“Kim was wonderful with our cat, she was able to get him to come out from under our bed on several occasions, and he now loves to see her! She is very detailed in her daily rover card description, and sends lots of adorable pictures 😻 We are so unbelievably happy with our experience, and highly recommend her for anyone with a shy cat!”

“I'm away for a long time this trip in Asia. With the time difference, comes my anxiety for Soju's wellbeing. David has been so kind and helpful, with all the cute pics and daily Rover cards that made me comfortable and reassured. I will not hesitate to book him again in a heartbeat.”

“Destiny was a fantastic caregiver for our shy cavapoo, Sadie. She did a couple of drop in visits while we were out of town. She was punctual and thoughtful. The updates and photos were greatly appreciated. I would absolutely use her again!”

“Gigi was very personable and did a great job taking care of Gus during the drop-in visit. She gave him lots of love, and we'll definitely be booking her in the future as well. Thank you Gigi!”

About: I have always had dogs and cats as a part of my family and I also spent a lot of time cat sitting for friends and family. My family fostered puppies and dogs for several years through a local organization! I am in school studying animal behavior and have done an internship at a cat shelter giving enrichment and behavior training to the particularly shy cats. I work part time, only 3-5 hours a day at a shop a few minutes from my house. Other than work and quick errands from time to time I’m home full time otherwise! I have a huge backyard that is not fenced in, however your pet would have full on leash supervised access to the yard! I have an older cat who gets along very well with other animals.
“Katie is extremely responsible and flexible to work with. Our kitties were very happy and well cared for, and we didn't have to worry for a minute while we were away. I highly recommend Katie.”

“This was my first experience using the Rover app and it was a blessing to find Alana after trying to find replacement after my original sitter couldn’t do it anymore for health reasons. Alana was excellent in communicating with me on a daily basis along with sharing pictures of my cat Gracie…which was awesome. If I could give her 1000 stars I would I highly recommend Alana to taking care of your animals. Thank you Alana!”

About: Animals need human contact and love. exercise is important and keeps a dog healthy. I have had rescue cats most of my life and recently have taken care of my daughter's dog when out of town I am retired now and have available time. I am up by 6:00 AM every morning I love to walk and it is part of my daily routine. I have a cat and keep her on a healthy schedule and annual vet appt. With a dog, I follow the instructions of the owner. They may be on medication, eat certain types of food etc.
About: I've had several dogs in my life, smaller and larger dogs. I had a cocker spaniel mix when I was a kid, a collie when my kids were young, and most recently a German shepherd. Each had their own personality and I have special memories of each one of them. I have taken care of older dogs and younger dogs. I can handle the energy of younger dogs and the needs of older ones. We have always seen our pets as members of the family and I hope you will allow me to see your dog in the same way. I have friends that I have stayed at their house for a couple of weeks to spend time with their dog while they were on vacation. We went for walks twice a day and had a lot of time playing together. I work remotely in my job so I am happy to work from wherever is needed to take care of your pet. My schedule is flexible and I will work hard to accommodate the schedule of you pet. If you just need someone to come to walk your dog or just spend time with your cat, I have the flexibility in my day to do that. My first goal is to make your dog or cat comfortable with my visit. If I'm staying in your home, I will follow the routine you have set to do just that.

“Kathryn is a very nice sitter! She follows the instructions carefully and being really nice to my cats. She will contact me in time or asking for more she could help. Most importantly, she has the cutest window stickers!”

“HUGE thank you to MacKenzie for doing this one-off semi last-minute visit with my pups and her continued patience with my one dog who is a little more nervous and difficult. She is a blessing and I will always be grateful for her love and care she gives my pups while I am away.”

About: I can’t wait to meet your pet! I am a vet student at Long Island University home for the summer looking for pet sitting opportunities. I have 5 years experience in a vet/ kennel setting. Given this, I am comfortable with pets of all needs. Currently working part time but I can be flexible and work around when you need me. I love to be active or just chill on the couch, whatever fits best with your pets typical lifestyle. I have many years of professional experience dealing with a wide range of pets. Pet safety is my number one priority. My first step as your pets new sitter will be to develop a safety plan so that you can have piece of mind.
“Lindsey was great! Our meet and great went well and i felt right away that she was perfect. She has the experience and background that made me comfortable. Lindsey followed all of my crazy long notes and specifications. She did everything we asked and how we wanted it. I was able to be at work and not have to worry about the care my (fur)kids were receiving, I received good updates and detailed post visit notes. We are very cautious on who we let in our home and with our dogs. But I am extremely happy and confident with Linsey. We already booked her for our next two visits.”

