About: I’m a professional handler making a pivot to personalized individual care. I have experience in the training world; I’ve even trained my own service dog. I’ve also worked in behavioral health as a Canine Care Technician. I’m currently a student a RIT studying for a career in Public Safety. I do almost exclusively afternoon/evening classes and am willing to wake up early just for the special cat or dog in your life. I am certified in Fear Free/LIMA techniques and have a grasp on positively-reinforced Balance training. I will default to your family’s system to maintain a safe environment for your beloved pets. With your consent, I will leave the house better than I found it; dishes (including water/food bowls) will be washes and the floor swept. We will agree on appropriate times for me to send updates and you will get as many photos as you could possibly want (I have mastered portrait mode on my phone as it relates pet photography. About: I've had several dogs in my life, smaller and larger dogs. I had a cocker spaniel mix when I was a kid, a collie when my kids were young, and most recently a German shepherd. Each had their own personality and I have special memories of each one of them. I have taken care of older dogs and younger dogs. I can handle the energy of younger dogs and the needs of older ones. We have always seen our pets as members of the family and I hope you will allow me to see your dog in the same way. I have friends that I have stayed at their house for a couple of weeks to spend time with their dog while they were on vacation. We went for walks twice a day and had a lot of time playing together. I work remotely in my job so I am happy to work from wherever is needed to take care of your pet. My schedule is flexible and I will work hard to accommodate the schedule of you pet. If you just need someone to come to walk your dog or just spend time with your cat, I have the flexibility in my day to do that. My first goal is to make your dog or cat comfortable with my visit. If I'm staying in your home, I will follow the routine you have set to do just that.

About: I've taken care of 3 dogs and a cat at once for years, and I can walk them in any weather conditions (even the tundra of Rochester). I've also had lots of experience with dogs and their medications as well as energetic dogs. I am a full-time college student at RIT, so Monday-Friday I have classes from 8am-5pm. I can do drop ins on Tuesdays and Thursdays midday (11-2pm) and house sitting from Friday nights to Sunday nights. In addition to the bare minimum of feeding pets and taking them on walks and outside, I also love to give them affection and play with them.

Tatiana came exactly at the time I asked her to every single day and spent ample time with Goose. She provided me with such detailed notes after each visit....I tend to get pretty nervous leaving my cat but her detailed notes were AMAZING and let me know everything I could have wanted to, from his litter box habits, to what he wanted to play with, etc. She also provided tons of pictures of Goose playing and hanging out. About: I grew up in a family with plenty of dogs, cats, and other critters and spent lots of time in 4-H clubs and at horse stables before I started fostering dogs at 15. Over about 3 years, I was the primary caregiver to 14 foster dogs ranging from 10-pound Chihuahuas to 90-pound American Bulldogs and from puppies to seniors. Having had difficult pasts before making it into a rescue, most of those dogs had some behavioral or medical issues (and often a combination of the two), so I built plenty of patience around training and even more familiarity with medical regimens. After graduating high school, I continued pet-sitting the cats and dogs of friends, neighbors, and family whenever I had a chance. Now that I’ve got a typical full-time job, I love using my weekends and evenings looking after other's pets! I work a normal weekday 9-5, so I'm typically only available evenings and nights, but am also willing to make early mornings work under particular circumstances. In a client’s home for housesitting or drop-ins, I like to make sure pets are engaged and having fun so they have a full day even when their people aren’t around. I’m also happy to incorporate any training regimens a client is trying to establish. During over-night stays, I’m used to waking up for frequent potty breaks or for medical needs. I also stay very conscious of what will make the pets most comfortable and establish trust with them – whether that means giving them space or letting them stick with me 24/7 – so missing their family is as minimally stressful as possible. For walking services, I’m happy to adjust our pace and distance to make sure pets have all their excess energy out by the time they get home. I'm a runner so that includes runs for high-energy dogs. If a senior pet just likes to get outside during the day without the focus on exercise, I keep a very close eye on their energy level to make sure we take appropriate breaks or wrap up the walk before they push their limits. At the end of the day/visit, I like to give clients a recap of what their pets were up to, including the big and small things, just to make sure everyone’s in the loop and knows what’s going on in their pet’s life.

About: Hello! I'm Katie! I've been caring for animals for as long as I've been able to, ranging from cats and dogs to guinea pigs, livestock, reptiles, aquatics, invertebrates, and more! Nowadays I am a hobbyist gecko breeder and have a managerie of different reptiles as well as two beloved cats. I'm comfortable and have experience and love for all sorts of dogs, big and small, regardless of age and breed. I have experience walking dogs that are large and/or reactive, positive reinforcement training, administering oral medication and more. I'm excited to have the chance help you and your pets! About: I’ve had a dog in the house since I was eight years old. Growing up with a pitbull as my childhood dog. Two pitbulls in the house after our first one passed. I take them on walks. Have been to training sessions with them. Confident taking care of dogs and just adopted my own in January. I am currently a D1 student athlete. My classes this semester are pretty light. I have no classes M, W, or F so am most free those 3 days. I would love to fit pet care daily into times that work. Some things I've done for my dogs: I have a fenced in backyard, throw toys around the yard for them. Both of my dogs have harnesses and prong collars for walks. They are fed twice a day. Their paws are washed off when its muddy outside.
