About: I’ve always had a deep love for animals and would care for your furry family members as if they were my own. I grew up with both large and small dogs, from Shih Tzus to Rottweilers, and now have Huskies of my own. I’ve also grown up with cats and currently have a Maine Coon. About: I own a Husky mix named Prisma who is turning 3 this year. She is quite energic and also epileptic. She is my daily experience. However I have sat for dog a bit bigger and much smaller! That includes Shihztus, Rottweilers, Golden Retrievers, Corgis, and Border Collies. I'm patient and responsible. My goal in any work field, but especially with your loved ones and possessions, is being reliable and communicating. This is what I find in my experience to be key for providing the best care and peace of mind. I work full time as a receptionist Mon - Fri, 8 to 4:30. This provides a lot of morning visits and overnight potential. Evening walks would works great as well. For specific requests, I can even dip into PTO to make the right situation work if a mid day visit is required during the work week. My Saturdays and Sundays are fully open at this time. I'm very patient and observant when interacting with pets of different personalities. Once informed on how you'd like your loved one to be cared for, I will do so in that manner. An obvious statement, but you'd be surprised how important that is to be said. If unsure or uncertain of care, we can brainstorm together as well to make sure I'm the correct sitter for the job.
About: A graduate of the Eastman School of Music, I'm currently a flutist with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra! I've been missing my spunky dog Kora who lives back home and have always grown up with dogs, which is why I've been a sitter for Rover since I moved here in 2021. About: I grew up with labs, one who lived to 14 years of age. After adopting my own dog, 3 years ago she was diagnosed with Addison's disease which requires a monthly vet visit and daily pill. If your dog needs medication while you’re away, I’m willing to administer it. I work 10 minutes from home and look forward to visiting my dog on my lunch break. She could use some company while I’m at work. I’m a single mom with shared custody of 2 kids, ages 3 and 1. Your dog must be comfortable with young children. About: Hi, I’m Shelby! I am a huge dog lover and always have been. When I was 12, I hit the jackpot when a dog showed up on my front porch and stayed forever. My best friend was a year old when I met him and 14 when I lost him a few months ago. I am confident in my ability to provide senior dogs with the level of care they require because I dedicated so much of my time to giving my boy the highest quality of life in his final years. I’ve also had my fair share of puppy-sitting (and my dog was a beagle) so I’m well prepared for the level of attention and care a puppy requires. I currently have a pet tortoise, Tomato, and spent a few years of my life working closely with non-venomous turtles and snakes, so I’m very comfortable and familiar with caring for reptile pets. I love non-venomous reptiles! I currently work 9-5 typically, but my work schedule is flexible. I work very close to where I live, so it’s easy for me to care for my tortoise and a pet at a different location. When I have dog-sat with this schedule before, I would care for the dogs before leaving for work and immediately upon returning home. I am also able to stop by during my lunch breaks to let pets out and give them some love. When I’m pet sitting in another person’s home, I do my best to keep pets on their normal schedule/routine. I will also spend time allowing pets to adjust to my presence and to get used to the new smells. I take steps to be as respectful and considerate of both the pet and the human’s space as possible.
About: My husband Jonathan and I have grown up raising and taking care of dogs. Until we are ready to get our own dog again we would love to host your dog in our home! We and our children will make sure your dog feels like a part of the family during their stay. Between walks, playtime, belly rubs and everything else in-between, you can be sure your dog is well cared for. I am a stay at home mom so your dog will get lots of love and attention throughout the day, especially from my kids. Our schedule is great if your dog is used to being home around people and being a part of a daily routine. Your dog will be able to go out as much as they want throughout the day and get a walk or two for exercise and sniffs. I do require a meet and greet before your first booking in order to ensure your dog's stay will be a good fit for everyone. I have a fully fenced backyard with adequate grass space for potty breaks and playing fetch. Inside we have hardwood and tile floor, and I only allow the dogs on the first floor of my home (although we do spend the great majority of our time on this floor). We do ask that your dog be okay with being left downstairs for short periods of time; I wouldn't want your dog to be anxious and then scratching or jumping on the door to the upstairs. We also do not allow dogs on our furniture so please consider if your dog will be able to understand staying off the couch. When we are out of the house we can accommodate them on the first floor of our home and make sure their favorite bed or crate is set up for them.

