With my own two cats, two guinea pigs, regularly fostering through several local animal shelters, and pet sitting, I have plenty of experience caring for a wide variety of animals, each with their own needs and quirks. Fostering in particular has provided me with extensive experience in caring for animals with special medical needs and/or behavioral issues - including (but not limited to!) animals with broken bones, diabetes, parasites, that are extremely underweight, that are extremely anxious, that are recovering from major surgery, young animals, senior animals, all sorts of animals -- and I have loved every second of it. Also a pro at trimming nails, giving baths, and loading fractious cats into carriers.

Caroline is fantastic! I felt completely at ease while out of town knowing she was checking in on my fur babies each day. During her visits, she was very attentive and loving. She also provided exceptional updates and photos after each visit. Lastly, she spent the entire 30 mins with my cats, as booked. I've booked 30 min visits with other Rovers in the past that only stayed long enough to feed and take a few photos of my cat before so the fact that Caroline stayed for the entire 30 mins really meant a lot. I can't recommend her enough! I will definitely rebook with her.
My 16 year old cat was under the weather over our vacation and Caroline went above and beyond helping with the issue.

Caroline was a great sitter for my cat, Willie. Although he was cranky and missing his regular routines while we were out of town, Caroline took excellent care of him and wrote us detailed reports for every visit. Would book again!

Schedule
I work full time (8-5), but am always free to swing by before work, on my lunch break, and after work. I'm free weekends as well.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a large, two bedroom apartment, plus two very friendly cats of my own for company. If your cat is particularly shy or antisocial, I usually keep my cats separate to allow the your cat to have a stress-free stay. There are multiple litter boxes throughout the apartment, several drinking fountains throughout the house, plenty of cat toys and entertainment, and both wet and dry food options (plus treats, of course).

A typical day
While I no longer am able to board dogs in my own home, when I house-sit, walk, or am doing a drop-in visit, I usually try to stick to the routine that has been provided to me by the owner, taking special note of what each dog's favorite activity is.
