I have chosen to be a pet care provider as a way to earn money because I really enjoy being around animals. I grew up with two dogs and have been employed in Ithaca since 2011 in taking care of several families' cats and dogs, including one family for over 6 years. My responsibilities have included feeding and playing with pets, and walking dogs on a regular basis as well as when owners are on vacation. I have also stayed overnight at clients' homes. I have a reliable car, I answer texts promptly, and I will always be respectful of your home. My schedule is flexible so I try to accommodate your schedule. I can provide references upon request. I look forward to meeting you and your dogs.

Safety of the pet and the owner’s home is my number one priory. I also really enjoy spending time with your pet. I provide excellent communication and updates through text, photos, email, and videos.

Awesome cat sitter!
John took care of our cat Snowball via drop-in visits while we were away off and on for two weeks in the summer. John was excellent in every way! Before the trip, he came over to meet Snowball, asked lots of questions, and took detailed notes. He took fantastic care of her, sending detailed updates each day with photos (which my daughter loved!). As first-time cat owners, were so thankful she was in good hands. John was wonderful and we would highly recommend him! Thank you, John!
John was communicative and very affable, which was appreciated. He took notes during the meet and greet and was thorough. He updated me and sent pictures. He was 1 hr and 5 mins late to the appointment. I do understand he was trying to manage his own schedule, however, my senior dog requires timely walks as he is prone to UTIs (he got one after this appointment, unfortunately). I recommend managing expectations in the future if your pets have certain needs. Additionally, I was disappointed that he accessed a floor in my house, for unclear reasons, that was not on the meet and greet tour. My dog doesn’t go to that floor on his own, so that was a privacy concern. Obtaining clarity from clients about what areas are available to access would be helpful in the future.
John's communication was very clear and consistent. It was great to have him available at the last minute to help us out. Thank you!

I am self employed with pet care as my primary business. I offer customized care, flexible hours including weekends and holidays. I can meet your needs on a one time or a regular recurring basis.
