around animals . I only work wensday-saturday the other days I'm free. But as you can see with my profile I do have my own fur baby but my boyfriend never works nights or weekends so she won't be alone. For the pets at clients housing not only will I respond to you text asap even if I'm busy, I will also ask for guide lines and try to keep your dog on the schedule you have them on consistency is key, especially when a change like you leaving happens. I also am a big over thinker so before I let the dog out if you have a yard I will always make sure the gates are close and secure and make sure there's nothing laying out that would harm them. When I dog sit I imagine as if it's my own dog.
“Sarah was so amazing with my dog and cat! She truly made me feel so at ease leaving them for the weekend. She is very attentive and will do whatever she can to make sure your pets are happy and cozy. I will definitely rebook her next time I need a sitter!!!”

“Aimee did a great job taking care of my cat while I was away on vacation. I could tell that he was very comfortable with her through all of the cute pictures and updates. I'll definitely be looking to book with her again in the future!”

About: I've taken care of all kinds of dogs for a good portion of my life. I have lots of experience with lots of different breeds and ages. I've also cared extensively with seniors. I'm currently working part-time so I'll have plenty of time to help care for your pets. I am also available for walks. I am an avid lover of Webster especially! But, I can travel up to 10 miles! From drop-in visits, to caring for your dog at my home which has a fenced in yard, or taking your dog for walks. I also have a dog of my own.

“Baela did a great job taking care of my two cats! One of them is a little bit difficult and needed medication, and she took care of it no problem. My cats were happy when I got home, and everything was in order. Baela communicated very well before and during my trip. I would definitely recommend Baela and would use her again next time I go out of town.”

About: I've had pets in the house for as long as I can remember! Growing up we had dogs of all sizes, cats, turtles, tortoises, fish, and frogs. I have experience with dogs of all breeds and sizes, from Yorkies to Rottweilers, and love them all. I currently have one cat named Olive, and plan to adopt a dog once I'm able to move to a larger space. I'm ready to take care of anything your pet needs - bathroom breaks, cat litter scooping, cleaning up accidents, refreshing water and food, play time, brushing, oral medication, etc. I'm currently working from home a few times per week, so I have a lot more flexibility in terms of scheduling pet care and walks. Summer weekends are typically busy, but if I'm in town I'm happy to help you out. I will always care for your animals as if they were my own. My goal is to make them as comfortable as possible, especially during the first meeting. I'm always on alert for changes in body language and behaviors that may let me know their comfort level. Every pet is different, but I can guarantee that I will treat each as the very best girl/boy there is.
About: I love dogs! I've had dogs since I was a kid, so basically have been around them and taking care of them for my whole life. I am good with nail trims and baths as well! My schedule is pretty open. I have a car as well, so getting there wont be an issue. I work at wegmans part time, so i have plenty of free time! I have a little dog and a bearded dragon. Both house trained (yes the dragon poops in the yard lol) i usually walk dogs 3-5 times a day depending on how often they wanna go. I keep nails trimmed and stuff myself as well.

About: I make time to care for dogs on my free time and love to make them feel special. I help busy hardworking owners feel relieved when they can work and know that their dog is in good hands. I am a student that is currently studying full time at my apartment and am available to schedule dog care. I am very organized and am able to set time for studying and pet care and play time. I can play with them and give them enrichment. I can pet them to soothe them. I can encourage drinking water to keep them healthy. I am very vocal when it comes to encouraging and letting pets know they are doing something well.

About: New to Rover! I have 20+ years, like most of you, taking care of dogs (all ages & size) walking, training & loving. Raised in Rochester & know all the best parks & trails. I have an SUV and don’t mind taking the dogs places if requested. Night shift worker during the week, I make lots of time for my puppy at home and would love to make time for your dog during the day. I’m available all days of the week, unfortunately that doesn’t mean I’m available all the time but can make time each day of the week if necessary. Just reach out, your odds are high that I can help I know how important pets are to everyone’s family and will treat yours like you do at home, or better :) Learning your dogs behavior is a key to success, the more information the better (behavior around dogs, people, children, chewing, barking) to know if they are acting different in any way. I get excited each time I meet new parents of dogs, i wouldn’t trust some nobody with my dog unless I got to know them first, I am in my mid twenties and have lived in pittsford/penfield for most of life, I do not drink if that matters to you, I’d say based off appearance I look pretty clean unless it’s cold out then you may only be seeing what’s visible under my hood or hat. I’m well educated in the do’s and don’ts on what is safe and unsafe for dogs and puppies to accidentally eat. Coming from a family that has dealt with Lyme Disease I take precaution in where my dogs are roaming, and always checking my puppy and past dogs constantly for ticks
About: I have taken care of dogs of many sizes, my own being 110lbs so i do have a lot of experience walking large & reactive dogs. I have also walked a cat! Experienced with picky eaters and medications as well. I like to go on longer walks to let the pups explore a little, but shorter walks are fine too! I love sitting cats, as I grew up with them and have my own now. I am a school-based OT, so I available for drop ins and walks throughout the week usually late afternoon. I am available to the Spencerport area for short mid-day walks or drop ins during the week. I can easily care for your animal in their own environment, ensuring their safety while providing fun and quality care for them. Whether they prefer a long walk, the couch, or a crate, I am happy to provide company, pets, a friendly face for them.
About: 2 years ago, my dog was diagnosed with Addison's disease which requires a monthly vet visit and daily pill. I work 10 minutes from home and look forward to visiting my dog on my lunch break. If your dog is looking for company, consider boarding with me! I’ve got a dog of my own who could use a friend while I’m at work! It would be a pleasure for me to look after these important members of your family. I will be sure to send you many pictures and notes! I work full time M-F, however if you’re in my radius I would love to provide drop in visits during my lunch break during the week. If you would like me to board your pet, let’s chat! If you’re boarding with me, your dog must be friendly with young children (I have a 2.5 year old & 1 year old) and will be spending the day with my dog, Brinlee! I keep my own dog on leash and if we are comfortable meeting other dogs, I always ask the other owner first only if I know my dog is okay with it! My dog is welcome on my bed at night and sits on the couch next to me. If I’m caring for your pet, it’s important that I pass the sniff test. Let’s set up a meet and greet!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Brighton
Alexandra was absolutely amazing! She was very responsive and so patient with my parent anxiety as a dog dad. She took a bunch of really nice photos of my dog Rusty and is very attentive to any request (e.g. removing Rusty’s bark collar prior to taking him to daycare). I’m very grateful for the wonderful care she provided for Rusty!

We are super thankful Matt was available to care for our anxious half fox/ half rabbit (chihuahua mix) and grey tabby and send us photos of our babies during our week long vacay out of state. Canelo quickly warmed up to Matt and was happy to make a new friend. Matt went the extra mile by cleaning up some unwanted ants, offering to take out the trash, and buying food when we ran low. I most definitely recommend him!

Jessica took amazing care of our dog while he has been recovering from a vestibular issue, and not feeling his best. She was responsible, attentive, learned about his unique condition, and kept in touch with updates throughout the day. She did a great job and I highly recommend her. .

Baela was great with my dog Simba! She is friendly and clearly has a natural way with animals. My dog is very anxious around new people, Baela was patient with him and he warmed up to her after their time together. I appreciated her communication and the updates she sent during the visit. Would definitely book her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
