I'm a huge animal lover and am the friend at the party who loves to hang out with the household pet. I grew up in a dog family and have been caring for our family dogs my entire life. I have experience with elderly dog care, medication (including insulin injections), home made food, diapers, and mobility aids. I have a pup of my own, Lou, who is a corgi Aussie mix who also has a rover dog walker on days I work in person for my corporate job. I have puppysat and done checkins for all of my friends and family over the years. I am currently only offering check in visits and would love to help care for your pup! Whether that's getting some energy out in the yard, playing with some toys inside, administering medication, or making sure your furry friend is fed and watered!

My approach to pet care is always to prioritize you pets comfort and safety. I have taken some training classes for my own dog and believe in the power of positive reinforcement as well as respecting each pet's boundaries. Each animal has such a distinct personality that requires a unique approach to love and play. I am excited to learn your pets personality and earn their trust!

Riss was absolutely wonderful with our two Havanese, Bastien and Tally! She was timely, attentive, responsible, and immediately put me at ease, plus the pups took to her immediately as well :) Tally is still a puppy and actively learning his house manners, and I was especially impressed that Riss took the initiative to work on some training exercises with him while she was here. It was clear that she was genuinely engaged with both dogs rather than simply keeping an eye on them. Riss is also warm, sociable, and incredibly easy to talk to. I felt completely comfortable leaving the boys in her care, and I would not hesitate to have her watch them again. We’re so glad we found her and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful, responsible, and caring sitter!
Riss has been the best caregiver for our dogs. The dogs are always happy and excited to see her when she comes to the door. Any directions given for walking, playing, feeding and handling medications are always done exactly as requested. She has even cared for one of our dogs who was a senior and required daily insulin injections.. Riss learned quickly how to administer the medication which made me feel comfortable and knew our dogs would be lovingly and joyfully in good hands under her care. It is easy to 100% recommend Riss to anyone looking for an experienced and responsible person.
Riss is kind, considerate and incredibly thoughtful. She has been a very close friend for many years and has pet sat for me a few times while we were in college. She was always so kind to my cats, providing me with updates while I was away, and I always returned to happy kitties, which anyone who has cats can attest is a toughy! She’s truly a pet lover and I have and would trust her with my pets’ safety and wellbeing.
Our dogs just love Riss. They are always so excited to see her. She easily and quickly bonded with each of them. She is attentive and provides excellent care.
Riss took great care of my cat, Percy. He can be kind of shy with people he doesn’t know and is super picky about his routines. Riss followed all of our instructions to a t and kept us updated on how he was doing while we were away. She even sent a picture of him sitting on her lap! We were thrilled to see Percy made a new friend and will book Riss in the future.

Schedule
I currently work in corporate America but am available for long weekends Thursday-Sunday. I work remotely on Thursday & Fridays with schedule flexibility, and I am completely available Saturday and Sunday.
