About: Hi, I'm Tom! I've spent over four decades living with and loving animals and I've never lost that "avid" spark for a day spent with a dog. I'm an active person who genuinely enjoys being outdoors, so if your dog has energy to burn, they've met their match! I truly enjoy working with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and ages. Whether it's a slow, gentle stroll for a senior pup, a playful walk for a growing puppy, or a high energy trek for a large breed, I adapt my pace to meet your dog's specific needs. While i love the little guys, i also am more than capable of handling the "gentle giants" and strong pullers with confidence and care. I'm well-versed in using various walking gear, from standard leashes to front-clip harness, ensuring every dog stays safe and controlled regardless of their size. Whether its's a brisk neighborhood power-walk or exploring local trails like Durand Eastman or Lucien Morin Park, (two of my dog's favorites) I tailor every outing to your dog's fitness level. I'm not just there to "do the job"-I'm there to make sure your pup gets the physical exercise and mental stimulation they need to be happy and tired by the time they get home. I pride myself on being punctual and highly communicative. You can expect plenty of updates and photos of our adventures. I treat every dog with the same care and attention I give my own, prioritizing their safety above all else. I am comfortable administering first aid or any medications if ever needed. I'm available every day from 11 am - 3 pm Dog walking: 30 or 60 minute neighborhood strolls. Drop in visits: Short check-ins for feeding, potty breaks, or playtime in client's home. Pet Taxi: Adventure Excursions: for trips to the groomer, vet, and daycare. Doggy Shuttle: Solo or group hikes and adventures at some of our fine local parks Senior and Medical Care: Medication administration (pills or injections) and gentle strolls with backup wagon assist if needed. Puppy specialized care: Frequent short visits tailored for training and socialization needs of dogs under one year old. No extra charge for basic feeding or oral medication administration... Safety is my top priority, and I take a proactive approach to ensure every pet in my care is secure and comfortable. With over 40 yrs experience, I've learned that anticipation is key especially with large breeds. I am always vigilant about my surroundings and focused entirely on your dog. Gear check: I perform a thorough check of all leashes, collars, and harnesses before every walk to ensure they are in perfect working order. On-leash Only: For maximum safety, I keep all dogs on leash during our outings, even in off-leash areas, unless we are in a 100% secure, fenced in yard. Environmental awareness: I avoid interactions with unfamiliar dogs or people on walks to prevent any unpredictable situations. I am also highly mindful of the weather, ensuring paws are protected from hot pavement and that pups stay hydrated. Home Security: When entering and exiting your home, I use extra caution to prevent "door dashing." I treat your home with the same respect and care I give my own. After our visit or walk, i take a moment to send you a detailed "Report Card." You'll get a summary of our route, their behavior, and-of course- at least 2-3 great action shots from our time together. I treat every schedule with the same reliability I'd want for my own pets. Rochester weather can be unpredictable! For the safety of your pet, I may shorten walks during extreme heat (90+) or dangerous wind chills. In these cases, we will spend the remaining time playing indoors or doing mental enrichment challenges, so they still get their energy out. Depending on your specific dog's tolerances and needs...

About: I’ve been taking care of my own 2 cats for the past 3 years and I’ve grown up watching my family’s dogs. I also have experience in dog sitting and cat sitting - following specific directions, producing quality time and support for pets. I love going for walks, reading, and relaxing. About: Love to give dogs lots of attention and affection. Coupled with the ability to be stern if needed, I am able to take care of many types of dogs. I live an active life and will have no problem walking your dog as much as needed. I spent many years training and caring for our family dog. I have lived with roommates with dogs and had no issues caring for them even when the roommate was not away. While living with a roommate, they had their own rover account and I would help take care of any dog that would come over. About: Hi, I am a volunteer EMT and have a life long passion for dogs and all animals. On my spare time, my wife (Melinda) and I enjoy various aspects of the outdoors, no matter the season. We frequently pet sit for my brother-in law's German Shepard, who is full of energy, of which I have learned all the commands and public interaction techniques. About: I have taken care of neighbors dogs and my own dogs since I was as young as I can remember. I absolutely love active dogs! I currently am a college student and frequently take walks throughout the day to keep myself moving. I would love to walk your dog during this time too! About: PLEASE MAKE SURE ALL ANIMALS ARE KID FRIENDLY. I HAVE TWO CHILDREN AGES 9 AND 11 ! My name is Alexandra and am currently located in Rochester/Irondequoit area. I have grown up around all types of animals from cats to dogs, birds, reptiles and fish, even raising a puppy. The main animals I grew up around were both cats and dogs. In my past I have worked at an animal store and had some experience as a pet sitter also. I live with my daughter who is well behaved and also an animal lover. I presently only have two small caged cockatiel birds and am able to move them anywhere in the house if needed to provide more space or comfort for your pets. I am willing to work with other certain types of animals if interested please don’t hesitate to ask. I look forward to working together and meeting all of your animals! I am available Monday to Sunday and some holidays morning to night time (flexible schedule) and willing to work with you for extended times or days I provide a calm and quiet environment. My neighborhood is also quiet and calm when taken outside for walks or to go to the bathroom. I make sure they do not interact with other animals outside of my home and the animals I do have in my home are small and caged in a separate room where the door is always closed. I do not have any other dogs or cats and I do not board from different people at the same time.

About: I love pets of all sizes! I Have my own baby named S’mores who is just a little girl but have often helped out and dog-sat for my in-laws Rottweiler and my friend’s husky. I am a middle school teacher so my summers are free to take care and love your pets while you are not home! I am a middle school music teacher so I am open and available throughout the whole day to meet with your furry friend! Just let me know what you need! I am available to come over and walk, play, feed, or whatever else you may need! About: Dogs are my life, as I have three of my own. I cannot imagine my life without them. If you see me at a gathering, I’ll probably be on the floor, playing with or petting the dog. I love dogs and they really seem to like me too! I have trained all three of my dogs, so I am able to follow whatever training procedures you have in place. All of my friends and family members trust me with their fur babies because I treat them like they are my own. I am currently working part-time, so I am able to fit visits or walks in as needed. Afternoons are best, but if I am off on a weekday, or able to stop by before I head into work, I can do that too! I will do my best to follow your routine and procedures so that your pups can have a stress free experience. I am happy to play, sit with them for companionship, check on their water, feed and let out, and scoop poop.

About: I've owned cats my entire life. I've been around dogs for the majority of my life as well. I have dog and cat sat for many friends. I also had a recurring job as a dog sitter and daily dog walker for my high school principal. I currently have two cats of my own and my parents have a dog that I have also watched on many occasions. I've even been a cat sitter for a friend who fosters cats and that included taking care of 15 cats at once! I can also care for guinea pigs if need be. I've never watched bunnies, but with instruction from the owner, I can certainly care for them too. I can't care for snakes, sorry, they freak me out. I'm currently employed at a 9-5 job, but it's remote with flexible hours. I love playing with animals and am very good at tiring out energetic pups. If I'm pet sitting for you or walking your dog, you can trust that you'll get your money's worth and your pet will be cared for like it was my own fur-baby. Typically whoever I'm sitting for will let me know what kind of house "rules" or routines are done with their pets and I stick to those. Whether that's a specific walking route, only being allowed in certain rooms, not being allowed on the furniture, whatever. When it comes down to it, I want your pet to feel comfortable and happy even though they're favorite people (their family) aren't around.