About: In highschool I was very popular in my neighborhood from doing there dog nails, to dog sitting, over night stays, and even medications. Even back in high school I had a part time and school and still made sure the fur babies were taken care of. To this day I still dog sit for my neighbor. I also worked at a doggy daycare for about 6 months then i moved, I learned so much while I was there in that short period of time from learning to gain respect and how to control a group of 15+ dogs . And was in a animal science program in highschool with a mentorship at a clinic, then tried to go to college for my vet tech degree but too expensive(still paying that off). I also do have a very energetic German shepherd who I train every day she knows pretty much everything(sit, lay down, roll over,paw, other paw,high five, spin, heel, center, look, leave it, back up, and wait). I also dog sat for my boyfriend's coworker who had an older pointer who had a seziure not only did I comfort the dog but I called owner asap then vet, I then called off of work. Just because it's not my animal doesn't mean I will love them any less. But the take away from all that is I have a lot of experience in the animal department. I'm currently working part time and have a lot of free time on my hands and love being around animals . I only work wensday-saturday the other days I'm free. But as you can see with my profile I do have my own fur baby but my boyfriend never works nights or weekends so she won't be alone. For the pets at clients housing not only will I respond to you text asap even if I'm busy, I will also ask for guide lines and try to keep your dog on the schedule you have them on consistency is key, especially when a change like you leaving happens. I also am a big over thinker so before I let the dog out if you have a yard I will always make sure the gates are close and secure and make sure there's nothing laying out that would harm them. When I dog sit I imagine as if it's my own dog.

I never used to go anywhere because I hated leaving my two cats home alone for to long and hated asking my daughter to watch them because she is slightly allergic to cats. Now that my daughter has moved from New York to Texas it has forced me to go away for a longer periods of time to go visit her. I then found Rover and matched me with Alina who has been awesome to work with! Our communication back and forth has been super easy. Alina asks questions and is very interested in getting to know what is going to make my kitties happy and healthy. My older cat Rosco has hyperthyroidism and needs to take medication every 12 hours and Alina has performed that task perfectly. Kayla was so great with our kitties! My kitty has trust issues and Kayla was able to gain her trust in a short few days which was great to hear. Kelsey is an absolute sweetheart and so kind. she always made sure to send photos and always kept us updated. she was able to take us kind of last minute and my kitty seemed to love here. even our leopard gecko ate for her. i will be using her again for future vacations and recommend her to anyone that needs a sitter!
We had a wonderful experience with Ray whom we used to walk our beloved dog each day for a week while we were on vacation. Jenna was fantastic with drop-ins for our cats while we went on a two week getaway. Our oldest needs oral medicine twice per day and he can be quite finicky, as cats are, and she handled it with ease. It was great seeing her photo updates of playtime each visit and knowing that both of our cats took to her in short order (even the ultra shy one!). She was very communicative and reliable throughout. I would definitely recommend Jenna and we will happily be repeat customers for any future trips!
We are so grateful for Amber! We have 3 cats, 2 of which are rescues who had a very hard life for 3 years before we took them in. One of them was never seen, aside from a quick run-away, by a previous petsitter who took care of our cats for the past 3 years. But from her very first day, Amber gained all 3 kitties' trust and affection. She not only saw our "ghost kitty," she was able to pet her. No previous petsitter had won this kitty's trust before, and certainly not within a day! Amber sent us detailed updates and photos of our happy, calm cats. We were also blown away by how thoughtful and neat she was with everything. When we came home, all 3 cats immediately came out and were happy and peaceful. Usually, at least one would hide for a little while because they'd be stressed when we were away. Not this time. Amber is truly amazing.
We are super thankful Matt was available to care for our anxious half fox/ half rabbit (chihuahua mix) and grey tabby and send us photos of our babies during our week long vacay out of state. Canelo quickly warmed up to Matt and was happy to make a new friend. Matt went the extra mile by cleaning up some unwanted ants, offering to take out the trash, and buying food when we ran low.
