“Ariana took great care of Zeus and I'll definitely book again. I scheduled 8 drop in times and she was on schedule for all of them. This was my 1st experience with Rover.com.and I was skeptical. This experience with Ariana has put me at ease when I need the extra support.”

“This is our second time requesting Destiny. She is simply amazing!! You can tell she really loves working for Rover. I had no concerns or worries the entire time we were away because knew our animals were in the best care. We love the pictures of the animals and the feedback on how their days were while we were away. Thank you for once again For taking such good care of our animals. You are the best!”

“Elizabeth was fantastic with our boys. We (boys included) knew as soon as we met her, she was a perfect fit. This was our first time using Rover but Elizabeth really put our mind at ease. We will definitely be using her again.”

About: I volunteer at a local cat shelter, have experience socializing kittens, shy, spicy, and senior cats! Have taken ASPCA shelter trainings. I have personally had both cats and dogs my entire life and have cared for family and friends pets. In addition, I have experience with special needs animals including diabetes and mega esophagus. I just became an empty nester and would love to spend my extra time caring for pets! I am available weekdays and weekends any time! I will spend time giving cuddles and pets to cats, changing litter, feeding and playing with your cat! Taking a gentle and quiet approach to those cats needing extra time and space with an unfamiliar person.
About: I have taken care of both dogs and cats for years. I am also a Licensed Practical Nurse (for humans)! I have cared for neighbors, friends, friends-of-friends’ pets and am very trustworthy and caring. For most days, I’ll be home all day. I am pet-sitting and occasional babysitting at the moment so I will be there for your pet! I feed, walk, play, cuddle and give lots of love to all the fur babies and will do whatever else is requested (light housekeeping, vet appointments, etc.)
“Kim is amazing. She helped watch my puppy almost every day for half an hour while potty training and crate training. She was in my home every day for months and it felt like she was family. Your pet and you are in excellent hands with Kim! Trustworthy and extremely kind! My family and I appreciated her so much”

“When my planned sitter had to cancel for an emergency, Sharon was available last minute (on a holiday weekend) to step in. She was attentive to the medical and behavioral needs of both my cats, and was a flexible problem solver when necessary. Thank you so much Sharon!”

About: I have been taking care of pets since I was a child. I grew up on a farm and had to care for the family pets. I have watched a plethora of dog breeds for a night, weekend, week, or just to check in. I have experience clipping nails, bathing, and administering medications. I love pet snuggles and giving treats as well as being very active with my pet friends!! We can be flexible with pet sitting needs and am able to provide services during the day, evenings and weekends. We provide boarding, sitting, drop in visits, and walking. We do not provide housesitting overnight at this time. We have a loving energetic 4 year old black lab mix who loves friends to play with and a 12 year old daughter who loves caring for pets. We have a cozy ranch-style home with a small fenced in yard for free play. We can easily crate if needed/preferred. We prefer you provide your own dog food, but we have pedigree high protein kibble if needed. We like to give training treats for a job well done. We always use positive reinforcement with our own pets and others!
About: I've had several dogs in my life, smaller and larger dogs. I had a cocker spaniel mix when I was a kid, a collie when my kids were young, and most recently a German shepherd. Each had their own personality and I have special memories of each one of them. I have taken care of older dogs and younger dogs. I can handle the energy of younger dogs and the needs of older ones. We have always seen our pets as members of the family and I hope you will allow me to see your dog in the same way. I have friends that I have stayed at their house for a couple of weeks to spend time with their dog while they were on vacation. We went for walks twice a day and had a lot of time playing together. I work remotely in my job so I am happy to work from wherever is needed to take care of your pet. My schedule is flexible and I will work hard to accommodate the schedule of you pet. If you just need someone to come to walk your dog or just spend time with your cat, I have the flexibility in my day to do that. My first goal is to make your dog or cat comfortable with my visit. If I'm staying in your home, I will follow the routine you have set to do just that.
“This was my first time using a stranger to care for my pets. Rover.com did not disappoint tho! Corey is so nice and was VERY good at communicating with me before her visit with my kitty, Butters. She checked in when she got there, and then sent me pictures of Butters in good health and looking very happy. Butters says Corey is great at playing and petting! I say Corey is professional yet friendly, and extremely accommodating with me getting keys to and from her. I will be using her again and highly recommend her.”

“Jennifer is incredible!! She came and helped me very last minute and my dogs absolutely loved her. She is kind and caring and played very well with the pups! Would recommend her to anyone!”

“Skylar lets my dog out at lunchtime 3 days a week and he enjoys her visits. She was helpful when a bandage came off a minor injury that my dog had. Overall she has been reliable and responsive.”

About: I have had dogs my whole life.. I worked in a kennel and as a dog groomer, where I got to spend time with many different breeds of dogs. Friends have asked me to stay with, feed, walk and drop in on their pets. I have experience with puppies and senior dogs. I currently have a flexible schedule, so I have plenty of areas of time to play with your pets! I am available to dog walk and drop in during the week and Saturdays after 12. I would love to discuss if you need someone to house sit overnight! I will care for pets by following the routine that they are used to and treating them with love, kindness and respect. I want to create a calm environment for them and let them know they are safe with me. I will also treat the client’s home with respect.

“Kristen was very friendly and professional! From our initial meet and greet you could tell she knows a lot about dogs. Great communicator and sent pics— came home to a happy pup! Will definitely work with her again!”

About: Hello! I grew up on a farm where we had plenty of dogs and cats and your basic farm animals. I have trained and taken care of all different types of breeds. I have had English bulldogs to labs to Dobermans. I have gone to dog training classes and have experience with puppies and older dogs. My senior English bulldog passed away and I am not in a position to have a puppy full time. So I would love some animals around the house to keep my company! The days I’m available are when I’m off work and spend most my time at home on these days. Therefore I can fully take care of them, play with them and train if needed. Well in my home I have a fenced in back yard, but I would still watch and hang out with them if that’s where they wanted to be. I would take the animals on walks as directed by the owner. I live in a very safe area with families and it’s a fun neighborhood to walk around in. At both the owners and my home I would make sure the dogs always have water unless otherwise directed- this is very important especially in hot climates like CA.

“Jahlea was very professional and took good care of my puppy who is still potty training and learning manners. Jahlea made sure she was taken care of and keeps me updated about her progress.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
