Availability
Pet care was my full-time job in college and graduate school. Since I became a teacher, my schedule has allowed me to live in both Manhattan/UES and Rochester, NY during different times of the year, and I am continuing to offer pet care services year-round in both locations! I am in Rochester during all major holidays and during my summers off. Upcoming Rochester services: June 28th - September 1st

Safety, trust & environment
I will always treat your home and your pets with the utmost respect. I check to make sure that the water bowls are full, pups are secured in a crate, baby gate, etc. if instructed, and kitties are away from the door before I exit your home and lock up. I am always reachable during pet care stays through messaging and phone calls. I hope you'll consider me, and if you have any further questions regarding my pet care services, please feel free to send a message anytime!
Information Rachel M. would like to know about your pet
I offer a free meet and greet before booking, where we can discuss the needs of your pets. In general, I need information on whether your dog is friendly towards other animals, whether you would like us to avoid saying hi to other dogs while walking, and any kind of medical or dietary considerations.
A typical day
I would be happy to walk your dog in any environment! If you have a puppy that needs socialization, we can go on a fun trip to nearby parks or new neighborhoods. Otherwise, we can stick to whatever routine your dog is used to. I do sometimes bring along a friend or sibling while I walk :)

Pet care experience
Hello! I've had experience with dog sitting, dog walking, and small animal care for 14+ years. I've been taking care of dogs around my neighborhood since I was in middle school, and I have two of my own pups, who are my pride and joy :) In 2017, I launched my pet care business. Since then, I've taken care of over 300 dogs, cats, bunnies, and guinea pigs in Brighton, NY and surrounding areas. I'm as comfortable with 5Ib Toy Poodles as I am with 180Ib Great Danes, and I've worked with a wide range of breeds, personalities, and temperaments. I've cared for quite a few animals that have had medical needs, and I'm completely comfortable administering medication (oral & topical) to pets. I also have plenty of experience with general training and socialization. I would be happy to provide you with tips and advice if you have a new dog, cat, puppy, or kitten!

Rachel is the best photographer! I really appreciate her time spent with our fluff muffin and all of the detail she puts in to her rover card's. We wish you were available more!!!!

What a pleasure it was to work with Rachel. She is super responsive and I felt very comfortable having her care for my baby 🐾❤️ I will definitely rebook with her again

We always feel at ease when Rachel watches our kitties!! She goes above and beyond to play and spend quality time with them.

Rachel is the sweetest doggie care giver!!
