About: I have had pets my whole life growing up. I’ve had dogs, cats, fish, and even rabbits! In fact, my mom has 2 dogs (Finley and Millie) that I helped take care of and train for years. Finley is a golden retriever and Millie is a chihuahua so my experience with different dog breeds is very diverse! I love walking dogs and getting to know each of their individual personalities. About: I have always lived with pets! :) I grew up with dogs Ella and Koikkie when I was little, and loved walking and playing with them. In college I couldn't have a dog, but I did get my first cat, Oliver. He was more or less feral when we found him but with lots of love and food, he became a lap cat with a happy home on a farm. Two years ago I moved to Ithaca, and have two 3-year old Siberian cats, Nadja and Moose. They need a lot of exercise and play which includes taking them out on leashes to walk around the block. I also frequently cat sit for my friends who have a mix of young and old cats. I'm currently working part-time 5 days a week. I am available for weekend pet-sitting and short visits during the week. I work until 3pm on weekdays, and am available at most times on the weekend. I am more than happy to stay in your home with your pet, and would love to give them treats and attention. Nicole is the best sitter I’ve ever encountered-I love her and so do my cats! She really bonds with and pays attention to your pets and your home. She did an incredible job, everything is so clean and thoughtful and the cats had a great time with her. I’m so glad to be working with her-I can travel without any anxiety about their well-being, both physically and emotionally.
Joey was an amazing sitter!! They gave very detailed accounts of their visits, and made sure to keep me updated on anything of note. I really appreciated the thoroughness of their care and their commitment to building a relationship with my cat! Furthermore, they were extremely accommodating when I had to make last minute changes to my booking, which was a headache saved!
Maria was amazing!! She was so kind and patient with my sweet (albeit difficult) cat! My cat has a bunch of health issues, and Maria did a wonderful job navigating them, including giving her meds! She kept in contact with me, sending pictures and updates that really helped put my mind at ease while I was travelling, knowing that my cat was in good hands! She was quick to respond to both my booking request and my questions, and was willing to set up a meet-and-greet with me and my cat, so that I knew she was in good hands. This is the most relaxing vacation I’ve had in years, knowing that my high-needs cat was in good hands. I will never book anybody else!!! She was so kind and patient, and my cat really liked her too! Maria did a wonderful job, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for somebody trustworthy to check in on their pet.
Gianni did a fantastic job with our cat while we were out of town. He was very reliable with his check-ins, updates, and making sure that Baloo had everything that he needed. Even better, our shy cat seemed to love Gianni and enjoy his visits. We definitely recommend him.
Rachel did an outstanding job. She came everyday at the same time as I had requested, gave my cat her medications, brushed her and played with her, and kept the litter box tidy. Receiving daily photos is a real plus; it meant I was not worried about my pet’s care. In sum, Rachel is great and I would hire her again in a heartbeat.
Jennifer is an energetic and enthusiastic dog walker! She was super puntual, and it was a great relief to me to have her here while I am convalescing from an accident. She started on short notice, which really saved me. She took my doggie on nice long walks despite very cold temperatures, and was incredibly helpful all around. I absolutely recommend her for walking dogs and probably any kind of animal care, since she clearly loves animals. A really lovely woman. 5 stars 🌟
Due to Alex's extensive background in animal care, I felt very comfortable leaving my cat in Alex's care for drop in visits during a 9 day trip! Alex was meticulous with following the rules of Rover and had careful business practices, such as staying on platform for all communication and waiting to accept the booking until after our meet and greet went well. Alex was also meticulous with Mocha's care. I have some very complicated instructions for the care of this finicky senior kitty (special food prep, pills, tooth brushing, recording amount of food consumed) and Alex did a great job following them! As an added bonus, Alex even cleaned the floor around Mocha's food bowl without my asking! Would hire this sitter again. Thank you Alex!
