About: I've had several dogs in my life, smaller and larger dogs. I had a cocker spaniel mix when I was a kid, a collie when my kids were young, and most recently a German shepherd. Each had their own personality and I have special memories of each one of them. I have taken care of older dogs and younger dogs. I can handle the energy of younger dogs and the needs of older ones. We have always seen our pets as members of the family and I hope you will allow me to see your dog in the same way. I have friends that I have stayed at their house for a couple of weeks to spend time with their dog while they were on vacation. We went for walks twice a day and had a lot of time playing together. I work remotely in my job so I am happy to work from wherever is needed to take care of your pet. My schedule is flexible and I will work hard to accommodate the schedule of you pet. If you just need someone to come to walk your dog or just spend time with your cat, I have the flexibility in my day to do that. My first goal is to make your dog or cat comfortable with my visit. If I'm staying in your home, I will follow the routine you have set to do just that.

About: Animals need human contact and love. exercise is important and keeps a dog healthy. I have had rescue cats most of my life and recently have taken care of my daughter's dog when out of town I am retired now and have available time. I am up by 6:00 AM every morning I love to walk and it is part of my daily routine. I have a cat and keep her on a healthy schedule and annual vet appt. With a dog, I follow the instructions of the owner. They may be on medication, eat certain types of food etc.

About: We’re a family of five who has plenty of love in our hearts and home to share with your furry friends ❤️ My husband and I both grew up with dogs. Additionally, I have also raised two dogs for Guiding Eyes for the Blind. We had to say goodbye to our beloved, old shitzu this past year. About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have always loved caring for animals. I’ve raised puppies and kittens of my own all the way until they were old and frail. I also currently have a 2.5 year old Golden Retriever, so I’m very comfortable with the energy, routines, and attention that pets need. Over the years, I’ve also cared for friends’ pets while they’ve been out of town, and I pet sat as a side gig during college. These experiences have given me plenty of practice caring for different personalities, following individual routines, and making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and would treat your pets like my own! And I’m obsessed with my high maintenance dog. I’m a nurse and work four days a week, which means I have weekends and one weekday off each week. My weekday off varies, but I typically know my schedule about 8 weeks in advance. I’m pretty flexible on my days off, so I’m generally very open when it comes to scheduling pet care. I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine and your needs! I always want pets to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I’m happy to follow their normal routines, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and any other specific instructions you provide. I’ll also make sure they get plenty of attention and affection so they feel as comfortable as possible in their own home. Since I have dogs of my own, I understand how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your pets. I’ll treat your home and your pets with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I’m also always happy to give thorough updates as well!

About: I’ve been around and caring for dogs since I was a kid. I’ve always had a big heart for dogs and love showing them care and attention. As I’ve gotten older, my love for dogs has only grown. I enjoy being around them, playing with them, and making sure they feel happy, safe, and loved. Depends on my college schedule but i’ll make time for dogs to care. About: I had a cat for 20 years and cage aninals when i was young. I have owned a dog with anxiety so patience was key. He needed Medication for that and his hips. I own two cats and a hedgehog. My cats come to a whistle, know how to sit and lay down, go to their blanket where ever it is. My older cat is great in the car and the younger cat I am currently training. I cut their nails and bathe them myself. Both are leash trained. I handle my hedgehog daily so that he is well socialized. My cats never bothered the rats or the hedgehog when let out of the cages. They would sleep woth the dog when no one was home. I work 12 hour over night shifts for my regular job. I am looking for day time and, when off night time or overnight opertunities to fit my shifting schedule. I work in Macedon and live in West Henrietta so I am flexible with locations. I am a quiet private person. I have two cats and a hedgehog. I previously owned rats, a dog, leopard gecko, and other caged animals Cages, boxes, bowls and, other cage items are cleaned daily as well as deep cleaning every 4 to 5 days or as needed. I enjoyed taking the dog as well as my cat for a walk! I have patience with animals with anxiety. I walk or handle pets that friends have such as snakes and birds.