“We’ve booked with Kayligh several times for our cat who needs insulin shots and is very human social. He usually gets very lonely without some company. It’s such a difference with him when she comes while we are gone. Highly recommend her!”
About: Me: I’ve loved and taken care of pets since I was very young! We always had several pets in the home growing up including cats, pregnant cats, kittens, dogs of all sizes, birds (parakeets and a parrot), fish, gerbils and even mice. I’m a recently retired massage therapist and yoga teacher and will offer an approach of ease, relaxation and joy to your pets - that is my style! I’m very punctual, organized and reliable as I’ve run my own holistic health care small business for over 20 years. Current: More recently I’ve raised several cats from kitten-hood through end of life and adopted a young feral cat that was able to become domesticated. My husband and I help the community/feral cats in our neighborhood every day with food and outdoor shelter. Cat Care Experience: We had three senior cats that all lived to be about 18 years old, so have lots of experience with senior pets that have chronic and acute health conditions. This includes: feline respiratory disease, kidney disease, late in life/late stage FIV, thyroid disease, UTIs, dehydration, and pain management. Our cat Luna needed saline infusions for kidney disease frequently at home so I’m very comfortable giving cats intramuscular fluids via a bag/giving set. I’m also very well practiced in administering cats medications both oral and topical, cat inhalers and grooming cats (basic grooming). If there is another health condition your cat has please contact me and we can discuss their needs, I’m not squeamish and with a strong background in health I can learn quickly about your pets conditions - if you need help with medical pet care even while you are home I can assist with that - sometimes it takes two people to treat the cats we love so much! Contact me to discuss the situation! Small Dog Care Experience: I’ve been helping my family and friends out with their dogs forever, including day visits and long term pet sitting for dogs of all ages and puppies. Currently I can only help with puppies and small dogs 15 pounds and under. Due to some arthritis I’m unable to walk the dogs that are larger than 15 pounds, but would love to help with puppies and small breeds! This includes walks, home visits and medication administration. Other small pets: I can also do visits for basic bird care, fish/aquarium and small mammal care. Medical Transport/Vet Visits: I’m happy to discuss pet transportation to their local vets and groomers as needed. Contact me for review of your pet’s transport needs! I’m recently retired so am very flexible after 12pm most days. I can do weekends with some lead time, and later evenings if needed. Contact me to discuss availability. I care very deeply about our furry friends and will treat them with the same love, care and understanding I would give my own pets. One of my favorite quotes about pet care is “you can’t get mad at a dog for being a dog”. In our home the cats ruled and even have a catio for safe outdoor time. I hope to share a sense of love and joy with all fur babies I meet! I’m also very respectful and tidy and will take care of your home as well as your pets!
“Hollis was an absolute angel for my little man Peter. He kept him company, followed my directions, showed kindness and compassion. He even did my dishes and room out the trash which wasn’t part of the job! We had one miscommunication which he cleared up and made up for. I would hire Hollis again and recommend him.”

About: I grew up in a family with plenty of dogs, cats, and other critters and spent lots of time in 4-H clubs and at horse stables before I started fostering dogs at 15. Over about 3 years, I was the primary caregiver to 14 foster dogs ranging from 10-pound Chihuahuas to 90-pound American Bulldogs and from puppies to seniors. Having had difficult pasts before making it into a rescue, most of those dogs had some behavioral or medical issues (and often a combination of the two), so I built plenty of patience around training and even more familiarity with medical regimens. After graduating high school, I continued pet-sitting the cats and dogs of friends, neighbors, and family whenever I had a chance. Now that I’ve got a typical full-time job, I love using my weekends and evenings looking after other's pets! I work Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:30pm, so I'm typically only available evenings and nights during the week, but am also willing to make early mornings work under particular circumstances. If you're within the city of Rochester, I may be able to make brief mid-day stops even on days I'm working. Happy to discuss details and find flexible solutions for everyone involved! In a client’s home for housesitting or drop-ins, I like to make sure pets are engaged and having fun so they have a full day even when their people aren’t around. I’m also happy to incorporate any training regimens a client is trying to establish. During over-night stays, I’m used to waking up for frequent potty breaks or for medical needs. I also stay very conscious of what will make the pets most comfortable and establish trust with them – whether that means giving them space or letting them stick with me 24/7 – so missing their family is as minimally stressful as possible. For walking services, I’m happy to adjust our pace and distance to make sure pets have all their excess energy out by the time they get home. I'm a runner so that includes runs for high-energy dogs. If a senior pet just likes to get outside during the day without the focus on exercise, I keep a very close eye on their energy level to make sure we take appropriate breaks or wrap up the walk before they push their limits. At the end of the day/visit, I like to give clients a recap of what their pets were up to, including the big and small things, just to make sure everyone’s in the loop and knows what’s going on in their pet’s life.
