About: As a pre-veterinary student and veterinary assistant, I combine professional animal care experience with my genuine love for our fur babies! I have over 700 hours of experience working in a boarding kennel and animal hospital. My responsibilities included caring for dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, temperaments, and medical needs. Specifically, multiple daily walks, administering daily medications, following detailed feeding and care instructions, monitoring animal health and behavior, and providing enrichment to keep pets mentally and physically engaged. I have experience caring for puppies, senior pets, and animals that may be anxious or reactive. My background in veterinary medicine and current major ensure I am around animals almost every day, so I am sure to recognize changes in behavior or health. In addition to my kennel experience, I have spent years pet sitting for neighbors, friends, and family. My pet-sitting experience helps me provide the individualized care and affection that pets need to feel comfortable while their owners are away. I treat every pet as if it were my own and strive to make both pets and owners feel safe and comfortable with my care. I am currently conducting independently paced research at Cornell’s College of Veterinary Medicine, which gives me a very flexible schedule. Because I set my own hours, I am able to easily incorporate pet care into my daily routine, providing me with the ability to be reliable and attentive to each pet’s individual routine and needs. I am comfortable with crating, leashing, walking, feeding, administering basic medications if needed, and following any routines provided by the owner. I make sure doors and leashes are secure at all times, closely monitor pets during walks and outdoor time, and keep them on their normal feeding and exercise schedules. About: I have always lived with pets! :) I grew up with dogs Ella and Koikkie when I was little, and loved walking and playing with them. In college I couldn't have a dog, but I did get my first cat, Oliver. He was more or less feral when we found him but with lots of love and food, he became a lap cat with a happy home on a farm. Two years ago I moved to Ithaca, and have two 3-year old Siberian cats, Nadja and Moose. They need a lot of exercise and play which includes taking them out on leashes to walk around the block. I also frequently cat sit for my friends who have a mix of young and old cats. I'm currently working part-time 5 days a week. I am available for weekend pet-sitting and short visits during the week. I work until 3pm on weekdays, and am available at most times on the weekend. I am more than happy to stay in your home with your pet, and would love to give them treats and attention. I love spending time with pets and can send you daily photos at their cutest moments :)

About: Hi there! My name is Bella, and I've never met an animal I didn't adore like my own! Growing up, I've had five large dogs, three cats, as well as several fish and hamsters. From pet sitting, to long or short walks, I’ve got experience and would love to help! I've cared for dogs with problems such as hypothyroidism, strokes, and blindness, and I am able to give them their required oral medication. I have also dealt with dogs that have a prey drive and may need to be walked alone and with precaution. Whatever type of pet you have, I'd love to take care of them!! I am in Ithaca until the end of September as I am here temporarily for an internship. To get an idea of my location, I am a 10 minute walk from the Ithaca commons. I work 4 days a week at my internship, so I am available full time for pet care on the weekends, and available for drop ins or walks around 6:30-8 pm on weekends days. In addition to a normal walk I can take them to the park and meet other dogs. I always remember to bring water on walks and to make sure they got enough exercise in! When doing drop-ins I can also brush them.
