“Caroline is amazing. Takes great care of my cat's always and they love her. She also was understanding when my trip had to be unexpectedly cut short. Incredibly grateful! I wish the app let me tip more than 30% because she absolutely deserves it”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was young, and have my own cat now! I am able to care for pets of all ages, and can administer medication when needed. I’m currently a teacher on summer break, so my schedule is quite flexible. I am able to do drop-ins or extended time during your busy summer months! I will visit your pet in their own safe space and ensure they receive the very best care in their home environment. I can walk your dog in your neighborhood or take them to their favorite park.

About: I have had dogs in my life since I was born really my father always and still has 2 dogs which I help with as well still, I have dog sat numerous times two Boston terriers and two cats for a lovely family I currently have complete open availability that includes weekends as well. Taking some time off from work and sitting home doing gets boring really quick and I couldn’t think of a better way to spend my time then to hangout with some animals 🤗 My house wouldn’t be suitable for housing pets due to having my own and it’s a shared house with my sister and her children as well
“Suzanne was a great communicator and reliable! I appreciated the pictures and videos and most importantly felt that my animals were being well taken care of! Would use again!”

About: I've had pets in the house for as long as I can remember! Growing up we had dogs of all sizes, cats, turtles, tortoises, fish, and frogs. I have experience with dogs of all breeds and sizes, from Yorkies to Rottweilers, and love them all. I currently have one cat named Olive, and plan to adopt a dog once I'm able to move to a larger space. I'm ready to take care of anything your pet needs - bathroom breaks, cat litter scooping, cleaning up accidents, refreshing water and food, play time, brushing, oral medication, etc. I'm currently working from home a few times per week, so I have a lot more flexibility in terms of scheduling pet care and walks. Summer weekends are typically busy, but if I'm in town I'm happy to help you out. I will always care for your animals as if they were my own. My goal is to make them as comfortable as possible, especially during the first meeting. I'm always on alert for changes in body language and behaviors that may let me know their comfort level. Every pet is different, but I can guarantee that I will treat each as the very best girl/boy there is.
About: Hello there ! My name is Grace and I am 25 years old living in Rochester NY and love all animals! I worked for Lollipop farm for about a year as an adoption counselor but decided to part ways with the career as I’ve found other hobbies. But since then I’ve always found my way back with fostering and animal sitting for friends and family. I’d love to extend the love to your furry friend too! I can’t wait to meet your animals and give them all the love! So I work full time right now but the hours aren’t the same each week but I’m always free before 9AM and the latest 9PM. So it all depends on the animals needs. I try to have them get use to my scent first, give them attention, and make sure to ask the owner as many questions as needed to make the situation easier for the animal. Since I would be someone new.
“Angelina is absolutely fabulous! She's friendly and our dog loves her. She's always punctual and really cares about doing a good job. We're so glad we found her. We very highly recommend her!”

“Lauren has been amazing with my puppy! He warmed up to her right away! Lauren asked all the right questions and made me feel comfortable and I knew I could trust her right away. I will definitely be asking Lauren to watch him again!”

About: Dog dad to two dogs, Archie and Minnie. I work from home full time so your dog is never left alone. I take one guest dog at a time to ensure personalized attention. Thank you! I work from home full time, so your dog is never left alone during the day. I'm available for walks and drop-in visits on weekends and select weekdays. I keep my schedule light - one dog at a time - so every pup gets my full attention. I have two friendly resident dogs, Archie and Minnie, who love meeting new friends. I require a meet and greet before every first booking so dogs can get comfortable. Your dog will be treated like family - not just another booking.
“Morgan was amazing with our kitties! She went above ad beyond taking care of them during the holidays, and they loved getting pets and playing with her. She was very responsive, communicative and accommodating. 100% recommend!”

“Jess is very reliable and professional when caring for my dog. Most of all she is willing to be flexible if something comes up and I need to make a schedule change. Great work Jess!”
About: A recent graduate of the Eastman School of Music, I'm currently playing with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra as a flutist! I've been missing my spunky dog Kora who lives back home and have always grown up with dogs, which is why I've been a sitter for Rover since I moved here in 2021. I love going for walks/runs, just hanging out, or lying next to my fireplace at home-- hopefully your dog loves some of these too! I've been taking care of dogs in total for around 15 years now, so I'm used to taking them out fairly frequently, getting up early for a morning walk, and bathing them. I am more than happy to take your dogs on a walk or watch them in my apartment, and make sure they're well-fed, have time to play, and are happy while you can go about your day :) I've raised my dog Kora from puppyhood and am very familiar with the training required for puppies. I have also fostered a handful of dogs (small dogs and one large dog) over the last few years and have experienced shy dogs who take some time to come out of their shells :) As a musician, I have a few hours here and there scattered throughout my day that I can walk or stop by/watch your pup. I'm a very active person and love being outside! I am more than happy to be outside/in your home with them as well! I unfortunately cannot house your furry friends because of my housing situation.

“Hannah it was a great choice to have you sit for my 3 fur babies! They enjoyed your attention and were quite charming/ naughty too. The pictures spoke volumes and were ensuring. They have some more training to do. Thank you again! ???”

“Anais did a phenomenal job watching out puppies while we were on vacation. She worked with our wants/needs and handled our crazy pups like a pro. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for someone to walk or sit their dogs.”

About: Certainly a lover of all animals, but I'm mostly definitely a dog person!! I have cared for my own jack russell for the past several years, but had to leave her with my parents since my original apartment did not allow pets. Now, however, I’m in a pet friendly area and have my own pit mix named Buddy! He is a rescue so new introductions need to move slowly, but once he gets to know you he will love you unconditionally! We are looking for a walker to come between 11:30-1 on weekdays to walk him for a half hour. I’m happy to do a run through walk with you to make sure you’re comfortable and ready to take on The Bud Man. Let me know if you’re interested! I work full time as a teacher but am available mid-late afternoons, weekends and holidays. For summer I am looking for full time dog care jobs! I typically don’t have my dog around other dogs for safety precautions. Depending on the clients preferences, I can frequently let your pets out for potty breaks, take them out on leashes during potty breaks, feed them, administer medical care as needed, and give them lots of loving.
About: I have worked for several vet offices, volunteered at animal shelters, and currently help with a local rescue. I have completed a CGC certification, compete in agility trials with my Lab mix, and am comfortable with all breeds. My volunteer experience also includes a dog daycare. My background includes bathing and grooming, nail trims, housetraining, obedience, tricks, medication, and senior care. I have a large fenced yard and my dog is friendly with all furry visitors. I understand animals feel most comfortable with their routine and am dedicated to following instructions to make them feel at ease. I am also open and honest with all communication to support a reliable working relationship. I look forward to helping you care for an important part of your family.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Irondequoit
Jessica was amazing and everything we hoped for. She filled in for someone who bailed on watching my dog last minute, over a holiday break none less! My senior dog can be very shy, by the second day Jessica had her opened up and acting herself. Before I left for my trip, my dog was doing some butt scooting on carpet, a vet visit turned into additional meds for the week as pre caution. This made me nervous as I would be away. Jessica was very understanding and went with the flow, doing anything that was needed for my baby girl including giving additional medication. I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing she was in great hands. 10/10 would book again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
