“Jodi, was great with our boxer Elsie. She clearly loves the fur babies that she gets to take care of. Elsie was with Jodi for daycare for 5 days. She was always happy to jump out of the car and run up the driveway to great Jodi at the door. She was very accommodating with our time schedule. Elsie had lots of play time and enjoyed her afternoon naps on the comfy sofas. We would definitely recommend Jodi to care for your pets.”

About: I have 25 years of experience training and caring for dogs. My journey started when I took my Labrador to a training class. I continued reading books and watching training videos and applying the knowledge to have a well behaved dog. To this day I have continued to apply all I have learned with the animals entrusted in my care. I have been approached by friends and neighbors to assist them in the care and training of their dogs and it continues to be a passion of mine. My home and I are readily available for any and all of your furry loved ones. I look forward to providing a calm, assertive and balanced environment where your dog would feel comfortable and safe in my care.
About: I am an avid dog lover and have owned my own fur babies for the past 20 years. They truly complete my life. I have experience with all ages, sizes, and breeds. The I am also comfortable with walking reactive dogs. Your dog will be safe and will receive my full love and affection like they are my own. I currently work from home with a very flexible schedule so caring for you dog will be a priority. I am also flexible when it comes to any schedule adjustments needed. I have a large backyard, not fenced. If your dog requires a leash, I live by a nice quiet neighborhood for longer walks, as well as a beautiful park to relax. There will be lots of outside time. All dogs are welcome on my bed and furniture. I also have doggy beds if they prefer to sleep on the floor and plenty of toys and treats.

About: Hi, I am a volunteer EMT and have a life long passion for dogs and all animals. On my spare time, my wife (Melinda) and I enjoy various aspects of the outdoors, no matter the season. We frequently pet sit for my brother-in law's German Shepard, who is full of energy, of which I have learned all the commands and public interaction techniques. This has been ongoing for approximately the past 4 years. * Melinda and I extensively clean and disinfect our house not only before and after each dog but also on a regular basis as well. We are excited to be part of your dog care needs and you can be sure your pets will be well taken care of with us as a smooth transition. Whether it is walking, playing, or pet sitting, we are here to help! Please message us as you know your plans. Thank you for your consideration and we look forward to hearing from you! Conveniently I work very close to home and can come home to check on the puppy on my lunch break though that time varies from day to day. We have a long lead in our backyard that we can adjust accordingly and we are always outside with your fur-baby. We also have friendly neighbors and multiple eyes checking in periodically. My wife and I have a fleece-lined jacket 4 any puppy to help combat the weather. Additionally we have couch protectors, Memory Foam bed, a basket of toys, and food and water dish set up

About: I’ve had dogs and cats since childhood so am familiar and comfortable with walking, feeding, cleaning and taking care of animals. Our family loves dogs and since we don’t have one at the moment we’re enjoying spending time with the dogs we dog-sit for! I’m currently a stay at home Mom and home most of the week, so able to walk a dog easily or take it out to the bathroom as needed. I have a large fenced in yard for your dog to enjoy. “Elliot and Dominque are wonderful! I’ve used them for daycare a couple of times to get my pup comfortable there before an upcoming trip next month. I know he’ll be in good hands. I very much appreciate their professionalism and frequent communication/updates!”

“We have kindly booked DayCare service for our pup in the last minutes, and Ashley actually responded us pretty soon and efficiently. When we arrived her place, there're so many adorable kitties and pups, as well as the sweet kids. While we picked our pup up, we clearly felt that our girl was totally satisfied and tired (played with others the whole day perhaps? hehe), Ashley is very caring and loving, her place is so lovely, we will definitely send our pup here next time while she's available!”
About: I provide care for dogs in various formats such as sitting, walking, and boarding and more. If your dog likes to pick up the pace during a walk I am sure to match it, as I experienced this with a German Shepherd. I know that with my experience with numerous dog breeds, I am a good fit for the services I offer. I will take care of and love your dog as if they are mine. I have flexibility with my schedule and am able to drive to your dogs appointments if as needed. If your dog has closer interval schedules or attention needs for health, I have the availability. “Susan is absolutely wonderful! She took excellent care of our 11 year old Shih Tzu, Teddy! He hadn't been eating much the day before we dropped him off, so she worked with him to see that he ate his food and took all of his meds. She kept us up-to-date - sending photos and videos during his stay. Susan made Teddy feel at home and made it a worry-free stay for us! Definitely recommend!”

“Michele watched my dog for the day on short notice. He is energetic and needy and she did a wonderful job with him- he seemed very comfortable there. We would definitely consider using her services again in the future.”

“Levi is awesome to work with! My dog Alfie absolutely loves going to daycare everyday and comes home so tired and happy, which makes me very happy too. I love the pictures and updates I receive throughout the day and Levi has been so accommodating with schedule changes. Would recommend without a doubt!”

“Susan was so willing to take care of my disabled.dog for a night and an afternoon. Susan communicated with me along the way and did everything she could to make my pup comfortable. Susan picked up and dropped off my pup on time and with a smile! Thank you!”

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
