Animal care, house sitting, dog walking, etc transitioned to became my full time job in August of 2022. I was able to leave my work from home job and start doing this and such my availability and schedule are very flexible.

I will keep to the provided instructions for pet and home care when staying in a clients home. I strive to leave a place or person(or animal) better than I found it. I am willing to travel with your pets as well for any scheduled appointments or to exercise them at local dog parks or parks that allow dogs. I am an avid hiker and would love to take them for hikes if so desired. I also have significant experience with cat care and am willing to do the same for cats as I am for dogs. If there are any other animals in the house I am willing to discuss my experience and level of comfort with caring for them as well.

I love to know as much as possible about your dog(s) ahead of time; from breed to sleeping preferences and dietary needs and special quirks about your furry loved one. I will ask many questions during meet and greets to make sure I have a full picture of what your pets need.
A typical day
I love being active and hiking at all times of the year. If there are parks or trails near by we will definitely take advantage of those. I will use any toys and preferred activities that the owner describes as well that is part of the typical day.

Pet care experience
After 17 years of both personal and professional domestic animal care I decided to make it my full time job. I have experience with all domestic animals from dogs and cats to fish, small mammals, reptiles, birds, etc.; and what I don't know I am more than willing and excited to learn. My experience comes from my personal animal ownership, dogs, cats, a snake, fish and even a rat. It also stems from professional experience working at a boarding kennel/shelter, Pet Supplies Plus, 2+ years of Rover work, and volunteering with Rescued Treasures Pet Adoptions.

Kelsey is amazing. My cats act are not at all stressed when I return from trips. She has excellent communication and is extremely accommodating.

When Kelsy housesits and provides pet care for our extended travel. we know that our pets ane home are cared for very well. We come home to a house that is cleaner than when we left and pets who look forward to seeing Kelsey the next time she sit sor us. Our new dog MAREE snuggled with Kelsey and will look forward to seeing her again soon.
