About: New to Rover! I have 20+ years, like most of you, taking care of dogs (all ages & size) walking, training & loving. Raised in Rochester & know all the best parks & trails. I have an SUV and don’t mind taking the dogs places if requested. Night shift worker during the week, I make lots of time for my puppy at home and would love to make time for your dog during the day. I’m available all days of the week, unfortunately that doesn’t mean I’m available all the time but can make time each day of the week if necessary. Just reach out, your odds are high that I can help I know how important pets are to everyone’s family and will treat yours like you do at home, or better :) Learning your dogs behavior is a key to success, the more information the better (behavior around dogs, people, children, chewing, barking) to know if they are acting different in any way. I get excited each time I meet new parents of dogs, i wouldn’t trust some nobody with my dog unless I got to know them first, I am in my mid twenties and have lived in pittsford/penfield for most of life, I do not drink if that matters to you, I’d say based off appearance I look pretty clean unless it’s cold out then you may only be seeing what’s visible under my hood or hat. I’m well educated in the do’s and don’ts on what is safe and unsafe for dogs and puppies to accidentally eat. Coming from a family that has dealt with Lyme Disease I take precaution in where my dogs are roaming, and always checking my puppy and past dogs constantly for ticks

I’ve just returned home from the Disney college program and am off for the summer before I go back to college. I’m very flexible and available for whatever your needs might be any day of the week. I love my pets and their care is a very high priority. I’ll care for your pets as if they are my own and ensure they’re safely cared for while you are away.
About: I have owned two dogs and have lots of experience dog walking and dog sitting for dogs of all ages. I have been the sole care provider for my dog and have cared for her in all stages of life. I volunteer at Lollypop Farm as a dog worker and walk with dogs of all ages and sizes every week. I love spending time with each of the dogs and making sure they are well taken care of and feel loved. I work part time and remotely, so I have lots of flexibility and free time to spend with and care for your dog and to give them lots of attention. I can care for your dog at your home by creating a safe environment, showing your dog lots of care and love, and following specific instructions set aside for each individual pet.
“Aracely is doing a great job with our Goldendoodle, Luna! She’s on time, always walks her and refreshes her water among many other things. We appreciate her hard work and dedication!”

About: I have owned Dogs all my life. I believe that immediate recall is the most important tool for all Dog owners. I also believe in challenging Dogs brains with games like find it hide and seek. A tired Dog at the end of each day is a happy Dog. I exercise my Dog every day. I have a Doberman she is the start and end to my Day. With high energy Dogs they need lots of body and mind stimulation to maintain a healthy Dog . I treat each Dog as if they were my own. Well trained well exercised and most importantly immediate recall. If your Dog doesn’t have immediate recall when I meet them. They will the first time I watch them. To me that is the most significant training tool for every Dog owners including myself.
About: I've been watching animals for as long as I can remember, starting with my babysitters dogs and cats when I was young. Then as I got older I would help out neighbors, family friends, and just family and friends as well. Every dog or cat has different instructions on how to care for them, some need more attention than others and have other needs that are more than just the minimum so I've seen and had to help out in different ways. I am working full time but I am currently working from home! I have realized that going and helping out my family and other people when I can has really kept my heart full. My current situation doesn't allow me to have a pet of my own so having a little time to bond and give some love with another animal is awesome. I will not be able to house your dog in my own home, but any rules that you have for your fur baby I will be able to accomplish with them. If there is a certain routine you follow I will do my best to follow it as best I can and have it so that the animal doesn't feel out of place.
About: I have had dogs my entire life. My current dog, Koda, is a 75 pound rescue that required alot of training. I worked with professionals for months learning techniques to help him. I also walk him every day so I can handle large dogs. I promise he won't be too jealous when he smells your dog ;) I currently have a very flexible work schedule, and can make your schedule work for me! I would prefer to be done by around 5pm on weekdays. I love all dogs, and will treat your dog as if it were my own. You can be confident your dog is getting the care it needs and deserves in my presence.
About: I have had animals my whole life and have a passion and love for them. Getting to take care and play with them on my days off is a joy. I have had pets that range from a Mastiff to French Bulldogs and even reptiles of all kinds. In my younger years I was a dog groomer as well so I have experience with many dogs from many backgrounds. I will treat your animals with the same love and care that I treat my own. I currently have a small zoo of 14 pets, each one very loved and cared for. I am comfortable with all animals. I have experience with dogs, cats, birds, small rodents and reptiles. I am willing to work with dogs that have special needs or medical care as well. My nursing background helps me to carry it over to your furry friends. I will show as much care and compassion to your furry companions as I do my patients. They will have my focus and attention while caring for them. I work as a gas station clerk Fri-Sun from 3-1030. Otherwise I am free for your pet. I also have to make sure I can get public transportation to work as well I make sure to treat your fur babies like my own. They will get as much love an attention possible. I love to keep you updated with daily messages and pictures. I would be willing to do things you need around the house while you are gone such as bringing in mail, taking out garbage bins, watering plants, and making sure your home is the same as you left it!

