“Kelli was a wonderful pet sitter for my two Munchkin cats! Mochi, needed medication daily and she had no issues administering. Mochi can be difficult at times! Hachi, the shy/skittish brother was very happy with Kelli. She gave him extra pets and was happy Kelli was a human cat bed! I received several photos and updates everyday. I would definitely recommend Kelli to sit for your pets too!”

About: I was born and raised to love dogs. I grew up in a household that bred Rottweilers and I could not be anymore grateful for the lessons of love and care for animals it instilled in me. I began caring for other's pets when I was in high school. Over a decade later I have had experience in short and long-term overnight care/house sitting, day-visits, walks, and some medication administration for pets of all ages and sizes. I have a special spot in my heart for senior pets and giving them the extra love and care they deserve. I know that every home and pet has unique needs and ways to be taken care of. I believe with clear communication I am able to approach each new pet care situation with confidence that we can both feel when you leave your loved ones in my care! I am currently just working part time and have lots of flexibility/weekend availability. I love to take early morning walks with dogs, especially given that it's summer I keep the heat in mind and have availability during the cooler hours. I have reliable transportation to come to your home! I am a very organized and clean person so if I am welcomed into your home I assure it will be treated with respect and care. For walks I believe I am very observant and aware of my surroundings, ensuring safety for both myself and your pet(s).
About: Hello! I am a PhD student at UofR who enjoys spending time outdoors and caring for pets. I'm turning to Rover to find new clients after previously babysitting both cats and dogs in my apartment building, whose owners have recently moved away. I enjoy taking dogs on long walks and hikes, and have experience with many animals, having spent most of my life on a farm. I would love the opportunity to care for your pets and keep them happy and active! I am happy to provide references. As a student, my schedule is busiest midweek, but I have plenty of free time on weekends and can easily accommodate mornings and evenings. Mondays and Fridays are also more flexible, making them great days for drop-ins, walks, or house sitting visits. I want to make sure your pets feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I do have a car and can transport larger dogs if needed, but I usually prefer caring for pets in their own home. I can do drop-in visits, house sitting, and taking dogs on walks in your neighborhood or mine (wherever they feel most at ease).
“5 Stars aren't enough for the quality care Michele provided our precious little one. Something about her stood out in our initial search and after the meet and greet we saw why. Her confident, comfortable demeanor instantly put both my partner & I as well as our anxious, senior dog at ease. It was apparent how much she genuinely loves animals by hearing her share countless past experiences. She was thorough in asking all the right questions & covered all the bases addressing our dogs needs, respectful, on time, was fantastic at communicating, sent photos, was flexible & trustworthy-- I can't say enough good things. There are pages of dog sitters to sort thru, I'm not sure how we got this lucky, but Michele checked all of our (many) boxes and ones we didn't know needed checking! She sets the bar high. I wish we found her sooner and wholeheartedly recommend! We look forward to having her come again!”

Linda did a great job caring for my cat who requires two visits daily because she’s on medication. I appreciated the timeliness of her visits and the clear communication. Everything was tidy and in great condition when we got home. I plan to use Linda’s services the next time we’re in need of a cat sitter!

Kelli was amazing with our kitties! They warmed up to her quickly, which is not always the case. Kelli had great communication and sent amazing pictures everyday. Her great care allowed us to not worry about our boys while we were away. 100% recommend and would book again.

I only expected someone to stop in briefly to feed our two cats for a few days, but Rylee really did make herself their bff ! She was thoughtful with their feeding as one gets sick if he overeats and the other was on a new diet. She spent lots of time giving them attention and cuddles, and engaging them in play. She was respectful of our home and is an excellent and responsive communicator. From now on I can rest easy knowing who I’m going to contact for a friendsitter for Jet and Marvin—Rylee all the way. Thanks Rylee!
Kasia was great with our animals! Our dog is an anxious boy, and we've never left him with anyone but family for only a night or two. She took care of our animals over a week, and earned my dog's full trust! She's very patient and thorough, and went above and beyond to squeeze in an extra visit when we didn't have someone to help! Thank you!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in East Rochester. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
