“Ariana was fantastic! She was extremely communicative and gave very detailed updates. My cat is very shy around new people and she was very accommodating of this. She made sure to ask me lots of questions so that she could make my cat as comfortable as possible, which I greatly appreciated. I would definitely book with Ariana again.”

“Jenna was an astounding pet sitter for Roxy. She went way above and beyond and really was determined to make friends with Roxy, who is a very persnickety cat and only loves me. I would recommend Jenna to anyone! If there was an option for 30 stars, I would give her a 31 star review.”

“Victoria is an incredible cat sitter. Our cats require a lot of time and attention, and she handled all of their idiosyncrasies with incredible dexterity. We would highly recommend. She was able to give one of our cats both immunotherapy injections and eyedrops. She communicated well and consistently, and we always felt that our cats were in the best of hands. The best, five stars, two thumbs up, certified fresh.”

“I can not begin to describe how amazing it was to have Nichole watch my pup. She was friendly, reliable, punctual, and flexible. It was clear my girl was very well taken care of while I was gone. Nichole was able to accommodate for changes in my trip dates and was available very last minute. She maintained excellent communication and I could tell she really enjoyed spending time with my pup. I was nervous to leave my dog while on vacation and within a day I felt fully confident that my dog would be taken care of, as if I was home the whole time. I will absolutely be utilizing her setvices in the future and I can't thank her enough!”

“Caroline did a great job taking care of my shy kitty! She was very accommodating and understanding. Her communication was great and she left detailed notes after each visit. I would definitely recommend her!”

“Kirsten was amazing! She took great care of my three cats while I was gone for 3.5 weeks. She made sure to send me photos and videos every day, and it was clear in those videos how much the cats adored her! I would absolutely re-hire her to take care of my cats in the future.”

“Caterina was an absolute lifesaver! She was able to accommodate a last-minute drop-in visit for my puppy, and I couldn’t be more grateful for her quick response and willingness to travel outside her normal radius to care for him. It meant so much to me to know he was in such good hands. I’m incredibly thankful for her and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for reliable and compassionate care. ❤️”

“Karla was a wonderful dog sitter. She was great at communicating about how the day went with them and sending pictures. We weren't worried about them at all. We will definitely hire her again if we need another sitter! Thank you Karla!”

“Alex and her daughter were wonderful caretakers for our shy kitty Mia and our aquarium fish. This was my second booking with Alex, and I will definitely book again.”

“Kayla was awesome checking in on our cats, dog and puppy! She went above and beyond when our puppy wasn't feeling well. Great communication, super flexible, and clearly cared a lot. Highly recommend!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
