As a Fear Free Certified animal care professional, I use low-stress handling techniques and adapt my approach to each pet's individual personality and needs. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, or has special behavioral or medical considerations, I'm committed to providing calm, compassionate care. I'll always follow your care instructions closely and keep your pet's routine as consistent as possible while you're away. You can also expect regular updates and photos, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. I require an in-home meet and greet with all new dog friends to make sure they're comfortable with me entering their space while you're away.

I've had animals my entire life, with my first pet being a rabbit named Angel! For the past three years, I've worked professionally in animal care, gaining experience with dogs of all ages, temperaments, and medical needs. I'm also experienced in caring for a variety of small animals, including rabbits, rodents, reptiles, and birds in both a professional and personal setting. I am Fear-Free certified and have an in-depth understanding of canine body language and regularly work with dogs that have handling sensitivities, food or resource guarding behaviors, and stranger or dog reactivity. My experience also includes working in zoological settings, and I currently care for dogs, cats, and small animals in an animal shelter. I have a deep respect for every animal I meet and strive to provide compassionate, attentive care to everyone—from the tiniest mouse to the largest Great Dane. Reptiles hold a special place in my heart, so you can trust that I'll love and care for your scaly babies as if they were my own!

Anica is a kind and caring person who has always had such a love and passion for all animals. She is always excited about meeting new friends and learning more about them no matter how big or small they are. From caring for her own families pets, to volunteering and interning at zoos, to working full time in a shelter with dogs I’ve never seen her passion dim or diminish even a little, she’s always excited to show off all the animals she’s met and talk about how sweet and loving they are even when they’ve had a rough history. She truly believes that all animals deserve love, care, and understanding and does her best to provide them with the same attention and concern that she would her own pets. I can’t think of anyone else I would trust more to care for my pets.
I would highly recommend Anica for caring for your dog, small animal or snake/reptile. Anica has a good sense about all animals and treats them with love kindness and respect. Anica is good at reading body language of dogs as well. Anica also has a calming presence about her just being near dogs. She understands what it means love and to have a fur baby because she has one of her own and would protect them to the best of her ability. Dogs and small animals are Anicas happy place !! Your pet would be in the best hands ! And Anica is a lovely human being !
