“It was really nice to enjoy our vacation knowing David was super reliable and our dogs would get their walks everyday - lessened the guilt of leaving them almost completely! Thank you!”

About: Growing up with pets my entire life, I was able to get the jump on caring for pets of all ages and sizes. I’ve had multiple cats and dogs at a time. Navigating their relationships and routines was a welcomed challenge! I have experience caring for puppies and pups in their golden years. I currently work evenings as a cleaner. That leaves tons of time to walk, potty, play, and enjoy their yummy meal(s)! I love to give my undivided attention to your fur babies. At this time, I am not able to care for pets in my own home. After a meeting with you at their favorite park or pup cup spot, I would love to accommodate your pet care needs.
“Megan provided exceptional care for our cats, Fen and Clover, during a week-long stay. We were particularly impressed by her diligence during a heavy snowfall, when she not only shoveled our steep driveway to safely get to the door but also patiently waited over an hour for our frozen door to thaw, ensuring she could reach our pets and tend to them. Megan's dedication, combined with regular updates and photos, gave us complete peace of mind. She's a reliable, professional, and genuinely caring cat sitter, and we wholeheartedly recommend her services to anyone seeking top-notch care for their feline companions.”

“I always say dogs know when they meet a good person and Dan is just that! Our dog Shade instantly went to Dan and definitely enjoys her time with him. He's attentive and plays great with all her puppy energy. He provides pictures and detailed notes of each of his visits which we really appreciate. It is so nice to know she is taken care while we are at work. We appreciate his punctuality for visits and prompt communication. We highly recommend Dan and we look forward to his continued help with Shade.”

“Rebecca did an amazing job! She took care of our cats like they were her own and was great with communication. The cats clearly liked her as well. We will be booking her again!”

“Stacie was amazing with our pets. Our dogs can be particular and overly anxious, but they were always excited to see her. She asked questions about our animals that I hadn’t thought of and really wanted to make sure they were well taken care of. She always kept us updated and sent us lots of pictures. I would absolutely book Stacie again in the future. She is wonderful.”

“Dominic came right at the scheduled times and took lots of pictures of taking good care of our handsome prince! It was a great peace of mind to know that our pup had reliable care!”

About: With almost 9 years of pet care experience and a lifetime of dog ownership, I provide attentive, reliable care for every pet that I meet. I am available for pet care part-time while working full-time Monday–Friday. I am in the office 8–4 on Mondays and Wednesdays, but I have flexible availability in the mornings and afternoons on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. My weekends are completely open. Your pet’s safety is my top priority. I follow owner instructions closely, keep pets secure on-leash during walks, and ensure a calm, attentive environment at all times. I am careful with home security, always double-check doors, and treat every pet as if they were my own.
“Danielle and Tim were wonderful! We came home to a tired and happy dog. Loved the photo updates. I think our dog would love to go live with them! Would use them again and would highly recommend them.”

“HUGE thank you to MacKenzie for doing this one-off semi last-minute visit with my pups and her continued patience with my one dog who is a little more nervous and difficult. She is a blessing and I will always be grateful for her love and care she gives my pups while I am away.”

About: I enjoy being around dogs, as i have one of my own now, i had dogs growing up and they have always been a friend i needed. I’m always the person at the gathering that spends more time with the dog rather than people lol. I have wanted to become a veterinarian since a kid, although i grew out of that, i know my purpose is to work with the voiceless, animals. (although they have their own voice lol). I’m currently doing this for experience due to being in school full time/work. I plan on advancing my knowledge in animal behavior. I am currently working full time Friday-Sunday. I am free Monday/Thursday. Thursday is not open as a service because i am only available until 12pm. I am very aware of surroundings during dog walks and aware that dogs will be dogs. I’ve studied multiple breeds and i am one to know that some breeds react differently than others, such as my own dog. I think dogs are misunderstanding and people don’t realize they do not think like humans. It is not easy to trust someone with your furry loved one, trust your intuition. I treat others peoples pet like i would want mine to be treated, with respect, patience and love.
“Teddy is the most amazing sitter!!! She cared for our animals like they were her own. We will definitely be using her again! Thank you for the best sitter experience! 10 out of 10 would recommend Teddy for your next sitter ❤”

“Karibian was a lifesaver for our family! We had somewhat limited notice to needing our girls cared for and she stepped in and helped us. The girls were so happy to see her each visit, even though they had never met. All the photos of smiles and snuggles made this mommas heart happy. I highly recommend her service and will definitely rebook with her again!”

“Meredith is one of those rare people that really cares and relates to your pet. With so much patience and kindness our quirky Tater Bug (with a pretty rough rescue past) was in love! Every picture was a happy tail wagging boy with Meredith playing. ball with him on beautiful days. Our sincerest thanks and praise for a dog sitter with a heart if pure gold.”

“I had Taylor do some stop in visits while I was on vacation. She sent updates everyday which was a nice thing to do. Its always good to see some pictures of the dogs while away. The dogs seemed happy and healthy when I got back. Thanks.”

“We asked Charlene and Jeremy to do a drop-in with our two dogs pretty last minute. They responded promptly and we were able to set something up quickly. Everything went well with the visit and they sent us pictures of the pups while they were over! Will definitely reach out to them again in the future!”

Dominic is the best. This was our first time leaving our precious pups with a sitter and we couldn’t be more pleased. He was so attentive and followed every instruction perfectly. Pups looked like they had a great time from all the photos he shared. Highly recommend!! Thank you so much!

My cat was so well taken care of and loved his time with his sitter! Updates on visits were timely, detailed, and I never had a single doubt that my cat was in good hands. My cat tends to be clingy and gets separation anxiety and doesn’t do well after I leave him, but when I came back, it was like I never left.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Greece. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