About: Hi! I’ve had dogs/numerous other pets my entire life and I couldn’t imagine a home without them. As an adult, I’ve even raised a puppy, which gave me firsthand experience with training, patience, and consistency. Along with dogs and cats, I’ve also cared for multiple other pets over the years, so I understand that every animal has their own unique personality and needs. I’ve been the go-to pet sitter for family, friends, and neighbors, etc. Whether it’s walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply keeping their routine consistent while you’re away, I’ll make sure your furry family member feels safe, loved, and happy. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, so communication and reliability are always my top priorities. I’d love the chance to give your pet the same love and attention I give my own. 🐶 Because I work from home, pet care naturally fits into my day to day. Having a flexible schedule allows me to provide consistent attention, frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, and snuggles throughout the day. I’m able to adjust my work around your pet’s needs, whether that means sticking to a feeding schedule, giving extra exercise, or simply being present so they’re never lonely. Caring for pets isn’t just something I “fit in”—it’s a part of my everyday life and something I truly enjoy. Whether in your home or mine, I stick to your pet’s routine and give them lots of love, care, and attention. Your pet will always be treated like family!
“I can’t say enough good things about Steph. She does a midday check-in for our 1 yo Australian shepherd a few days a week and he absolutely loves her. He can be a little particular about who he decides is part of the pack and Steph was able to warm him up very quickly, no doubt due to her extensive experience with animals. Steph’s communication is excellent, she’s willing to tailor her service to our dog’s needs and I have total peace of mind leaving our fur baby in her hands because she’s proven to be capable and dependable. She’s even brought one of her dogs and/or kids along sometimes to help us socialize him because I mentioned he struggled with those things. 10/10 would recommend booking Steph.”

“Ashley was awesome and will definitely use her again. My dog gets nervous when I leave, but I could tell he was happy as can be with Ashley. She's very reliable and trustworthy and highly recommend her!”

“Rico is the best - our dogs love him! He's reliable, kind, and takes the best pictures of our furbabies. We're very grateful to have his help and highly recommend him!”

“Kitty was very loving ,thoughtful and thorough with our fur baby Simba. He automatically took to her which is not the norm he is a little skittish. We were so grateful of the daily updates with pics. I will definitely use Kitty help again. She provided excellent service. We would recommend her to any fur parents. ☺️????”

About: My husband and I grew up with dogs and cats, there was never a time we didn't have a loyal furry companion during our childhood. As adults we now have two dogs and two boys (7 and 9). We are an active family who love to be outside throwing the ball for our dogs or hiking in the woods. We will treat your dog as our own from morning cuddles after breakfast to running around the backyard and walks surrounding our home to evening cuddles on the couch when we chill and watch a movie. Our children are in love with dogs as much as we are and will love meeting new furry faces. I am a lover of creatures both large and small and will treat your dog as my own with the utmost care and compassion. I am comfortable administering oral medication. I have a very open schedule as I work from home only a few days a week. Our schedule is very flexible. I work a few hours a week and my husband also works from home, we walk our dogs multiple times a day and make sure they are mentally stimulated, rarely left alone. We have a large yard that is fully fenced and go out with the dogs every time they are let out to watch how they interact. I work in the office Tuesdays and Thursdays but am flexible every other day of the week, I could stop by for a drop in any Monday, Wednesday or Friday 8 am - 8 pm or before 7 am and after 4:30 pm on Tuesdays or Thursdays. I can stay at your house any day of the week, just know I will be at work from 7:30 - 4:30 Tues and Thurs. Saturday and Sundays are very flexible. We have a fenced yard at home so we let our dogs out to use the bathroom multiple times a day. We play frisbee with our boxer mix and walk our little dog daily. In addition we play treat games (running up and down the stairs, playing hide and seek) and provide mental games (licki mats and slow feeder bowls) on a regular basis. Our pets are allowed on our furniture but I will respect your rules in your home.
Fairport dog parents share their Rover experiences
Christine did such a good job. She took great care of Rusty and sent photos throughout our time away. She was responsive whenever I messaged her about anything. Our house was just as clean as we left it. All of our furbabies seemed to really like her and enjoy all the pets and snuggles they got while we were gone. We hope she will be available again when we go out of town.

Sara was great with our furbabies. Our dog Ruaty went for lots of walks and had plenty of playtime. She also took initiative and adjusted the times based on Rusty's needs, took him for walks early on before the weather got too hot, and reached out with questions or any issues that came up. Sara sent photos and updates after each visit and was always responsive when I reached out. We hope to use Sara again when we go away.