About: I grew up with a great dane, and then my family adopted 3 dogs of different sizes after that. I’ve been surrounded by, and taken care of dogs my entire life growing up in Rochester. I have worked for local dog daycare and boarding facilities as well. My location provides a good place to socialize with other dogs as well if needed, just minutes from several parks and open land. A fIexible schedule allows me to work with people to meet their specific needs, and take the necessary time to be thorough. I enjoy the process of working with dogs and understanding their personality. I use positive reinforcement techniques to reward behavior and maximize dog comfort. I currently work afternoons, and am a night owl. I spend my mornings drinking coffee or walking dogs, and evenings helping friends with pet care who work late nights in health care, law enforcement, etc. While I cannot board dogs overnight in my apartment building, I have experience boarding within owners homes. I know the stress of finding a private care provider, and offer meet and greet beforehand to make sure pet parents feel at ease. I also provide normal drop in walking/care while owner is away.

About: I work at an animal shelter and have been handling animals from mice to Great Danes for the past 3 years. I have an in depth understanding of both cat and dog body language, and regularly work with animals that have handling sensitivity, resource guarding, behavioral troubles and health concerns. I help out in our in-shelter Vet Clinic, distributing both pill & liquid oral medications, vaccines/SubQ fluids, and administering topical treatments for skin, eye, and ear ailments. I am Fear-Free certified, which is a training that focuses on positive reinforcement to help eliminate fear and stress in pets. I regularly dog sit for neighbors and friends, cat sit for my sister, and have cared for dogs and small animals in my personal life, including guinea pigs, rats, fish, frogs, birds and lizards. At our shelter, for both dogs and cats- I feed them, clean their kennels, monitor behavior and health concerns, help with training, and administer medications. For dogs specifically, I take them for outside for walks/play pen time & their regular potty breaks, and oversee dog to dog interactions/play dates. I am available for pet feedings, drop ins, letting out your dog out, or taking them for a walk. Whatever is needed for your pet, I will be able to offer :)

About: Hi there! My name has since changed to *Romeo* as I am queer :) Ive had experience with all sorts of animals since I was a young! My heart however has always lied with dogs. Ive lived with, trained, and taken care of dogs from age 15. Professionally, I am currently a counselor at Camp Bow Wow! I’ve been working there for over a year now, learning and applying a wide range of skills. In this role I’ve learned some key skills on how to ensure companions are safe and happy: 1. Body language: I observe everything from your dog’s head to tail to minimize reactivity due to human- animal misunderstandings 2. Health indicators: although I’m not a vet, I was trained to recognize irregular symptoms a dog may be displaying such as stool texture and consistency, body temperature, excessive panting and drooling, gum color, etc. Anything your dog may be struggling with from itchy skin to something greater, I’ll notify you right away! 3. Communication: parents love hearing about their babies and seeing them happy and comfortable! By regular communication, this allows me to get clear instructions to follow, assess any changes needed in care or routine, and stay up to date in case of any rapid changes or emergencies. In addition, what sets me apart is my artistic attention to detail, which allows me to adapt to your dogs needs in a creative way. I like to challenge myself by finding ways to stimulate and enrich your dog while you are away! I’m very relaxed, quiet, and easygoing, but also spontaneous and go-with-the-flow should your dog get the zoomies! I’ll get mine out with him :) Lastly, I respect peoples spaces/ privacy and always clean up behind myself after using something in your space. I'd love to give your dog my unconditional love and undivided attention. Your baby is not just a pet, they are our best friends who depend on us. About: I've taken care of dogs and cats (both pet-sitting and dog walking) since I was 8 years old (over 14 years of experience!) and still frequently care for the dogs and cats of friends and family. I grew up with a black Labrador and miss having her around (she passed away while I was in college). I currently have a labrador and pittie mix and she gets along very well with dogs of all sizes. I absolutely adore dogs and cats and would love to take care of yours! I have a variable schedule as a nurse practitioner but am home for the holidays so can board your pup with mine or drop by yours for walks or house sitting (so long as my pup can tag along too for longer stays!) My pup is a 4 year old lab mix who is very friendly with other dogs! I can do boarding at my place as long as your dog is good with other pups. I can definitely go on long walks or runs, as well as shorter ones to get your pup some exercise! I'm happy to do drop-in services as well.

