Portia has been incredibly patient, kind, and diligent in working with Winston. I’m thrilled that she’s earned his trust, because now I can stay at work all day without having to worry about running back during my lunch break to walk him. “I own a working line German Shepherd that requires a lot of attention, exercise, and mental stimulation. She receives all of that plus more when I leave my dog in Sophie's care. She has been watching and walking my dog when I'm not able to since she was a puppy. She is now over 2 years old and Sophie remains to be reliable and my first choice for taking care of my dog. She is great with all other animals as well. She is very caring, patient, playful, and enforces training and rules when necessary and in appropriate situations. I feel good and have peace of mind leaving my dog in her care. My dog absolutely adores her and gets so excited every time Sophie comes over to care for her. I highly recommend her.”

“She is a great Dog Mom! She and her husband adopted 2 CavaTsu mixed puppies, and proceeded to make their house and amazing place for dogs, they fenced in their backyard themselves with a beautiful shadowbox fence, protected their garden form nosey sniffers, installed a dog-door for the pups convenience, and even sectioned off a large part of their living-room as a play area with a custom puppy-gate to keep them out of trouble. She pressure cooks her own special recipe for their dog food which supposedly is much healthier than bagged food. On many occasions they invite other dogs over for play dates, so the dogs are very well adjusted to having friends/company even new dogs they have never met before, and the dogs have quite a bit of energy, they love to play!”

About: I've grown up caring for cats, rabbits and dogs! I also have experience raising chicks/chickens, and some experience caring for pigs, horses and goats. I've recently adopted a large senior dog, and have two cats (and a fish) of my own. Housesitting includes plant-care (indoor and out) as needed, trash days and mail/delivery collection. I'm in school, so M/W I'm available before noon or after 4pm. T/Th I'm available before 7am or after 2:30pm. Fridays-Sun I'm usually openly available! My priority while pet sitting is your pets! If they love walks or socializing, I'll be sure they have the best "stay-cation" while your away too! For pets that stay-in (such as cats and rabbits), play and quality time for me is key- keeping them active and distracted while parents are away is so important to me.

“Brett walked our dog twice in one day with very last-minute notice. He sent videos and updates at each visit, which were very sweet! He even noticed that she had chewed something up and cleaned up the mess. He was on time at each walk and gave Remi a nice long walk each time! Definitely planning on hiring him in the future.”
