With my own two cats, two guinea pigs, regularly fostering through several local animal shelters, and pet sitting, I have plenty of experience caring for a wide variety of animals, each with their own needs and quirks. Fostering in particular has provided me with extensive experience in caring for animals with special medical needs and/or behavioral issues - including (but not limited to!) animals with broken bones, diabetes, parasites, that are extremely underweight, that are extremely anxious, that are recovering from major surgery, young animals, senior animals, all sorts of animals -- and I have loved every second of it. Also a pro at trimming nails, giving baths, and loading fractious cats into carriers.

Caroline was great! Had her come by twice a day for 4 days while I was out of state to check on my two cats, an almost 6 year old orange female and an almost 1 year old black male. She always provided really good updates and took some of my new favorite pictures of my babies. My orange female is a bit aloof and hissy with new people, but she even warmed up to Caroline after a couple days. My little guy loved playing with her and she said he was always super friendly and sweet and friendly and just wanted all the pets. There was even one day Caroline was going to be late for the PM visit due to an expected circumstance outside her control, and she communicated that promptly. Which I really appreciated. Would definitely book with her again!
Caroline always does a fantastic job of taking care of my kitties! She is very reliable, and I appreciate that she was available on relatively short notice. They enjoy hanging out with her, she makes sure to give them each lots of attention and treats, shares great photos, and they are very happy and well taken care of!

Schedule
I work full time (8-5), but am always free to swing by before work, on my lunch break, and after work. I'm free weekends as well.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a large, two bedroom apartment, plus two very friendly cats of my own for company. If your cat is particularly shy or antisocial, I usually keep my cats separate to allow the your cat to have a stress-free stay. There are multiple litter boxes throughout the apartment, several drinking fountains throughout the house, plenty of cat toys and entertainment, and both wet and dry food options (plus treats, of course).

A typical day
While I no longer am able to board dogs in my own home, when I house-sit, walk, or am doing a drop-in visit, I usually try to stick to the routine that has been provided to me by the owner, taking special note of what each dog's favorite activity is.
