“Kathryn has done an amazing job with Gus in the couple weeks she’s been coming to let him out! He’s so much happier when I get home from work now after a long day! Thank you!!”

“We’ve booked with Kayligh several times for our cat who needs insulin shots and is very human social. He usually gets very lonely without some company. It’s such a difference with him when she comes while we are gone. Highly recommend her!”
“Alana was on time for each check in and gave our German shepherd lots of love! She did great with administering his meds 2x per day and took him on lots of walks! Highly recommend!”

“Kim was phenomenal! Very thorough in her reporting, providing details in not just what my fur babies di on their own, but how they interacted with each other and their overall demeanor. It was as if I was there myself. She even checked in on my cats even though it wasn't required and provided plentiful amounts of pictures, which I greatly appreciated. With this being my first pet sitting experience outside of my family and through an app, I am extremely impressed and would not only highly recommend Kim, but will keep her on top of my list as a go-to for future needs. Loki and Rose approve this message!”

“Karibian was a lifesaver for our family! We had somewhat limited notice to needing our girls cared for and she stepped in and helped us. The girls were so happy to see her each visit, even though they had never met. All the photos of smiles and snuggles made this mommas heart happy. I highly recommend her service and will definitely rebook with her again!”

“Just had another fantastic experience with Gigi as my dog sitter! She continues to impress with her genuine care and attention to detail. My dog absolutely adores her, and I always feel confident leaving him in her capable hands. Highly recommend Gigi for anyone needing a reliable and loving pet sitter!”

“As always thanks for everything and fun time with the dogs!! I will like to book June drop in session. Let me know if you are getting busy or if I can check your schedule. If there are bad times, I will work around your schedule. Have a great weekend 😀”

“Nikki took excellent care of our two dogs while we were away for a long weekend. I wouldn’t hesitate to have her back- our boys were happy and well taken care of when we got home!”

About: I have had pets since I was a kid. I had dogs, cats, birds, fish, lizards, Guinea pigs. I currently have a husky now. I have a big heart for animals. I will help take care of any dog/cat. I am available after 3pm weekdays due to work and all day on weekends. If I can’t come for whatever reason, such my son being sick or an appointment, my boyfriend is able too. My dog is crate trained and he goes on walks daily. I will be able to take your dog out on walks and let them run in the backyard, if you have a fenced in yard. I will feed them and play with them and keep them stimulated.
“Madeline was awesome! She was communicative, sent wonderful photos, and did a great job! We were able to rest easy knowing our cat was in great hands while we’re away! Thanks, Madeline!”

“Our experience with Mia was EVERYTHING we needed to feel comfortable leaving our two cats. Not only did we receive the cutest photos of them while we were away, Mia took time to write out detailed reports on what happened during each visit. Our cats were very comfortable with Mia and that gave us a huge sense of ease on our vacation. If you're searching for a pet sitter, look no more! We would happily have Mia watch our two fur babies again. Thank you Mia! ?”

“Our cats were so happy with Kate! She is a thoughtful, considerate, and kind pet sitter, which shows in her daily check-ins. We're beyond thankful and delighted with the care she provided.”

“Our cat, Chumley, took to Madison right away. She has a wonderful kind and loving energy. We felt very comfortable having Madison come into our home while we were away. Madison sent us the cutest picture of Chumley while visiting with him. We are very pleased with her service and highly recommend her! Thank you Madison!!!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wheatland Center. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 93% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
