About: I have always had dogs since I was about 3 years old. No matter the size or breed, I love caring for 4-legged friends! I currently have 3 dogs, Phoebe, an adult pit mix, Petunia, a young shepherd mix, and Phillip, a Great Pyr/Great Dane mix…all adopted from Austin Pets Alive!. I have specific experience volunteering (walking dogs, cleaning, etc.) at a humane society where the majority of adoptable dogs were larger and of the American Staffordshire Terrier breed. I have also regularly watched my friends' dogs when they have gone on vacations. I believe positive reinforcement goes a long way, particularly with food motivated pooches. I’m available most days and times without issue! I do request as much advance notice as you can provide but am open to same day bookings when my schedule allows. I have a fully fenced yard to provide a secure space if they are coming to my home. I am very comfortable taking them on neighborhood walks if they are comfortable. I only use non-retractable leashes and positive reinforcement (treats and affirmations) to engage with your dog. I’ve taken dog CPR training as well.

I have been dog sitting for over 5 years and actively dog walking for 1 (that is, besides walking my own dogs my entire life!). I work remotely in my job so I am happy to work from wherever is needed to take care of your pet. My schedule is flexible and I will work hard to accommodate the schedule of you pet. If you just need someone to come to walk your dog or just spend time with your cat, I have the flexibility in my day to do that. My first goal is to make your dog or cat comfortable with my visit. My name is Jahlea and I have always had animals in my house, those with and without fur, including fish, axolotls, hamsters, guinea pigs, a medium-sized terrier mix rescue dog and 2 large labradors. About: I have always had dogs and cats as a part of my family and I also spent a lot of time cat sitting for friends and family. My family fostered puppies and dogs for several years through a local organization! I am in school studying animal behavior and have done an internship at a cat shelter giving enrichment and behavior training to the particularly shy cats. I work part time, only 3-5 hours a day at a shop a few minutes from my house. Other than work and quick errands from time to time I’m home full time otherwise! I have a huge backyard that is not fenced in, however your pet would have full on leash supervised access to the yard! I have an older cat who gets along very well with other animals.

About: I have been a pet sitter, and dog-walker for 3 years in Maine. I am extremely caring and detail-oriented when taking care of new furry friends. I have raised a Double Doodle puppy, and am happy to work on positive reinforcement training with puppies! I am available for dog-walks at night after 6pm as well as open on the weekends for house sitting and checking in on pets while the owner is traveling. I am happy to evaluate the space where the pet sleeps, eats, and where the best areas for walks are in the neighborhood. For house-sitting appointments, a designated space to sleep is preferred to be able to care for the animal overnight as needed.
