“Kathryn is a very nice sitter! She follows the instructions carefully and being really nice to my cats. She will contact me in time or asking for more she could help. Most importantly, she has the cutest window stickers!”

About: I've been taking care of and rescuing animals since I was a child with my grandmother. We always had all kinds of lovely creatures running around the house, including a baby raccoon that we rehabilitated and released back into the wild when it was ready to leave the nest! I have experience in caring for pets with special needs and administering meds as needed. I have love and respect for all animals as they are true family members, and I'm looking forward to creating a bond with yours! :) I have a part time job with shorter shifts that range from 3-5 hours a few times per week. Otherwise my schedule is free and I'd love to fill my time with hanging out with your fur or scale babies!! All pets welcome, I have experience with most! :) I have one kitty currently who is always cozy in my bed or eating her fancy food from her bowl that must always be full! Lol! I would love more pets but I cannot due to limited space. This I why I enjoy staying with your pets in the comfort of their own home! I am very patient, affectionate, playful, kind, attentive, and will always be sure your babies receive the attention they need and are well cared for while you're away!
“This was the first time I have ever used a sitter from Rover, Raena was wonderful. She kept me updated about Bailey and made Bailey feel so comfortable. I was worried about leaving her but Raena really made me feel better. I highly recommend.”

“This was our first time using Rover for watching our fur babies and Sydney could not have made the experience any more pleasant. She spent quality time with them and we could tell from the pictures she shared that Coco really enjoyed her company. We will definitely be looking to her again for our next trip.”
“Suzanne was a great communicator and reliable! I appreciated the pictures and videos and most importantly felt that my animals were being well taken care of! Would use again!”

“Madeline was awesome! She was communicative, sent wonderful photos, and did a great job! We were able to rest easy knowing our cat was in great hands while we’re away! Thanks, Madeline!”

“Heather was the BEST with our senior dog and understood how much our chewy is loved and not just our dog but family, I would 100% recommend her and use her in the future. THANK YOU beyond a million Heather ….”

“She did an amazing job with our two cats over the holiday week! Everything went very smoothly, always gave a good report and visited at consistent times. We will be booking again when we need another cat sitter!”

About: With almost 9 years of pet care experience and a lifetime of dog ownership, I provide attentive, reliable care for every pet that I meet. I am available for pet care part-time while working full-time Monday–Friday. I am in the office 8–4 on Mondays and Wednesdays, but I have flexible availability in the mornings and afternoons on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. My weekends are completely open. “Katie was amazing with my dog Bailey while I was on vacation. She came by every morning and took Bailey for a walk and made sure she had food and water. She was very conscious of the hot weather and made sure bailey did not over heat or be out too long. Bailey is very picky about the people she likes but she took to Katie right away. I will definitely be calling her again.”

About: I own a Husky mix named Prisma who is turning 3 this year. She is quite energic and also epileptic. She is my daily experience. However I have sat for dog a bit bigger and much smaller! That includes Shihztus, Rottweilers, Golden Retrievers, Corgis, and Border Collies. I'm patient and responsible. My goal in any work field, but especially with your loved ones and possessions, is being reliable and communicating. This is what I find in my experience to be key for providing the best care and peace of mind. I work full time as a receptionist Mon - Fri, 8 to 4:30. This provides a lot of morning visits and overnight potential. Evening walks would works great as well. For specific requests, I can even dip into PTO to make the right situation work if a mid day visit is required during the work week. My Saturdays and Sundays are fully open at this time. I'm very patient and observant when interacting with pets of different personalities. Once informed on how you'd like your loved one to be cared for, I will do so in that manner. An obvious statement, but you'd be surprised how important that is to be said. If unsure or uncertain of care, we can brainstorm together as well to make sure I'm the correct sitter for the job.

This was my second booking with Jessica, and she was fantastic. She was alert to any unusual conditions or behavior in my cats, and I felt confident knowing that she was keeping a close eye on them. The kitties were all happy and healthy when I got home, and I would absolutely book Jessica a third time.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