About: Have a puppy? I’m well-versed in puppy pee pads and the fun game of find the poop. Have an older dog? A slow meander or a quick circle around the yard and sit on the front porch are just as enjoyable as a fast paced walk. How about a bully breed? I’m used to the house hippo slamming into you when you enter the door. We have one of our own. Ever had your knees taken out from under you because a chimpmunk ran by? I have. Ever wrestle a house hippo afraid of water into a tub? Yup. That’s me. Bad listener? We’ve got one of those. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members. …and, yes, I always pick up the poo 🤓 I work from home with flexible hours, so I’m available during the days, in the evenings, and over the weekends. I am only able to take kid and pet friendly pets into my home, but am able to get to yours. It all depends on a pet’s need and the owner’s preferences. if they need exercise during the day or in the evenings we can take walks or play outside. If there is a mess, you can trust I’ll clean it up. Poop? I got it. Outside playtime? Absolutely. I can stop by once or several times a day depending on your pet’s needs.

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 10 years old. I was responsible for walking the family dog when I was younger, volunteered at a shelter walking dogs every Saturday morning for 5 years, and have owned a dog myself for the last 20 years. My current dog, Bruce, and I are a registered therapy dog team, which required a lot of training and building of trust between us. He's a border collie (though he's slowed down in his old age) that needs his daily walks and play time. I understand how stressful it can be to leave your pets with someone. You need to be able to trust them and I promise to take care of your dog with as much love and care as I take care of my own. I have 4 cats, so you pup MUST be good with cats. I work from home everyday so I am able to take care of potty breaks as needed and provide attention and playtime throughout the day. Building trust with an animal is etremely important. I am careful to keep an eye on body language so that I know when an animal wants more or less attention, needs to go for a walk, or needs to play. My own dog has been trained to walk on a loose leash by my side and does not pull. I've had plenty of experience walking shelter dogs who had no training though, so I can handle quite a bit. I regularly interact with my cats depending upon what type of interaction they want. I have two cats who love to play with toys on strings, and two other cats who prefer to be showered with pets. I am a believer that if you pay attention the animal will let you know what it's boundaries are.

About: I had dogs all my life, I love them!! I currently have a 11 years old weimaraner, which is in Spain with my parents, and a 5 years old Russian Toy, Harry. Harry is living with my bf and I in Rochester. He is 4.5lb and a super easy-going boy! So, I am used to all dog sizes, and I do pretty well with the high energy ones!! I'm a PhD student so I can scape from the lab anytime. I normally walk my dogs very early in the morning, at noon and at night. During the weekends I give them long walks. At my place my dogs have been always inside home and at their own. When they go out is always under my supervision. Since my dogs are well behaved and not destructive I've never used crates. If I take care of a dog that is not mine, I will listen the requirements from their humans to have a good care of their needs.

About: I would love to take care of your pet. I have a lot of experience with cats and dog sitting. I love walking and playing with them very much. I understand their needs and treat them best I can based on their character. I genuinely love any animal I see and very happy and excited to be around them. I am very responsible person, and you can be sure that I will follow any instructions given. I am working from home right now and have pretty flexible schedule. Your pet will be with me most of the time, occasionally when I need to go to the store I may leave for an hour maximum. I have plenty of area to walk around with your dog as well as a few parks around if they are more active and love long walks.

About: A little bit about me, I am going on to my second year at MCC and after plan on joining the Air Force! I currently have a part time job at a restaurant but have gotten the unfortunate news that they will be shutting down my store so I am looking to have this as a part time job for now then hopefully transition it into a full time job. I have been taking care of animals since my early teenage years starting off with a close family friend and her 2 poodle mix’s. They would be dropped off at my house around 9:00 am and then get pick up at 6:00pm. I have bathed, cleaned, and even trained some dogs (simple commands). In addition, I have also taken care of multiple furry felines and have had many cats of my own so I am also quite familiar with their needs as well. I am wanting to soon be Pet CPR and First Aid Certified. I have always been interested in pet-care I just didn’t know how to go about it until I found out about rover! I will be putting all my focus on pet-care as my full time job. Since I am just starting out I will only have weekday availability 11-9 and will only offer drop in’s and walk services Monday-Friday and house sitting Tuesday-Thursday. I have been around pets for a long time and feel I am able to pick up on signs if anything might be wrong with your furry friend.
