I flaked and was not on time to meet her for the first time so that she could learn about our cat and house alarm system, and she was patient and understanding still. We are kind of fussy and picky people as far as trust goes with our cat and our house. Our house is in semi-public space within a neighborhood that draws a bit of notice if we aren't around consistently and adds some variables for safety, so it was nice to have someone who was local and understanding. It's been hard to leave town now that our cat is so high needs and frail, but this interaction was calm and reassured us that we can keep trying to live instead of feeling a bit "stuck" here due to her needs. Our little granny is 20+ years old, on 4 different medications, special food, is a bit wobbly on her feet etc. Ella was able to give her the meds in a pill pocket without issue and stopped in 2x a day. She was timely, trustworthy, and caring. We didn't expect her to stay long, but just duck in and out since Eliza sleeps most of the day and isn't high energy to play etc. but she still spent a bit of time with her and gave her attention to keep her company and stretch out her boring days without us. It was our first time fully using this site and now we feel reassured. Hire Ella!”

About: I cared for my own dog for 5 years, including as he aged into his senior years. I also watch my parents' dog whenever they go out of town. I do not have puppy training experience, but I have some with adult dogs. I work a full-time job, so any care provided will have to fit around my schedule. I am usually out of work by 2:30 and need to care for my own pets at home, but I will make all the time needed to provide proper care for yours! I live in a friendly neighborhood, and my cats are very open to meeting new animals. There are a lot of areas around my neighborhood to go for walks and some nice dogs that live around.

About: I’ve had a dog my entire life, so caring for dogs comes naturally to me. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, though I’ve primarily grown up with small and medium breeds. I can handle daily routines, walks, playtime, and different personalities with patience and care. I’m open to caring for larger dogs as long as they are well-behaved and non-aggressive :). I am an undergraduate student ant SUNY Brockport studying Dance and Rover is perfect for my schedule as it allows me to pursue my education while working on my own terms and being my own boss. I am probably more energetic than your pup! I have owned dogs at all stages of life from little puppies to older dogs. I am physically active and will even run / jog with your pup! I rarely am home when boarding, i prefer to spend the day going to a dog park if I have a full house! I will go for walks, runs, and jogs with dogs who i walk, do drop in visits and sit for. I will locate the nearest park if possible or find the safest adventuring route within the neighborhood! For boarding, I am currently not available! I am happy to be available for drop in visits with your pets or house sitting for if you need to leave town! I am available for Dog and Cat caregiving Thursday through Sunday currently. I normally am free during afternoons and evenings. I prefer 1 day in advanced planning but can plan on the fly. I am attentive and responsible with my client’s space. I ensure pets do not cause havoc in home while owners are away. I ensure pets are in a safe environment at all times.
About: I grew up on farms in the south, so I've been around animals my whole life. I moved to Rochester specifically because of how dog friendly it is. I think dogs deserve to be treated like family because they are our family! I work from home taking care of pets is my main job. If i could fill every hour of the week with animals, I would! Caroline was great! Had her come by twice a day for 4 days while I was out of state to check on my two cats, an almost 6 year old orange female and an almost 1 year old black male. She always provided really good updates and took some of my new favorite pictures of my babies. My orange female is a bit aloof and hissy with new people, but she even warmed up to Caroline after a couple days. My little guy loved playing with her and she said he was always super friendly and sweet and friendly and just wanted all the pets. There was even one day Caroline was going to be late for the PM visit due to an expected circumstance outside her control, and she communicated that promptly. Which I really appreciated. Would definitely book with her again!
Steffan was absolutely wonderful! He was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about doing a great job. What impressed me most, though, was how naturally he connected with one of my cats. This particular cat is extremely stranger-repulsed and usually wants nothing to do with unfamiliar people, yet he warmed up to Steffan in a way I honestly didn’t expect. I came home knowing my pets were safe, comfortable, and well cared for. We also had an unfortunate situation where our house keys were misplaced, and Steffan came to the rescue by safely securing the keys we had given him in a safe place for us to pick up when we arrived home. Steffan truly went above and beyond, and I would absolutely trust him with my pets and home again. Highly recommend!
Olivia did an excellent job watching our cat. She is clearly very good with animals and our anxious cat took to her immediately. she was communicative and on time every day and I appreciated how thoughtful she was cleaning around the litterbox. I would happily have her watch our cat again!
We are super thankful Matt was available to care for our anxious half fox/ half rabbit (chihuahua mix) and grey tabby and send us photos of our babies during our week long vacay out of state. Canelo quickly warmed up to Matt and was happy to make a new friend. Matt went the extra mile by cleaning up some unwanted ants, offering to take out the trash, and buying food when we ran low. I most definitely recommend him!

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
