About: I’ve been walking dogs for a while now, and I’ve always had dogs of my own. I also have experience fostering. I have experience with all ages, sizes, and breeds. I currently work from home, so I have flexibility in when and how I can provide care. I’m available weekdays for drop ins and walks. I look forward to taking your dog on walks, and can transport them securely in my car if needed. Depending on the dog, a service I offer is jogs. I take my own pup, Flo, on runs all the time.

“Fabiola was fantastic. She sent consistent updates to let me know how my dog was doing and did a great job watching her. Would highly recommend!”

“Had a great experience with Patrick. We had an unplanned trip for family reasons and had to find a sitter for Whiskey (1yo unfixed cav) a day before leaving. Patrick was very accommodating with this last minute booking and extending Whiskey's stay for another night. Whiskey had an awesome time playing with Moose. We got updates with pictures and videos. We're definitely going to book again for other trips”

“Jesse did a great job with our puppies. I can tell our boys are very happy and excited when they see him. Jesse has a very comfortable place for the dogs to stay and relax while we are gone and he treats them nicely.”

“Jose was great! We booked last-minute, and he was very communicative throughout the entire process. This was the first time we left our pups for boarding so we were a bit nervous, but we felt comfortable leaving them with Jose. Both of our dogs seemed to have enjoyed their time, and we will be sure to rebook with Jose in the future!”

About: My love for animals has always been one of my biggest passions! From turtles, to birds, lizards and snakes to cats and dogs, I’ve owned and cared for them all! I work full time but spend most of my free time at home. My days off are Sunday and Monday. I can be very flexible and am able to come home on lunch if needed. I prioritize safety, routine, and comfort in every visit. I follow care instructions closely, secure doors and leashes, respect your home, and provide regular updates so you always feel confident your pet is well cared for
“Kate will be forever treasured for talking marigold I’m such short notice and being so wonderful to her! She took such good care of our pup and is such a lovely girl. I couldn’t have had a better experience and we will always Hope Kate will be available when we take a trip!!!”

“5 stars. Kimberly got back to us right away when we first inquired, flexible with our drop off and pick up times, and sent us several pictures and brief updates while we were away. When I picked Buddy up after his week-long stay he was happy and content - like he just had a great playdate. When we inquired, we found out the holiday rate was different from the posted rate - it would be good to have that out there.”
About: I have always had dogs and cats as a part of my family and I also spent a lot of time cat sitting for friends and family. My family fostered puppies and dogs for several years through a local organization! I am in school studying animal behavior and have done an internship at a cat shelter giving enrichment and behavior training to the particularly shy cats. I work part time, only 3-5 hours a day at a shop a few minutes from my house. Other than work and quick errands from time to time I’m home full time otherwise! I have a huge backyard that is not fenced in, however your pet would have full on leash supervised access to the yard! I have an older cat who gets along very well with other animals.
“Elliot & Dominique are awesome. I got daily updates throughout my dog’s stay. He was treated with love and enthusiasm . Leo was happy and healthy when I picked him up. I highly recommend them and surely contact them when I need to be out of town.”

“My experience with Amy was excellent! She communicated effectively and pictures were great! My concern melted away for the three days away from Roscoe! If I have to travel again Amy will be my first call for boarding! Thank you”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Hilton
Katie was a wonderful sitter. She provided daily updates and pictures and was so accommodating and flexible when we dealt with travel delays coming home. Our pup seemed happy in all the pictures and was very comfortable in her home. She treated him as if he was her own and we are so appreciative of that. Will definitely hire her again to watch our pup in the future

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
