“Indigo had a great time with Rochelle and her family! They were easy to communicate with and sent us updates with photos. Rochelle was flexible when our return time changed a bit, which was much appreciated!”

“My dog settled in very well with Amy his first time there. She sent pictures And videos while he was there. This was comforting. I do recommend Amy and I would be happy taking my dog back when needed.”

“Both Kimberly and Chris were very easy to make arrangements with, and their two happy dogs are a great reference! I had peace of mind leaving Murphy there, and the photos Kimberly sent of the dogs hanging out were great. They are nice people that love animals and I think Murphy had a great time with them. They were also really accommodating in terms of working with our plans/needs, which was so helpful. ”

“Kasia is a SAINT - she watched our dog for 10 days, after he had recently had a procedure to have a growth removed. He had his cone, lots of medications, and was more uncomfortable than we had expected. She was so patient with him, help with tapering his meds over his recovering, transitioned him back to his normal food, and gave him lots of love. She was fantastic with updates too. We felt terribly putting this on her, but she handled it with grace and understanding. A true empath and dog lover. She is simply the best!”
“Lesley was phenomenal! She took River at the last minute and provided excellent care, including sending me multiple photos and videos each day so I could keep up with my pup. I was much less anxious about leaving her knowing she was in such great company. River seemed really relaxed, too, and Lesley was very knowledgeable, just taking everything in stride. Highly recommend this sitter.”

“Cara and Dan were great! Their care for my mini poodle was awesome, communication with them was easy plus they sent a few pictures. And their home and property seemed very clean and well kept.”

“Thomas was wonderful with our airedale terrier. He sent pictures and updates about their adventures. Our dog has food allergies and Thomas was able to make sure he did not come into contact with them. We will look forward to hiring him in the future.”

“This is a great family home for my dog -- she loved boarding here. Aaron take all your special needs and indulgences into consideration and provides plenty of play opportunities. Just what my little doodle needs!”

“I can't say enough about Marie and the great care she gives our little Chica. Chica is always excited when she sees Marie knowing she's going to be spoiled and get to ride in her doggie Uber lol. Marie is the best choice for our little girl!”

“Anthony and Jayson are amazing! Our girl is usually a little nervous at new places but they made her feel right at home! We got lots of updates and pictures while we were away and picked up a very happy pup! They are super easy to communicate with and we would not hesitate to have our girl stay with them again!”

“Jenn and her family were exceptional hosts for my Harlow's stay. Harlow was loved on and cared for as much as she is in her own home here with us. We don't often board Harlow, but will not hesitate to rebook with this lovely family.”

“I recently adopted a bunny and we were going away on vacation for a few days… we needed someone who was able to watch my her while we were gone. We had a very nice meet and greet with Julia and she was very flexible with where my rabbit would stay, as well as how much space she could roam around in. She offered a whole room, that would be gated at the door, for my bunny. Since the meet and greet went so well, we booked her for the days we would be traveling. She made sure there was a carpet for my bun’s feet so she wouldn’t be on the hardwood floor. She put baby plugs in the outlets so my bunny couldn’t get to them. I felt very comfortable leaving my bunny with Julia and her family, they were all very kind. They even put a camera in the room so when they weren’t with my bunny, they could always keep an eye on her. My bunny seemed very comfortable and happy with the situation and adjusted very well because of Julia’s hospitality. Julia offered everything she could to make sure my bunny had an amazing stay. We will definitely be booking Julia again!!”

About: What sets me apart is how much I genuinely love dogs — I don’t just care for them, I connect with them. I take time to understand each pup’s personality, routines, and quirks so they feel safe, comfortable, and loved just like they would at home. You can always count on me to show up, communicate clearly, and treat your dog with the same care and consistency I give my own. I pay attention to every detail — from feeding schedules to favorite toys — so you can truly relax knowing your dog is in great hands. I have had dogs my whole life! When I was 5 we rescued a greyhound and when she passed we got into fostering other grey hounds. When we found ourselves dog-less again, we discovered our little 9lb furry baby Paige from Lollypop farm — we still have her and she just had her 16th birthday. Since Paige we also adopted a Chi-weenie and a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix. I pride myself on being dependable, responsive, and proactive. I send regular updates, photos, and notes so you never have to wonder how your dog is doing. Your peace of mind (and your pup’s happiness) are my top priorities. I primarily work in the office during the week, but I do have the option to work from home — so if your pup needs a little extra time and attention, I can absolutely make that happen! I’ll never let a dog go more than 6–8 hours without care, but if your pup is used to more frequent potty breaks, I’ll make that a priority. I’m also primarily home on the weekends (I actually prefer to have no weekend plans!), which means I’ll have plenty of time to hang out with your bestie all day. 🐾 I’m pretty flexible and happy to adjust my schedule to fit your dog’s routine. Just communicate your expectations, and I’m confident we can work out a plan that keeps your pup happy, comfortable, and cared for. I live in a spacious 1,500 sq ft apartment — plenty of room for your pup to explore, play, and relax! While I don’t have a fenced yard, I make sure every dog gets plenty of outdoor time with frequent walks and potty breaks throughout the day. I don’t currently have any dogs of my own so your pup will have my full attention and the space all to themselves. However, if your dog enjoys the company of other pups, I’d be happy to introduce them to my mom’s 12lb rat terrier/chihuahua/dachshund mix — he’s a friendly little social butterfly who loves making new friends! I don’t currently own a crate, but I’m more than happy to get one if that helps your dog feel more comfortable. I have an abundance of toys for playtime and a ginormous couch perfect for snuggles, naps, and quality cuddle time with my furry guests. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities, and I treat every pup like my own while they’re here. ❤️
“Lauren and Justin took great care of our dog. They kept her on schedule for feedings and sent us photos a couple time each day. We will definitely use them again in the future!”

“Jose was so great with Truffle! She's a very senior Pomeranian, and I worry that she'll be too much, but she was very happy and enjoyed her stay with him. Jose was also super flexible about drop off and pick up times when our flight times got shifted, which was super kind of him.”
“Erika and her family were great with Parker while we were out of town for the week. She kept me updated with pictures and reassured me that he was settling in well and got along great with her other dogs. Erika is very thorough and took the time to make sure all questions were answered and any special needs were accommodated. We felt very comfortable leaving Parker with her and he had a great time and was well cared for! Thank you!”

Buddy had an excellent and comfortable time with Kevin and Kassie! From our meet and greet to drop and pick up, all transitions were seamless. Thank you so much for the pic updates and keeping my mind at ease while I was away. This was home away from home for Buddy. Much appreciated.

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
