“David is an absolutely phenomenal dog sitter! He took amazing care of my boyfriend and I’s two huskies, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. My boyfriend especially gets so so so anxious about anybody watching them, and for him to be at peace 24/7 knowing David was there should say a lot. He was incredibly responsive and professional throughout the entire process. The numerous photos he sent gave me so much relief and reassurance, knowing my boys were in good hands and having a blast. I highly recommend David to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter! His wife was also extremely sweet and didn’t mind going on walks with our crazy boys and made the cutest art of them.”

About: I have always had dogs and cats as a part of my family and I also spent a lot of time cat sitting for friends and family. My family fostered puppies and dogs for several years through a local organization! I am in school studying animal behavior and have done an internship at a cat shelter giving enrichment and behavior training to the particularly shy cats. I work part time, only 3-5 hours a day at a shop a few minutes from my house. Other than work and quick errands from time to time I’m home full time otherwise! I have a huge backyard that is not fenced in, however your pet would have full on leash supervised access to the yard! I have an older cat who gets along very well with other animals.
“Kim is absolutely wonderful! She’s so responsible and attentive, always leaving detailed walk updates with plenty of adorable pictures. It’s clear she truly cares about my pups and notices all their little needs. I always felt completely at ease knowing they were in such loving hands.”

About: I've had several dogs in my life, smaller and larger dogs. I had a cocker spaniel mix when I was a kid, a collie when my kids were young, and most recently a German shepherd. Each had their own personality and I have special memories of each one of them. I have taken care of older dogs and younger dogs. I can handle the energy of younger dogs and the needs of older ones. We have always seen our pets as members of the family and I hope you will allow me to see your dog in the same way. I have friends that I have stayed at their house for a couple of weeks to spend time with their dog while they were on vacation. We went for walks twice a day and had a lot of time playing together. I work remotely in my job so I am happy to work from wherever is needed to take care of your pet. My schedule is flexible and I will work hard to accommodate the schedule of you pet. If you just need someone to come to walk your dog or just spend time with your cat, I have the flexibility in my day to do that. My first goal is to make your dog or cat comfortable with my visit. If I'm staying in your home, I will follow the routine you have set to do just that.
“Stephanie did a great job! As soon as she came in she knew how to handle my high energy Ginger. She was sweet with her, but also knew how to kindly correct her when she was over excited and calmed her down.”

“Jennifer is a great, thoughtful dog walker. It’s obvious that she enjoys Bailey and Bailey obviously loves Jennifer. Always gives good reports how Bailey did on her walk, meeting dogs, adults and children.”
About: 🐶🐱 Every time I see a dog or cat, I can't resist wanting to pet them & they always make my heart melt! I have been caring for my own cat for 11 years and have nearly 4 years of pet-sitting experience with dogs, cats, and fish before joining Rover. I enjoy feeding pets, taking dogs for walks, playing with their favorite toys, administering medication when needed, and giving them plenty of love and attention. I've also had the pleasure of staying overnight in pet parents' homes to ensure their pets remain comfortable, safe, and well cared for while they're away. In addition to pet sitting, I am a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in New York. My flexible schedule allows me to continue providing dependable and attentive care for pets, which is something I truly enjoy. Just a heads-up: I am deaf, but communication is easy through text messages, the Rover app, email, or live transcription apps. I am committed to making communication smooth and stress-free for both you and your pet. My goal is to ensure your pet feels safe, loved, and happy while you're away. If you have any questions, special requests, or care instructions, please don't hesitate to reach out. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! I take them out multiple times a day for playtime and spend quality time with them to make sure they’re happy and well cared for.
About: Our family loves animals. It’s evident when you drive up to our house and see the goats, rabbits, chickens, ducks, cats and dogs. We have lots of experience with lots of animals, at all stages of life and with administering medications. Now that the kids are all in school. I have extra time to spend with my 4 legged babies and yours. We enjoy hiking, long and/or short walks around Canandaigua. I am a responsible and respectful professional. I will take care of your pet and home as if it were my own. I want to earn your trust and loyalty.
“Our mini Aussiedoodle Luna is a full of energy and it’s always a little bit anxious when meeting new people, we can not said enough on how Stephanie and Dan were able to get her comfortable with the idea in so short time. Needles to said, what wanted to have was peace knowing that we were leaving her behind for a weekend. And that’s exactly what we got leaving Luna to their care.”

“Aracely let out and fed my puppy midday for 2 months until the end of my school year. She took great care of my little guy. There were two times that she canceled morning of and, with that late notice, I was not able to leave work or get anyone else to take him out. I understand life happens but my little guy did go to the bathroom in his crate both of those days. If I could give 4 1/2 stars, I would!”

About: I have pet sit for friends and neighbors for a long time now, including dogs and cats. I grew up with almost any type of animal you can imagine, from little reptiles, to horses, with many in between. I currently have a dog, 2 cats, a few fish, and many chickens. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily and weekly routine because I currently have a very flexible schedule and plenty of free time to dedicate to pets. This allows me to give pets consistent attention, regular walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship throughout the day. I’m able to adjust my schedule around each pet’s specific needs and routine to make sure they feel comfortable and well cared for. I provide loving, attentive care for pets in both my home and my client’s home. I make sure pets are fed on their normal schedule, always have fresh water, get plenty of exercise and playtime, and receive lots of attention and affection. I can follow any specific instructions regarding routines, medications, training, or special needs.

About: I have always had dogs since I was about 3 years old. No matter the size or breed, I love caring for 4-legged friends! I currently have 3 dogs, Phoebe, an adult pit mix, Petunia, a young shepherd mix, and Phillip, a Great Pyr/Great Dane mix…all adopted from Austin Pets Alive!. I have specific experience volunteering (walking dogs, cleaning, etc.) at a humane society where the majority of adoptable dogs were larger and of the American Staffordshire Terrier breed. I have also regularly watched my friends' dogs when they have gone on vacations. I believe positive reinforcement goes a long way, particularly with food motivated pooches. I’m available most days and times without issue! I do request as much advance notice as you can provide but am open to same day bookings when my schedule allows. I have a fully fenced yard to provide a secure space if they are coming to my home. I am very comfortable taking them on neighborhood walks if they are comfortable. I only use non-retractable leashes and positive reinforcement (treats and affirmations) to engage with your dog. I’ve taken dog CPR training as well.
“Things are working out great with Stephan. Minka seems to be at ease with him and that makes me very happy. Stephan has what it takes to give Minka what she needs and I couldn’t ask for more.”
